"We drove there. After parking, a shuttle bus picked us up. The journey was thrilling. Duoyishu Village, where we were staying, still retains traditional ways of working and living (the village itself is a bit primitive). "Canadian traveler stayed 3 nights in late September. Good breakfast. The resort is very nice, restaurant food dishes were tasty, services were excellent. Two rice terraces are within walking distance (Hani and Jiankou). Others are further out, you need to have your own transport.
Off season rates are very affordable. A bit off the off the beaten path. Highly recommended."

"This hotel is very well located, just next to the main road and only 100 meters from the scenic platform, making it super convenient for visiting the famous rice terraces.
Breakfast is served in a small restaurant downstairs, offering a Chinese-style noodle soup.
The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area.
The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery.
The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this.
Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!"

"The view is just as beautiful as it looks, and location wise it is ideal. The room was clean and stunning views.
The food was good when it was available, but many of the options on the menu were not available. Likewise, there was no water in the outdoor pool as advertised. The staff also said they didn’t know how to make cocktails, despite having a bar with all spirits available.
Finally, I would recommend AGAINST booking a car transit through the hotel. We ended up missing our train from Kunming because the driver (and her friend, who was brought along for the ride) stopped multiple times, including for long snack breaks, so we arrived 20 minutes after our train time."

The large air conditioner in the room is a cabinet air conditioner with strong wind power, but the lights are dim. The hotel is backed by a mountain, and there are workers building steps outside the window, making it impossible to open the curtains. Occasionally there are small insects infested, so it is recommended to close the sewer. Breakfast is red rice noodles, which is very unique and feels pretty good for this small county."

"Wow, you have such a wonderful guesthouse in China!
The room environment, cleanliness, and service were all excellent. Thanks to Honghe Prefecture, which isn't yet highly commercialized, I was able to stay in a guesthouse with a view comparable to a thousand-yuan guesthouse for under 400 yuan.
The guesthouse owners (doge emoji) are three young men who are warm, gentle, and kind.
They provide free red rice noodles for breakfast. We also get to drink the owners' homemade coffee. They even wash, dry, and deliver my clothes to my room.
Overall, a fantastic experience! I would sincerely recommend it to my friends!

"Checked in on the 2nd. It was foggy on the way here. I didn't see the sunrise on the second day, but I could see the sunrise today. This B&B has a great location for watching the sunrise. It is located next to the mountain. I feel that the owner may be an art major. There are many windows, and the opening position has the effect of a framed mirror. There is a small tea room on the top floor with glass on all four sides. It is an excellent sunrise viewing room. It has a different feeling. Trout and begonias are raised in the house. There is a small tea table and tea sets by the window in the house. The quilts are also relatively comfortable. The price-performance ratio is very high. There are not many people at this time of year. I think the rice will grow more beautiful in July and August. The staff here carry the luggage up and down, which is still quite hard. It is about five or six kilometers away from Azheke. We also went to Niujiaozhai to go to the market. However, the bathroom of the twin-bed room with a view that we stayed in did not have a door. "We booked the terraced field homestay 2 days in advance. The room was brand new with smart toilet, air conditioning, clean and tidy, and the details of the signs were well done. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows made it a very stylish homestay. The parking lot was very convenient. It was only 200 meters away from the Duoyishu Scenic Area Observation Deck. It was also very convenient to drive there to watch the sunset. It was not far from several scenic spots. The owner of the hotel was also very enthusiastic and provided us with a map of the Yuanyang Terraces tourist route. The food was also delicious. The overall evaluation was very good, with five-star praise."

Wwjh732Best of this trip! It was worth it to change the itinerary! The children were reluctant to leave... The small mountain village is very comfortable, the B&B is in a good location, the food in the cafeteria is delicious and the coffee is delicious!
Facilities: Very complete, very good. I booked two rooms, one of which had a slight odor in the bathroom.
Hygiene: Very clean, very clean, very clean

1103617****The hotel has parking available about 400 meters away up a small hill. If you call, someone will come to help with your luggage. Since the twin rooms were fully booked, my friend and I reserved a triple room. It was very spacious with fantastic floor-to-ceiling windows! The bathroom wasn't separated into wet and dry areas, which I wasn't a fan of. However, I noticed this was only the case for the triple room; the double room next door had a separated bathroom. Also, the soundproofing wasn't great; we could clearly hear conversations and laughter from the next room, showering from upstairs, and people walking by in the hallway. Despite that, I still really liked the location. From the room and the rooftop terrace, you get unbeatable views of the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. I hope things continue to improve!

Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

GGuest UserIt is not easy to have such a hotel on the top of the mountain. It perfectly preserves the appearance characteristics of the Hani mushroom house. There is a short distance from the parking lot to the hotel that requires walking. Hani aunties will wait in advance to help carry the luggage. It is very close to the Azheke Ancient Village. The room was upgraded for free. The view is very good. The cherries at the door of the room are bright red. The breakfast variety is very rich.

Ccdhx7206This is the second time I stayed at Yunshang Terrace Hotel. The hotel is located in the Hani Town of Jingkou, with convenient parking. It is not too far from the main attractions of Yuanyang Terrace.
The hotel service is good, the room is clean and tidy, and it is relatively quiet at night. Because of the floor heating, it is very comfortable at night. In addition, the hotel restaurant is not bad, and the food is more in line with our taste. Finally, we were fortunate to see the spectacular sea of clouds in the early morning of the second day of our stay. The area around the hotel is like a fairyland.

MM441434****The room is very spacious and very clean. I stayed with my child. The standard room also has a letter bed design. The bed is against the wall and I don't have to worry about the child falling off when I sleep at night. The environment of the restaurant is also very good. The window next to the sofa table is the best spot to take pictures of the beautiful scenery without going out. The housekeeper took us to experience the fish catching activity. The children had a great time. The chef helped process the caught fish and made it delicious. All in all, it was a very satisfying trip. Food, accommodation, and entertainment were all arranged for you.

GGuest UserWe loved our stay. It was Chinese New Year so it was a bit busy in the area, but our hotel was an oasis. We found the hotel staff helpful and accommodating. This hotel is a good location if you want to hike through the rice terraces and from village to village.
