"I had a lot of luggage, but the hotel offered a shuttle service. I called them upon arriving at the bus station, and a car picked me up within minutes. The hotel is conveniently located near both the bus station and the viewing platform. The rooms come with oxygen and heating, and the shower had great water pressure with quick hot water. Whenever I had an issue, I contacted the owner, who resolved it very quickly. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. A truly excellent stay!"

In the morning, we went to see the 'Sunrise Golden Mountains,' visiting both the Feilai Temple viewing platform and viewing platform #3 (pic 6). Afterward, we came back and leisurely enjoyed the rice noodles and other breakfast items provided by the hotel. I'll definitely be back!"

The underfloor heating and heated mattress were absolutely fantastic for hikers! This is one of the better hotels in Yubeng. It's located in Upper Yubeng, quite high up, offering spectacular views. Our fourth-floor room had an unobstructed view directly facing Goddess Peak and Five Crowns Peak, perfect for watching the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' and 'Silver Mountain in the Moonlight'. At night, I could open the curtains and see a sky full of stars."

"I declare this to be the best hotel of my entire Yunnan trip, from facilities to service, everything was absolutely perfect. If the saying 'a hotel feels like home when traveling alone' is usually an exaggeration, here it's a genuine truth. From the warm hand towels and ginger tea upon entering, to the staff leading me to my room and explaining the amenities and services, everything felt incredibly welcoming and just right. Afternoon tea could be enjoyed until 10 PM and was of very high quality. I was lucky enough to witness the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' from my room's balcony in the morning. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends."

"The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. The 24-hour hot water and separate wet and dry areas were fantastic. The hotel thoughtfully provided local seasonal fruits and snacks in the lobby for guests to help themselves. It was my first time trying Naxi apples, and they were delicious! The sunlight streaming into the hotel restaurant and kitchen made breakfast feel warm and cozy. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including corn buns, rice noodles, and unique fried barley pastries. The owners were very welcoming; they answered all my questions about Shangri-La and provided information on nearby attractions and routes. I stayed for three nights! Also, Benzilan is located in a valley at a low altitude, with a cool and comfortable climate."

GGuest UserFirst off, I really loved the room's layout and decor. It came with underfloor heating and oxygen supply, which was a nice touch. The common areas were also very cozy and inviting.
Secondly, the service was excellent! Every staff member was kind, thoughtful, and proactive in resolving any issues. They offer a lovely afternoon tea on the 5th floor, and breakfast was plentiful.
The biggest highlight is being able to see the snow-capped mountains right from your bed. You can also capture the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' phenomenon from the 5th-floor terrace, where they have plenty of tripods ready for use.
It's about a 30-minute drive to Feilai Temple, passing through Deqin County.
I usually don't leave reviews, but I had to for this one because I really enjoyed it and wanted to provide a reference for future travelers.

I'd heard for a while that Meili Podu was the 'must-visit' hotel pinnacle. I'd stayed at Tengchong Podu before and found it rather ordinary, but this time I finally decided to go for the Meili route. The 4-hour drive from Shangri-La wasn't short, but the moment we arrived in Wunongding – it was totally worth it! 🤍
🌄 Environment
We stayed in the White Pagoda Room. Although it didn't face directly onto the main peak of Kawagebo, the window view was still tranquil and therapeutic. Wunongding is quiet with few people. In the morning, drinking hot tea on the balcony and watching the clouds drift among the mountains brought such peace to my mind.

I never expected to find such photo-worthy and delicious afternoon tea at such a high altitude! The pastries were exquisite, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Just staring at the snow-capped mountains, taking photos, and sipping tea – it was the ideal vacation scene! 📸
🛌 Room Experience
The complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar were plentiful. They even thoughtfully provided a large cloth bag, fearing we couldn't carry everything. The room was warm and clean, and bathing while enjoying the mountain view was absolutely divine. In the evening, we immersed ourselves in making ******* incense and painting Thangkas, truly experiencing ******* culture. Time here became soft and precious.

Upon entering, we were presented with a Hada (ceremonial scarf) and welcome tea. The service throughout was warm yet restrained. When we checked out, the front desk gave us a prayer wheel and handmade soap. Leaving with such blessings, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being a guest at a friend's home for two days.

This place truly feels like a 'temple dedicated to the snow-capped mountains.'
Located at Wunongding, 3600 meters above sea level, it offers direct views of Kawagarbo Peak. You can tell the designer's thoughtfulness in every detail: stone floors, a real bonfire, a panoramic glass wall in the observation deck, and smoke marks on the walls. The architecture, interplay of light and shadow, and a sense of reverence redefine a pilgrimage journey here.
The rooftop bar is incredibly cozy. The staff member there is knowledgeable about constellations and great at photography. Capturing the moments of a brilliant starry sky, a pink and purple dawn, and golden snow-capped peaks—even just doing nothing and letting time pass here is absolutely wonderful.

GGuest UserFirst off, I have to say, this guesthouse is destined to be a hit! I'd been planning my trip to Meili Snow Mountain for a long time, did a lot of research, and ultimately decided to stay in Feilai Peak.
There were quite a few hotel and guesthouse options around Feilai Peak, but I eventually settled on this guesthouse with zero negative reviews.
1. **Transportation:** The guesthouse is less than a 10-minute walk from the Feilai Peak parking lot. The national highway is now fully paved, making it an easy walk. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the Feilai Peak observation deck, where you can see the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' phenomenon – very convenient.
2. **Facilities:** The room facilities are brand new because it's a recently opened establishment. They are very modern, with oxygen supply, electric blankets, heaters, and heated toilet seats, all readily available. I was truly surprised by how advanced everything was.
3. **Food:** We weren't arriving at the guesthouse until almost 10 PM, and I was initially wondering how we'd get dinner. To my surprise, the guesthouse offers a variety of meals, and the selection is very rich. Guests even get a 15% discount, and the owner personally delivered our food to the room. The taste was excellent!
4. **Personal Touch:** The main reason I'd recommend everyone stay here is the incredible hospitality from the owners. From the moment we checked in, the proprietress informed us of the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' viewing times, helped us with our luggage and storing our suitcases, and even turned on the oxygen and electric blankets in our room. Because we spent a bit longer admiring the snow mountains the next day, the proprietress patiently waited for us to return and prepared a lavish rice noodle breakfast, complete with eggs, hot soy milk, and fruit. It was incredibly thoughtful and touching.
Finally, I want to say that travel isn't just about enjoying beautiful scenery; it's also about experiencing the local culture and people. From the owners, I felt their warmth, kindness, and attentiveness. At this price, not only is the accommodation great value for money, but the human touch is truly priceless. I wish the owners all the best!

ZZhixiao-The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

Opening the window revealed a stunning view of snow-capped mountains and a sea of clouds – the romantic snowy scenery was just breathtaking. The room was cozy and clean, with plenty of oxygen, so I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. Just sitting on the balcony quietly watching the snow was so therapeutic and lovely. AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room, especially the terrace on the third floor which is particularly photogenic against the backdrop of the Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel service is also in place and is worth recommending.

The thoughtful details truly stand out: oxygen supply, hot water, and self-service laundry facilities, which were very handy for changing clothes after a hike. Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍
