"This hotel is located in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang. We chose a room on the 4th floor with a terrace, and the view absolutely blew away all other rooms. We had a vast expanse of terraced fields right in front of us, perfect for photos at any time, especially stunningly beautiful at sunrise – no need to jostle with crowds at the Duoyishu observation deck. The room facilities were pretty complete, including a huge soaking tub, though it felt largely unnecessary. The hotel service was also excellent; they contacted us in advance about our arrival and parking. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, it's not accessible by private car, but the hotel provides a minivan for pick-up and drop-off at any time. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff were very helpful with luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel offers breakfast sets and also has an à la carte menu. I highly recommend this place for guests who want to enjoy beautiful scenery without having to get up too early or rush to crowded scenic spots. At night, countless stars twinkle above, and you can unwind on the rattan chair on the balcony. This must be what Tao Yuanming's Utopia was like.
The owner, Xiaohua, is a local. She's warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. She's brought together her fellow villagers to work and prosper together. Many of the local children are left-behind children, and she organizes bonfire parties, which entertain the guests and bring warmth to the kids. "If you are going to Honghe rice terraces, there is only ONE place you should consider staying in. Jacky's Guesthouse. First: location. The hotel is in the Duoyishu village, which will help you see average life of people living in that village. More that that, the guesthouse is right in front of Duoyishu rice terraces, so you can watch the sunrise from your roof. I have watched the sunrise from both my roof and the official viewing spot, and the viewing experience from the roof was so much more comfortable and good, because there are always a lot of people at the viewing spot, but there is only you on the roof. And the view is almost the same. The rice terraces are 5 minutes from the guesthouse, so anyone can go explore them an then come back home. Second: staff and services. The main hall is suuuper beautiful and cozy and you can order there food even quite late. The food was very tasty and not expensive. Jacky is one of the best people you will ever meet. He speaks English very well and he is very warmhearted and chill. He helped me a lot when I was living there and will help you too, so I strongly recommend you choose this guesthouse"

"The owners are very responsible; they contacted me on the day of check-in with the location and parking details. The room was spacious, and the air conditioning was strong. The views from the room, the first-floor terrace, and the rooftop terrace were perfect for watching the sunrise, the mirrored rice terraces, and the sunset glow. The food was also delicious; the dried beef fried rice was excellent—I hadn't enjoyed a big bowl of rice like that in ages. If you're not in a hurry to leave in the morning, you can change into Hani ethnic clothing for photos. The owners were very enthusiastic and even brought out headwear for me."

"This hotel is very well located, just next to the main road and only 100 meters from the scenic platform, making it super convenient for visiting the famous rice terraces.
Breakfast is served in a small restaurant downstairs, offering a Chinese-style noodle soup.
The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area.
The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery.
The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this.
Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!"

From the hotel you can visit Yuanyang terraced fields with a private driver if you can't drive.
We had a warm welcome and the staff was really helpful. They gave us advice on things to do, the best way to visit, the time that we needed...
The food at the hotel was awesome. We really like to eat spicy food so we were thrilled with every dish they served us.

Some of the best pictures I got in Yuanyang were taken right on my balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were so helpful, and the hotel food was delicious. It's a bit more on the expensive side relative to nearby hotels, but I think it's well worth the money. Would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserYou can’t get a better view. Of all the terraces, 多依樹 Duoyishu is the best one and all the rooms here have a large window over looking the terraces. There’s also roof top access to a big viewing platform. Breakfast is good and the hotel can serve dinner at a cost, it was reasonable and the fish was delicious!!
The beds have warming function and heating unit worked great. Warm milk before bedtime was a great plus.
The shower and toilets are in the same space, even though the space is big, I still thought it was a bit awkward, but over all I had a wonderful time! Don’t come with a lot of luggage, there’s a short trail you have to walk, they will carry your luggage for you but better pack light.
Will remember always.

TTebacaService: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.

The food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious; the two of us finished most of the bowl of rice. The only regret was that we didn't wear enough clothes for the hike up the mountain. After several days of travel fatigue, coupled with the strong winds in Duoyishu that morning, I caught a fever and slept until after noon before getting up.

GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

1. The room experience is excellent. Clean and hygienic, the space is much larger than the picture, and the bedding is comfortable. The boss's green environmental protection concept is very international. Who knows the joy of stepping barefoot on the wooden floor without dust?
2. The geographical position is superior. Most of the B&Bs in Duoyishu Village are on the mountain road, in scale. The blue stone path leads people to the mountain, and there is a sense of accident in Tao Gong's writing. A single-door courtyard, parking is possible, and the terraced mountain view is outside the window. Two kilometers away from Azheke, 15 minutes walk from Duoyishuzhai Observation Deck.
3. Lucky to meet the fairy boss Greg. The boss built and cared for the station as a paradise, introducing us to every plant inside and outside the garden of the hotel, every small flower, and every fruit tree, with light in his eyes. Take us on foot to feel the original village that has not been commercialized, go to the ”free but the landscape does not lose the paid” observation deck to see the magnificent terraces, chat with the villagers in the village, and hide under the canopy of the village and peel corn with the villagers uncle when it rains. On the foot, I helped me take care of Hum Xiaoxu and the mother behind Haha, I recommended us to go to Niujiaozhai to go to the market to eat barbecue...Knowledge ➕ experience ➕ fun ➕ emotional value is full. The most meaningful thing about traveling is to meet interesting people. I am very lucky to meet the hotel owner who has similar ideas and helped you worry about it. I accidentally chatted and asked a lot before I knew that the boss graduated from Fudan University’s finance department, Xueba + Traveler + VIP private teacher, I don’t know how many tags are there. 😃
The most delicious meal of the trip. Four meals are eaten at the homestay. Don’t worry about what to eat. Just give it to the boss to arrange it. The Hani sister Ma Kui is cooking. There are surprises. The peanut taro stem pumpkin flower soup is amazing to the taste buds. The mint fried ribs are empty. The fried sweets are fresh and the eyebrows are dropped. My baby loves the tree flower scrambled eggs. White water stew is fat and not greasy. The baby and marquee mother picked water stews in the yard and made soup. All meals the whole family likes. After leaving, they return to the city to eat. ps: The water pipes of the hotel and the water wells in the village are all direct drinking water, the entrance is sweet, the people in the clear Leiyu, and there is no diarrhea. There is no need for softening to wash your hair 😭

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!

LLezaiyuzhiMaybe because it was the off-season, there was no one at the counter when we arrived in the afternoon, so we had to go back to the car and wait because of the rain. It wasn't until a little brother came back that he went upstairs and asked someone to check in. The room is average, but it is still clean, the hot water is not hot, fortunately it is summer now. The restaurant downstairs is closed, so it is inconvenient to eat. You have to drive to a nearby restaurant to eat. I don't know how the breakfast is, because the restaurant is not open, but an old lady should be the mother of the boss! They said they could cook it for me, but it didn't work for me. Generally speaking, I feel that it is not in business and I do not recommend staying here unless it reopens, but there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. The parking space is at the door, so you can park 3~4 cars!
