Pet friendly Hotels in Yuanyang

Facilities: The hotel, opened in 2023, boasts relatively new facilities, including smart toilets and a fully integrated smart home system. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: The location is exceptional, offering panoramic views of the terraced fields. However, the road leading into the village is quite steep and winding, with sharp turns, so drivers need to be extra careful. Service: Extremely satisfied with the service. The staff members are all very genuine and hospitable, making you feel right at home. The red rice chicken soup rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the coffee was also excellent. Don't miss their hot pot tea experience or their restaurant, where the dipping sauce chicken is absolutely scrumptious!😋 Already looking forward to my next visit!

The room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of ​​clouds. The sea of ​​clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of ​​clouds at Duoyishu that day.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this B&B! Both the exterior and interior are beautiful, with great attention to detail. The location is fantastic; you can see large terraced fields right from your room. The rooftop terrace is perfect for sunrise photos and shots of the fields, and the small courtyard on the side offers stunning sunset views – it's absolutely on par with the scenery from Duoyishu Scenic Area. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and the rooms and bedding are fresh and odorless. The owner is very welcoming, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay.

The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

This was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

The room facilities were very new, and the double room had smart curtains, which is considered very good for the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. Breakfast was served at the hotel restaurant: rice noodles and eggs. The view was fantastic, overlooking two-thirds of the beautiful Duoyishu area – absolutely wonderful!

We wanted to come here for the lasts days of our China trip, the view seemed amazing. And it is, but when you buy the guest room with view you don’t know which one you will have, they have put many pictures of different room in the booking section. So we had the one with the view over the sink and from the showers which is amazing (but when arriving I thought the view was from other side too). We arrived and it was foggy for the whole day, fortunately we booked threee night and the next day was sunny ! I didn’t know there is so much fog in this area so think about it. We had only two choice for restaurants because it’s very small (or they didn’t tell us more) and they are really delicious. I tried to have a lot of informations from the host to know what to do and how but it was not clear . I think they could to better to explain guest how to move around and visit. We had to go to the tourist center 20min away and have information. The room is confortable, heating bed and heating in the room (but the heater makes a lot of noises)

The room was very spacious and well-equipped, with excellent furnishings. Parking was very convenient. It's located on a hillside on the other side of the scenic area, quite far from Duoyishu, so the sunrise view is significantly less impressive. The furniture was solid wood, but the bathtub and shower water temperature was only 40°C; I soaked for 20 minutes and it got freezing cold. The front desk staff weren't very attentive to guests. When I asked about the weather, they simply replied ”I don't know” and that was it. While this is understandable, one day while she was smoking, she greeted me, and I was throwing away trash in front of her because I had too many things in my hands. She didn't even get up to help. Basically, you're only treated as a guest room; there's no other information or service.

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great. Thanks Lucian! -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS. I had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops. The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. For only 70 RMB he drove me in other scenic areas both in the morning and in the afternoon and waited for me as long as I needed to (we went to Bada rice terraces, which is famous for the sunset, and he waited for me for more than two hours). He offered me food, tea and helped me to arrange my way back to the bus station in Nansha (南沙). The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and it was possible to warm it using an electric blanket. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
