"The hotel room looked very new and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly. Although the breakfast area was small, the food was good. The location is convenient, right across from the train station. The only downside was the lack of complimentary bottled water, and the tap water quality was concerning; I wouldn't even dare to drink it after boiling. Luckily, I had some mineral water left from the plane, otherwise I would have had to buy the hotel's overpriced water."

"Wonderful hotel with very friendly, helpful staff and good facilities. Check in was quick and straightforward. Room was perhaps a little dated in terms of decor, but beautifully clean and had everything I needed. Shower was amazing with instant, powerful hot water, handheld and rainfall heads and lovely soft towels. TV has Chromecast as well as international channels, so you can use your normal streaming services from your phone. WiFi was great and free, even in the lift. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the city, with food that tasted fresh and of good quality. The main tourist sites are some distance away, but the metro is just a few steps from the hotel entrance, and the streets around the hotel have everything you should need."

"Got a free upgrade to a bigger room, and breakfast was satisfying. They stored my luggage both before and after check-in, which was very convenient. The staff were warm and friendly, and the hotel is quite close to the Central Station. The soundproofing wasn't great, but overall, everything was fine. For reference, it cost around 800 (including breakfast) for the Easter holiday."

"🌟 A Modern Surprise (and a Few Gripes) After All the History After staying in charming century-old hotels in Rome, Florence, and Switzerland during this Italy-Switzerland trip, arriving at the Meliá Milano Garibaldi in Milan, with its modern style, was definitely a breath of fresh air. Overall, it was a very good experience, though there were a few minor details I hope they improve. 📍 Location: The hotel's location is super convenient. It really is only about an 8-minute walk from Milan Central Station, which is a big plus for travelers with luggage. We took a taxi to Chinatown, which cost around 13 euros. Getting to Milan Cathedral was also easy – just a few metro stops away, or a taxi for under 13 euros. The transportation cost covers the main sights very well. 🏨 Hotel Facilities: As other reviews mention, the hotel facilities are brand new. The room was clean, tidy, and very well-designed. Switching from those old historical hotels to this one, I immediately felt the convenience and comfort of modern amenities. However, a significant drawback was that the air conditioning's heating wasn't very effective; it felt a bit cold in the room at night. I hope the hotel can check and fix this soon. 🍳 Breakfast & Service: I have to praise the breakfast – the variety was incredible, satisfying both Chinese and Western palates. What's more, all the hotel staff were wonderful, warm, and polite. Whether it was the check-in reception or asking for information, they made me feel very comfortable. 📝 Summary: If you're looking for a modern, clean, and well-located hotel in Milan, this is definitely an excellent choice, especially if you're ready for a change after seeing so much classical European style. I just hope the hotel addresses the air conditioning issue, as a comfortable room temperature is fundamental for a good stay."

"The hygiene was okay, but it felt more like a 3-star hotel in China. The facilities are quite old and there's basically no service. The good thing is they have parking, even though it's a bit difficult to park, it's safe and costs 15 euros per night. In Milan, hotels rated 4 stars or above charge an additional city tax of 10 euros per person per day. The location is convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Metro Line 1, and there's a Carrefour supermarket downstairs. This was also the only hotel I stayed at in Italy that didn't provide free bottled water."

"It seems that small rooms are a common characteristic of hotels in Europe. As a standardized hotel, it's clear that this Ibis is quite old, though the management appears to be organized. First, the room was small, and second, the bathroom facilities, like the hairdryer, were extremely outdated. The staff's attention to detail was average. And no, there wasn't the legendary Italian 'smiling service' – they were rather aloof."

"Well... It's a great idea to create affordable, remotely controlled apartments by local standards, with good finishing and amenities. The finishing and amenities are good. But there's no response to any problems that arise. There's no internet (a cable issue) and it's been two full days since they've fixed it. Upon check-in, I barely received the code for the entrance, room, and parking (it's the same), but I couldn't enter the building or open the parking gate—nothing! It's impossible to contact the operator!!!!!! I barely made it into the building with random hotel residents and, through a housekeeping woman (also a random encounter), managed to get through to a live person from the administration. It was resolved in 15 minutes. My inquiries about the situation through the app were answered the next morning (!). One of the elevators broke down while we were there—nothing has been done for three days, and the future is also unclear. The company's website is very crude. I tried to extend my stay—I would have been better off moving somewhere else. Do I have to fill out all the forms and take photos of documents again? Why? And after emailing them through the app about the logic behind it, they said I didn't have to. There's no logic to it at all. I'm giving the service a 1 because I can't give it a 0. Otherwise, the rooms are good. The only downside is there's no clothes dryer and the lighting isn't optimal."

"This hotel is located right across from the central station, just past a small park. We stayed in a 'foot-on-the-ground' room, which had two 0.9m beds pushed together. This setup isn't ideal for couples or families who want to share a bed. The room itself was quite small but very clean. Check-in isn't until 3 PM, but they offer free luggage storage if you arrive early. There's a secure, code-locked room specifically for luggage, managed by dedicated staff. Be aware that city tax is charged per person, not per room, at 10 euros per person. For two of us, it was 20 euros. The room included a kettle and a capsule coffee machine, plus two complimentary bottles of water. Breakfast was excellent and very generous, with coffee, juice, cheese, vegetable salad, fruits, yogurt, and various hams. The front desk entrance is small, but the interior space is quite open. If you want a quiet stay, request a room not facing the street. Our room, 330, was still reasonably quiet. We booked this three months in advance for 1.6k RMB (including tax and breakfast) for June. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance. A special shout-out to the friendly black doormen who were very helpful with our luggage every time we entered and exited!"
