"This was my second stay at a Wanda property. Because hotel prices were much higher than usual at Wanda during Chinese New Year, I opted for the Sheraton instead, even though two nights still cost nearly 7,000 RMB. But to my surprise, I was disappointed in every aspect… Firstly, on February 16th, as soon as I entered the lobby, I saw guests arguing with hotel staff. I wasn't sure about the specific reason, but I already had a bad feeling. Secondly, February 16th was Chinese New Year's Eve. My family of three was watching the Spring Festival Gala in the room, and when we tried to pull down the shower curtain, it was broken. After reporting it, we found that even when the curtain was down, it was still see-through… I nearly fainted! This might be okay for couples, but if you're traveling with friends or family with kids, wouldn't that be incredibly awkward? Then, when we were ready to sleep that night, we discovered an issue with the toilet – there was a constant dripping sound, which was driving me crazy. It was Chinese New Year and the middle of the night, so I decided to deal with it the next day. I communicated with the hotel concierge in the morning but never heard back about a resolution. After breakfast, I had to speak to the front desk myself to get a room change… It was a huge hassle, moving from one end of the hotel to the other (a very long walk, dragging suitcases for 10 minutes, and taking two different elevators). The most ridiculous part was that this concierge, after we checked in, enthusiastically recommended various paid activities to us, and we even booked some through him… Ha! During Chinese New Year, I didn't want to ruin our trip or make things difficult for the staff who were still working. So, I tried to keep my negative emotions to myself. However, an old, established hotel, even if it's been open for a long time, isn't excused from all problems. Proper equipment maintenance and staff quality training are just basic operational necessities, aren't they? If they only think about making money from customers' pockets without any sincerity, how far can they really go?"

"We originally planned to stay for just 3 nights, but ended up extending our stay to 6 — and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing hospitality from the manager, Mr Zhang Meng Xu. Zhang was incredibly responsive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. What really made the difference was how he took the time to introduce us to many attractions, activities, foods, and interesting things to do around the area. His recommendations made the trip far more enjoyable and helped us discover places, foods we probably would have missed otherwise. Because of his helpful guidance and the welcoming atmosphere, extending our stay felt like an easy decision. Truly appreciate the great service and hospitality. Highly recommended"

"The suite was perfect for a family with kids; the sofa could be made into a comfortable bed for one person. The hotel shuttle to the ski resort ran every 10 minutes, and the front desk helped us arrange a coach and rent ski clothes, which was very convenient. We participated in many hotel activities, and the hiking one was excellent!"

"When I arrived at this hotel early in the morning, I actually felt puzzled, wondering if all the surrounding shops and other hotels were closed. It seemed that not only was it not the peak tourist season, but the economic situation might also be unfavorable, which likely explained it. Since I arrived at the hotel too early, no rooms were ready yet. So, I left my luggage with the hotel first and set out for a tour of the western course of Mount Baekdu. When I returned, my luggage had already been placed in the room assigned to me. The condition of the room was impeccably clean. When I woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, the bright sunlight streaming into the room made me feel incredibly refreshed. I went down to the lobby for breakfast, and the hotel owner personally set the table. The food was exceptionally neat and delicious. Moreover, the owner spoke better English than anyone else at other hotels, which was a great help. It was a clean, cozy, and comfortable hotel to stay in. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator, but carrying luggage up one floor shouldn’t be a problem for most people. "The location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk to the commercial street with a wide variety of restaurants. However, some stores, like McDonald's and Starbucks, were closed. The hotel also offers a great selection of entertainment facilities; the pool is clean and well-supervised, maintaining good order. Cleanliness: Generally very clean, and housekeeping was prompt. Ambiance: Although the hotel is older, it's very well-maintained. Service: Any issues were resolved quickly with a fast response time. Even during the busy Dragon Boat Festival, the service quality remained excellent. Overall, it offers great value for money! I'll definitely be back!"

"Traveling to Changbai Mountain with my family, we chose this hotel and it exceeded our expectations! It was super clean, and all the staff had excellent service attitudes. It's about 200 meters from the ticket hall of the West Scenic Area, which was incredibly convenient. A very satisfying trip!"

"The rooms are quite old and outdated. Compared to my first stay three years ago, the facilities and service are simply incomparable. The only upside is that the room is very spacious and has a dedicated kitchen. While there's no electric stove in the kitchen, its large size is great for storing things. The amenities are generally quite old; for instance, the magnifying mirror in the bathroom had come loose from its screws and fallen off. However, after I called, they sent someone to fix it immediately. On the day we checked in, the underfloor heating in both the living room and bedroom wasn't on, making it very cold. It only got slightly better on the second day. The overall heating supply is insufficient, and I had to wear thick clothes indoors. Compared to Wanda, the heating supply is much worse. The service on the night of check-in was good; the front desk even helped receive a package for me, which was convenient. However, after the front desk staff changed on the morning of the 25th, the service became very poor, especially from a female staff member standing on the left side. She answered 'I don't know' to everything. When I asked about the price of ski tickets, how to buy them, and if there were any discounts, she didn't even look up and replied that we needed to go out and find out ourselves, and that these questions were irrelevant to the hotel and she wouldn't answer them. The service in the breakfast restaurant on the first floor of the hotel was quite good, and the complimentary ginseng chicken soup set dinner was also delicious. The restaurant servers provided excellent service. Also, we stayed in a one-bedroom suite, and the living room had a sofa bed that could be pulled out for children, but the living room bathroom had no toiletries whatsoever. I had to call twice to get them delivered, which was very inconvenient."

"Parking was super convenient with a dedicated lot. The cleanliness was meticulous, and the bathroom amenities were complete, including disposable toilet seat covers and bath towels. What was most heartwarming was that the staff knew the local road conditions well. They clearly explained how to get to the mountain and where to buy tickets for rafting at a good price. They even helped thoroughly search for a small item I lost. If you want to eat Northeastern cuisine, there are options right outside. It made our trip hassle-free and enjoyable, and our whole family had a comfortable stay."
