Being on a high floor, the view from the window is bright and open, and the room itself is spacious, so it never feels cramped. The staff are warm and efficient, and they even offer free shuttle service to and from Luohu Port, which makes staying here so hassle-free and comfortable. I truly recommend it!"

The Shangri-La reception team shared helpful suggestions on where to go and how to get there, suggestions that made a difference. The room standard has been consistent. The city view room was bright, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The amenities are fantastic with a well-kept sauna and jacuzzi.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and kind, always ready to help with any issues we had, which made traveling with young children much easier. The hotel's surroundings were very convenient, with plenty of options for dining, transportation (like hailing a taxi), and shopping.
The room was spacious and comfortable, but the most pleasant surprise was how excellent the soundproofing was. No matter how lively it was outside, the room remained incredibly quiet. The pillows and mattress were also very comfortable, ensuring both adults and children had a great night's sleep.
This trip had been a bit tiring due to flight delays, but coming here, we could finally truly relax, sleep in until we naturally woke up, fully recharge, and then continue with the rest of our journey.

"This stay was at the Intercity Hotel Futian Huanggang in Shenzhen. The room was comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the Huazhu TV cast screen feature was very convenient. The bed was just the right balance of soft and firm. The hotel service was excellent; the staff were friendly and promptly offered water upon arrival. The mini-fridge was stocked with Coke and dark beer, and the delivery robots for room service and takeout were efficient. Overall, it offered great value for money and a very good hotel experience. The breakfast selection was extensive, with plenty of cold dishes and a wide variety of hot food. I'd say it's among the best for this type of hotel, and I definitely enjoyed a hearty meal. LLainey15This place is INCREDIBLE . Huge lobby with friendly staff to greet you and help you with queries. One particular girl helped us check in and added us on WeChat so we could ask her any questions any time. The reception staff and ropeu verify our WeChat accounts. There is also 24hr security . Huge dining area and restaurant with delicious breakfast from 6am - 10am both Chinese and European styled buffet items. Our room in particular was immaculate . Huge room and cleanliness was amazing as we are very particular but no corner was missed. Bathroom with two seperate sinks and seperate closed off toilet and shower were great not to mention toilet has a bidet and shower is HUGE . Aircon is strong. Bed is huge . View is over the streets and can see high rises in distance. You are also walking distance to the Huaqiangbei tech markets, a Family mart, McDonalds , and many many more shops and restaurants as well as a metro station just outside the lobby. Smoking area right outside the door and very convenient entrance where there is no issue catching Didi or taxis from. You also get a free afternoon snack mini buffet from 3pm-5pm and a free evening snack from 9pm - 10pm. Cannot fault this hotel it was luxurious . Water pressure is also very good and immediate hot/cold . There is also 24hour gym and free Landry service and robots bring your ordered food to your door. Thank you would love to stay here again.a

If you're looking for a dream-like escape in bustling Shenzhen, where you can ”face the sea, and watch the spring flowers bloom,” it has to be the newly reopened **MGM Shenzhen**. As a brand-new landmark in the Xiaomeisha area, it redefines Shenzhen's coastal resort aesthetic with its vibrant ocean-inspired design and the prestigious heritage of Diaoyutai MGM.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the magnificent sea view burst through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. I stayed in a **Deluxe Seaview Room**, a spacious 50-square-meter-plus space where the elegant combination of original wood and deep-sea blue felt incredibly sophisticated. The expansive balcony framed the **180-degree uninterrupted sea view** into a dynamic masterpiece. Waking up to the gentle sound of waves in the morning and watching the sunset paint the sea red in the evening – this sense of relaxation, sleeping with the waves in a city, is truly a luxury.
”Entertainment that moves you” is part of MGM's brand DNA, and the experience here goes far beyond just relaxing. The most impressive features were the direct access to the beach and the outdoor heated infinity pool. Although it was a bit cool in early summer, gazing at the sea instantly soothed my mind and body. In the evening, the **”M Show”**, straight from Las Vegas, captivated us outdoors with fire acrobatics and dazzling light effects, igniting the coastal night – it's an enthusiasm unique to MGM.
However, the luxury hardware is just the foundation; the real warmth comes from the service. The day before my arrival, ”Peacock 🦚” from the guest experience department contacted me via WeChat to discuss my needs. Everything, from a bed rail for my child to beach slippers, was meticulously arranged. At breakfast in the Feast restaurant, the combination of Eggs Benedict and authentic Cantonese dim sum was a delightful culinary experience.
At MGM Shenzhen, both the facilities and the heartfelt service truly deserve a five-star rating. It's not just about luxurious hardware, but also the gentle service that touches your heart. This wasn't just a stay; it was a magnificent memory of the ocean, art, and love. I will definitely return for our next anniversary.

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

Facilities: The large shower head was very comfortable, and the hot water came on quickly. The smart toilet was a nice convenience. They even provided bath bags for the bathtub. The pool was clean, and the poolside bar had a great vibe at night. There's also a robot that delivers takeaways.
Service: Every staff member I encountered was incredibly warm and friendly. The front desk was very professional and even gave us sand-digging tools. They upgraded our room type, and everyone would proactively greet us when we came and went. The new lady at the front desk had a very friendly smile. On the morning of April 9th, the housekeeping auntie on the 3rd floor was exceptionally good; she immediately provided anything guests needed and was very enthusiastic.
The hotel is right across from an outlet mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. Next time I'm in Dameisha, I will definitely stay here again.

Bbost315The room was excellent, the facilities were great, the pool was fantastic, the service was superb, and the view was amazing. A few things really stood out: first, they thoughtfully gave us a complimentary breakfast since we were traveling with two kids; second, they arranged a room with a view of Window of the World for us; and third, even though our original room on the sixth floor already had a great view, when we expressed concerns about potential noise near the elevator (which turned out to be unfounded), the hotel staff went above and beyond by checking the Window of the World light show schedule to help us choose an alternative room. Overall, the service was exceptional, and I'll definitely choose The Westin Shenzhen Nanshan again next time!

GGuest UserThe room was spacious and pretty good, though I wasn't a fan of the sandalwood scent – not sure if it was an air freshener or something else. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, actively fulfilling all our requests.
The location is excellent, very close to everything in Futian. The lobby was a bit hard to find; the entrance had promotional photos for a restaurant, so I actually thought it was a restaurant at first, but it turned out to be the lobby.
There was some construction happening on the way from the metro station, but we chose a larger room that wasn't facing the street, so we didn't hear any construction noise – it was very quiet.
The toiletries in the room smelled great, which was a nice touch.
