Hotels in Cangshan Scenic Area, Dali

The front desk service was excellent; they proactively helped with my luggage as soon as I entered, despite there being steps. The facilities are well-equipped, and the breakfast was delicious with extended hours. They even upgraded my room and granted a late checkout. The hotel's surroundings are very relaxing, with a small park right outside. Overall, it's quiet and not noisy at all, making for a very comfortable stay.

Heartwarming Service but Disappointing Room Layout & Location 1. Amazing Staff Support: • As foreigners without Chinese phone numbers, we couldn't rent the ”Snoopy” electric cars. The staff went above and beyond, using their own accounts to scan, pay, and even remotely lock/unlock the cars for us throughout the day. They even handled the return process when there were technical issues. • Flexible Service: They were kind enough to serve breakfast at 8:00 AM (30 minutes earlier than scheduled) to accommodate our early plans. ＞＞＞ The staff here are the biggest plus. They were incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic, and supported us throughout our stay in Dali. Whether it was helping with our heavy luggage or providing local recommendations, their hospitality was genuine and much appreciated. 2. Room Layout: Not as Expected We booked a ”2-bedroom suite,” but it was actually two separate rooms with private entrances and no shared indoor area. The second room was extremely small; with two large suitcases open, there was almost no space to move. The photos on the listing were quite misleading regarding this separate layout. 3. Location & Accessibility The homestay is in a quiet, isolated area with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. You have to take a taxi for everything (5–30 mins to major attractions), which adds significant costs to your trip. ===＞ While the people here are wonderful, the high price doesn't quite match the room's convenience and location. Best suited for those who don't mind taking taxis and want a quiet stay.

I booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

First off, the hotel's location is incredible, right on Cang'er Avenue. From the road, you have the majestic Cangshan Mountains on one side and Erhai Lake on the other. The views are absolutely stunning! You don't need to rush for a good photo spot; just step out leisurely, and even backlit shots have an amazing vibe – any random spot on the roadside looks like a scene from a movie! Shared electric scooters are available right outside the hotel, and you can reach the South Gate of Dali Ancient City in just 10 minutes. Ride-sharing services make it super convenient to get to the Cangshan Cableway, the Erhai Lake shore, and Xizhou Ancient Town. 🌿 The hotel is newly opened, and the facilities are fantastic! The electric curtains, mini-bar, and smart toilet in the room are all super convenient to use. My favorite spot was the small balcony – just sitting there, enjoying the breeze, and relaxing was so blissful I didn't want to leave! 😃 🌿 The hotel breakfast is a buffet, and the spread of Chinese and Western options is incredibly rich. You can pile up on local 'erkuai' and rice noodles, plus there's fresh fruit and hot dishes. Eat your fill, then head out for more adventures! 🌊

I brought my mom to Dali for a trip and stumbled upon this hotel, Yunye Hotel, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The location is super convenient, not far from the ancient city, yet the environment is incredibly peaceful, like a little paradise with lush greenery all around. My mom couldn't stop raving about the room and the service – the bedding was comfortable, and the housekeeper was very attentive. She loved the rice noodles for breakfast and the afternoon tea, and there was even a sweet soup offered at night. Overall, it exceeded our expectations! We'll definitely be back next time and I've already recommended it to my friends.

We loved our stay here. This place feels like such a relaxing retreat, it’s so peaceful , especially with the rooms looking into the beautiful courtyard. Loved the plants and the decor of this place. The rooms are big ans comfortable and there’s even a projector! The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us with some travel arrangements we were trying to make. Would recommend this place! Wish I could spend more time here just to relax.

The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy.

We chose this hotel for our family trip with seniors and children, and it was absolutely the right choice! We were initially worried about the comfort of our accommodations, but we were extremely satisfied throughout the entire trip. Little Red Book (a popular Chinese social media platform) truly lived up to its reputation – this is a gem of a guesthouse! The location, facilities, cleanliness, environment, and views are all superb! The owner is a young man, and communication was effortless; we got along very well, and he even made tea for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with excellent facilities. The mahjong machine was particularly impressive. In Dali, it's sunny during the day and rainy at night, so staying in the room, enjoying the fruit provided by the front desk, and playing mahjong was incredibly pleasant. The scenery is also absolutely stunning, with views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! Highly recommended!

After a long search online, I finally settled on Dali Luchun Garden Hotel. It's incredibly convenient to get to, with taxis dropping you right at the entrance. The moment our car pulled up, a staff member immediately rushed out to help with our luggage and guide us to check-in. Hot tea and warm towels followed shortly, making us feel incredibly welcomed and at home! During our two-night stay, our personal concierge, Chu Yi, was fantastic. She brought us bedtime milk promptly every evening and provided helpful weather updates and tips each morning. She was always quick to respond to any requests. The breakfast selection was extensive and varied each day. The mushroom soup rice noodles were delicious and unique, and there was a wide array of fresh fruit, which was a lovely touch. I honestly can't recommend this place enough!
