"Smile Hotel Shinsaibashi in Osaka truly exceeded my expectations, offering a five-star experience. The location is superb, right next to the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping district. Everything from shopping and dining to attractions is within easy reach, yet the hotel itself is a tranquil oasis, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless, the bedding pristine, and the bathroom gleamed. The air was fresh and pleasant. While the facilities aren't luxurious, they are complete and practical. The comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep, and thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and an air purifier were much appreciated. The staff were a true highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and even hand-drawing maps to help with directions, which made me feel incredibly welcome. In summary, with its convenient location, pristine environment, excellent facilities, and attentive service, this is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Osaka. My only regret is that this was just a stopover for me, and I only stayed for one day before heading to Kyoto. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Osaka."

"This is a classic old Japanese hotel. As soon as I entered, someone helped me with my luggage. For this price, having breakfast included is a really good deal. I used the computers in the executive lounge to print some documents for work. Although the interior design is a bit older, the TV can cast, so it was perfectly fine to stay there. The service attitude was also great; as soon as a staff member saw me holding my luggage tag, they immediately came over to assist. The staff at breakfast were very enthusiastic when I went around 7 AM. By 8:50 AM, there was already a queue, so I recommend going early. I only had time to stay one night for this business trip, but I'll definitely come back for a longer stay next time."

"I found a hotel conveniently located near Namba and Shinsaibashi. The most direct subway exit is Nihonbashi Exit 7, and there are plenty of 24-hour convenience stores right downstairs. At night, while some noise was audible, it was generally quiet most of the time. The corridors are brightly lit. The room is compact but equipped with all essential facilities. The TV worked perfectly, the bathroom mirror is generously sized, and hot water comes out instantly. Service was good; you could easily pick up anything you needed from downstairs, and luggage storage was also available. (Overall, it was a very good stay, though a minor point would be some slight wall stains and the room genuinely being quite small)."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from Ebisucho Station. Right across from the subway station, there's a fantastic Abura Soba (oiled noodles) place – quite different from soup noodles, and I highly recommend it! There's a 7-Eleven directly opposite the hotel, and Nihonbashi, the 'anime/manga paradise,' is right next door. I stayed at Koko both at the start and end of my trip, and the fact that they provide P**ola brand toiletries was a lovely bonus."

"The lobby is quite small, but there's a self-service toiletries counter where you can grab essentials for free, including dental floss and tea bags. The hotel feels a bit dated, but it's very clean. The rooms aren't huge, but they're well-equipped and make good use of the space. The only downside was the air conditioning in the room; it made an irregular buzzing noise, likely due to its age. **Cleanliness:** The cleanliness was good, no major issues there. **Service:** The service was very attentive, and the front desk displayed a rainbow flag, indicating it's LGBTQ+ friendly. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it offered a good mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese options. We happened to be there during Japanese New Year, and they even served festive dishes like mochi soup. The hotel is next to a church. During my stay, I didn't encounter any church activities or services, but I did see a baseball or rugby practice nearby, probably from a local team. Most guests were Japanese and very polite. **Location:** The location is fantastic. The hotel is less than 300 meters from the subway station, right next to Osaka Prefectural Government Office, Osaka Police Headquarters, and Osaka NHK, which made me feel very safe. The intersection where the subway is located has a FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, Lawson, McDonald's, Sukiya, izakayas, yakiniku restaurants, coffee shops, and Sugiyama Pharmacy, making it incredibly convenient. Getting to Namba, Umeda, and Tennoji takes less than 20 minutes, so transportation is also excellent."

"Conveniently located at Dotonburi and about 6-7 mins walk to metro. Location is near bars and at night you will see girls and some males standing around, they won’t disturb you but will hang around getting customers into their bars. We stayed highest at level 12 so can’t hear any noise from the street. Rooms are very small and we couldn’t open our luggage at all, if you don’t mind this and the bar streets, it’s conveniently located. Also we took Namba Nankai line directly to airport so that’s nicely situated!"

"Excellent location, very close to Jusan (Juso) subway station, making it easy to get to Umeda. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, so it's not noisy at night. There are also many restaurants nearby. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Osaka."

"Just a few hundred meters from Osaka Station, it's an excellent location for shopping – you'll never run out of stores to visit. The hotel food was really good. The 25-square-meter room had no problem accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two 20-inch suitcases open at the same time. We stayed for four days, and the sheets were changed daily for the last two days. The only downside was that the windows on the 25th floor were sealed, even with central air conditioning."
