"I came to Shaoxing during the full bloom of the Chinaberry trees this time, and when it came to where to stay, there was no doubt – Shaoxing Hotel. I'd walked past it from Xixiaolu to Xiaohe Zhijie at the end of last year, and this Jiangnan-style garden hotel immediately went onto my 'must-stay' list.
Shaoxing Hotel is beautiful both inside and out, with stunning scenery everywhere. All the staff are incredibly friendly and greet you warmly. On the day I checked in, the front desk even upgraded me to the second floor of Building 2, facing Fushan Park. The sanitary facilities are, needless to say, exceptionally clean, featuring a smart toilet and a multi-function shower with several massage jets. The sink area also has separate strong and weak voltage outlets for hair dryers and men's razors.
The breakfast restaurant is downstairs. I passed it multiple times during the day and evening. It offers Shaoxing specialties, and the food is quite good. After breakfast, you can head to Fushan Park across the street for a panoramic view of the city.
Shaoxing Hotel isn't just about its beautiful environment and excellent service; it also boasts a fantastic, central location in Shaoxing. You can walk to Xiaohe Zhijie, Cangqiao, and Lu Xun's former residence. I've compared this over my two visits to Shaoxing in the past six months and have already recommended it to several good friends."

"The hotel's location is great, right within the scenic area, and there's a parking lot available, which is really convenient if you're driving. I quite like the overall courtyard-style design of the hotel; it's also great for taking pictures. The room is quite spacious, and I booked a riverside room this time. The hotel boasts a layout far exceeding that of budget hotels, with a massive atrium typically found only in five-star establishments. The in-room amenities are equally impressive. The gentleman at the front desk was warm and approachable, yet maintained that comfortable professional demeanor characteristic of a hotelier. The restaurant staff, from the manager to the servers, were all incredibly pleasant, and both the quality and quantity of the dishes were excellent. Even the security guards at the entrance were well-trained. The gym and laundry facilities also scored high marks. In short, the hotel ensures guests begin their delightful Holiday Inn experience right from the moment they step through the main entrance. This hotel has now been added to my personal list of 'definitely will stay again' places. "Location & Transport: It's super convenient, only a three-minute drive to Qiaobo Ski Resort.
Service Details: The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even providing toothbrushes and slippers for kids, which was a really thoughtful touch.
Room Facilities: The room was larger than I expected with fantastic views. The bedding was very comfortable, and I appreciated the choice of firm or soft pillows. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the water pressure was excellent, and hot water was instant.
Cleanliness: The carpet and bed sheets were spotless, with no unpleasant odors. As someone who's particular about cleanliness, I was very satisfied.
Breakfast/Dining: Breakfast was good, with noodles and rice vermicelli available. The fruit was fresh and replenished promptly, and there was still plenty to eat even when I went at 10 AM.
Overall Summary: Excellent value for money. It's perfect for both leisure and business trips. I've already saved this place for future stays!"

"An elderly couple, we returned to our hometown Shaoxing to pay respects to our ancestors. Last year, we also booked this hotel for two nights. The location is great, and we felt it offered good value for money. Plus, we have a soft spot for Wyndham (we've booked the Wyndham Suzhou Wujiang Zhiyin for Chinese New Year's Eve for several years now). Miss Ding Wenqian at the front desk even gave us a complimentary upgrade, which I believe meant a larger room. Da Yu Ling (Yu the Great's Mausoleum) is just across the road. Crucially, her attitude was very kind and approachable. The lobby decor is also quite grand. Compared to the price, the breakfast was really good – a buffet with both Chinese and Western options. We'll definitely book this hotel again next year."

The gym, though small, is well-equipped. Breakfast, however, was pretty average, nothing special, and honestly, it lowers the hotel's overall standard a bit. "When checking in, the front desk staff, Xiao Ge and Wen Qing, were incredibly polite and patient. They kindly informed us about the hotel's facilities and their locations. The check-in process was very quick; we got our room card with hardly any wait. The room was more spacious than expected, spotlessly clean, with no dust on the surfaces or floor. The bedding felt soft and had no strange odors. The bathroom had a convenient wet and dry separation, and the toiletries provided were comprehensive. Hot water was plentiful, and the water temperature remained stable during showers, so there was no long wait for it to heat up."

A special shoutout to Xiao Luo, whose attentiveness and warm demeanor made us feel genuinely pampered. From thoughtfully sharing local tips, her dedication embodied the resort’s commitment to hospitality.
As a pet owner, I was thrilled by the resort’s pet-friendly ethos. Our furry companion was welcomed with treats, a comfy bed, and even a playful toy! Beyond that, the resort curated delightful activities: guided hikes through misty trails, flower-picking in sun-dappled meadows, and complimentary photo shoots at scenic hilltop vistas. MM294207****Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and relatively new. My room didn't have a fridge. A plus is that you can log in directly to watch anything on the TV box, and the internet speed is good.
Cleanliness: Generally quite clean; even the corners were taken care of.
Environment: The location is decent. It's near Cangqiao Old Street, close to Lu Xun's former residence and next to Xu Wei's former residence. It feels like it's in the middle of all the popular attractions. The distance is probably between 1-3 kilometers. If the weather were cooler, you could easily walk, but it's been too hot during my stay, except for Cangqiao Old Street which is very close. I really love the room; it seems like an old house? It's a Chinese-style room with exposed beams and pillars. Lying in bed looking at the high beams, I think it's beautiful and doesn't feel oppressive.
Service: Pretty good; quick responses on WeChat.
Shaoxing snacks: They even gave me a coupon for stinky tofu from a shop at Lu Xun's former residence, which was authentic. When I went, the sister there also gave me fennel beans.

Firstly, it was very close to the attractions, with convenient transportation and easy parking for those driving. Secondly, the street in front of the guesthouse was beautiful, perfect for taking photos and exploring the surrounding area. Thirdly, the owner was incredibly welcoming. The complimentary traditional handcrafted Shaoxing wine was delicious. I absolutely loved this city; our time there was too short, but I'll definitely come back again.
