"The golden sunrise over the Meili Snow Mountains is a beacon of faith for countless people. As the first rays of light pierce through the clouds, the thirteen snow-capped peaks awaken one after another, and a golden glow, like a divine oracle, bathes the shoulders of Kawagebo. At the foot of the mountains, glacial meltwater forms the headwaters of the Lancang River, nourishing this hidden paradise known as ”Shangri-La.” The Shangri-La stupa stands silently deep within the snow mountains, its white body and the surrounding prayer flags whispering in the wind, as if narrating stories of millennia of reincarnation. Meanwhile, the prayer wheels of Dukezong Ancient Town slowly turn, the rich aroma of highland barley wine and ******* incense mingling on the flagstone streets. Under the moonlight, the ancient city walls reflect the vicissitudes of history, every brick etched with the legends of the Tea Horse Road. Here, the symphony of nature and humanity never ceases. The sanctity of the snow mountains, the solemnity of the stupa, and the vibrant life of the ancient town together weave a moving tapestry, allowing every visitor to find a spiritual home in this land."

"I declare this to be the best hotel of my entire Yunnan trip, from facilities to service, everything was absolutely perfect. If the saying 'a hotel feels like home when traveling alone' is usually an exaggeration, here it's a genuine truth. From the warm hand towels and ginger tea upon entering, to the staff leading me to my room and explaining the amenities and services, everything felt incredibly welcoming and just right. Afternoon tea could be enjoyed until 10 PM and was of very high quality. I was lucky enough to witness the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' from my room's balcony in the morning. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends."

"This place was the perfect base for my Yubeng trip, and the location is simply unbeatable. I could lie in bed and watch the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' phenomenon on Shennv Peak, and opening the window revealed panoramic views of Yubeng Lower Village. The changing scenery of the snow-capped mountains and the village, from day to night, became part of my room's vista. What truly impressed me was how thoughtful the owner was, understanding the needs of hikers. Upon check-in, I received a generous hiking supply kit, refreshing fruit, and even a ceremonial hiking medal, which instantly melted away the fatigue of my journey. After my hike, there was warm ginger tea to ward off the cold and a foot bath to soothe my tired muscles. Plus, a clingy little cat would snuggle on my lap, making all the altitude sickness and aches vanish in that moment. In the evening, sitting by the fire, chatting with pilgrims from all over about their travel stories, and listening to the wind and snow outside – that's the most captivating charm of Yubeng. Next time I visit Yubeng, this will definitely be my top choice again!"

"The hotel isn't far from Feilai Temple's bus parking lot and observation deck; they're all on the same street. It was quite tiring dragging my suitcase uphill when I first arrived. They have their own parking lot, which is great for those driving themselves. However, the mountain roads here are full of twists and turns, so you really need to be a confident driver. The room is quite spacious and newly decorated with a ******* style. The window faces the corridor, which can get noisy when there are a lot of guests. You can see some mountain views from the corridor, but to really see the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight,' you still need to go to the observation deck. The two sinks in the room are a very convenient feature. The room has oxygen supply and underfloor heating, and the comforters are incredibly thick – you'll only feel too warm, never cold. The butler service was enthusiastic. Overall, the value for money is good, and it's much more comfortable than staying in an older guesthouse."

"The overall environment was very clean and tidy, and the in-room facilities were well-maintained, making us feel completely at ease using them. This place offers excellent value for money. Given its prime location as one of the best viewpoints, being able to stay so comfortably and enjoy such breathtaking scenery truly made it worth every penny! I highly recommend it to fellow travelers planning a visit to Feilai Temple to see Meili Snow Mountain!"

"First off, I really loved the room's layout and decor. It came with underfloor heating and oxygen supply, which was a nice touch. The common areas were also very cozy and inviting. Secondly, the service was excellent! Every staff member was kind, thoughtful, and proactive in resolving any issues. They offer a lovely afternoon tea on the 5th floor, and breakfast was plentiful. The biggest highlight is being able to see the snow-capped mountains right from your bed. You can also capture the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' phenomenon from the 5th-floor terrace, where they have plenty of tripods ready for use. It's about a 30-minute drive to Feilai Temple, passing through Deqin County. I usually don't leave reviews, but I had to for this one because I really enjoyed it and wanted to provide a reference for future travelers."

"The hotel service was incredibly attentive, and the owner was warm and patient. As a new hotel, it's very clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The underfloor heating and heated mattress were absolutely fantastic for hikers! This is one of the better hotels in Yubeng. It's located in Upper Yubeng, quite high up, offering spectacular views. Our fourth-floor room had an unobstructed view directly facing Goddess Peak and Five Crowns Peak, perfect for watching the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' and 'Silver Mountain in the Moonlight'. At night, I could open the curtains and see a sky full of stars."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the Wunongding viewing platform for Meili Snow Mountain. You can directly view the snow-capped mountains from your bed on the balcony. If you're taking photos, a white pagoda in front might obstruct the view, so you'd need to go down to the viewing platform below. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, including an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. The decor style is both modern and incorporates ******* elements. During the Spring Festival, the hotel's dinner is a set menu, requiring reservations, costing around 270-280 RMB for three people. The dining area features a long table, which feels very ceremonial, and there are two fireplaces in the back that create a medieval ambiance when lit. We stayed here for two nights, and on the second evening, we ordered hotpot. The owner even gave us an extra platter of beef, and we also ordered a bottle of local ice wine, which tasted quite good. Breakfast is a set menu, with rich milk and rice noodles served in ceramic pots; both were delicious. The hotel's exterior is the white building on the far left of image 4 below. We stayed for two nights, originally planning for a backup day in case we missed the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon, but we were incredibly lucky to witness it beautifully on both days. The scenery was absolutely stunning."

"This was an absolutely unforgettable stay! The guesthouse is a reconstruction of the owner's original home, and I was immediately struck by its beauty upon entering: the Western-style staircase paired with ******* paintings was exquisite and beautiful! The rooms were even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures showed, mainly due to the attention to detail, including the tea corner, the automatic sensor lights in the bathroom, and the copper sink. This guesthouse offers excellent value for money, comparable to well-known hotels costing nearly a thousand yuan. It's truly a hidden gem. The guesthouse's large terrace is just a short distance above a bend in the Jinsha River, offering stunning views! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Yunnan and Tibet!"
