"Hygiene Score: Average. Some parts of the room showed signs of age and wear.
Location Score: It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the city center (lively area). The closest 7-Eleven is only a 2-3 minute walk away.
Service Score: The staff were all very friendly and met all requests.
Facilities Score: The swimming pool was cleaned daily, and the cafe area had a great atmosphere. I didn't use the gym or other facilities.
Other Notes: Each room provided an umbrella. The umbrella in my room clearly showed signs of heavy use (the frame was noticeably rusted) and had been repaired with tape. When I opened it on the second day, two of the ribs broke. After reporting it to the hotel, they requested 250P for compensation. Although it was stated upon check-in that damages would be charged, which I understand, the umbrella was clearly very old and well-used."

"They were nice, respectful, and helpful while we were still checked in but once we checked out, that hospitality completely disappeared. We got stranded in Boracay and had to check out right in the middle of a typhoon. Unfortunately, the staff refused to even lend my boyfriend an umbrella for a few minutes so we could safely get to our transport. To make things worse, I wasn’t feeling well and had started to develop a fever.
Let’s be honest, Hennan is not a budget hotel. You expect a certain level of service and compassion, even after you checked out especially in extreme weather conditions.
It was disappointing and frustrating to feel like the care and courtesy we received only applied while we were still paying guests. After checkout, it felt like we didn’t matter at all.
For the price you pay, I expected better treatment at the very least, a bit of kindness and understanding during such a difficult situation. Sadly, this experience left me feeling robbed and deeply disappointed."

When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"The hotel itself is clean and beautiful, and the service is good. However, the breakfast was very poor. There were long lines every day, very limited options, the same food was served daily, and it did not feel hygienic.
In addition, you constantly have to use a shuttle inside the hotel to move from one place to another. The shuttle rides take a long time because it keeps stopping to pick up and drop off people. It feels more like a truck than a comfortable hotel shuttle.
Overall, it was a very bad experience and we would never stay here again."

"Great Stay for Families – Warm Staff and Kid-Friendly Amenities
We had a wonderful time at Boracay Holiday Resort. The staff were warm and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was great—delicious and satisfying throughout our stay. Our child especially loved the pool, which was clean, fun, and perfect for kids.
There was a small hiccup with our original room, as we noticed some water seeping through from the room above. Thankfully, the staff were quick to respond and upgraded us to a better room without any hassle.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Boracay Holiday Resort to families traveling with kids. It’s a comfortable, friendly place to relax and enjoy Boracay."

"What a location! Sitting on our balcony looking at the white sand and turquoise water is what Boracay is all about. It’s on a peaceful section of beach so swimming in the ocean was always uncrowded and enjoyable. The hotel restaurant is good with plenty of options close by. DMall which is the restaurant and bar area of town is walkable or a cheap trike away."

"The room pillows have a bad smell and we ask to change it but still smell bad. The facilities are nice and location is convenient. Theres a lot of F&B options in pool bar but we were disappointed in the breakfast buffet it has very minimum food choices and it takes time for them to refill the food displays and plates and glasses in the buffet are not washed well, I thought it was just one day but our whole stay (5d4n) i noticed that it was not cleaned well"

"I had a great stay at The Tides Hotel Boracay. The location is one of its best features — right in the heart of D’Mall and just a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It’s very convenient for exploring and enjoying the island.
The staff were friendly, courteous, and always willing to assist. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The rooftop pool and bar were definite highlights — a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the view.
Breakfast was good, though it could have a bit more variety. Overall, it’s a modern, well-located hotel that offers good value for money. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next Boracay trip!"

Rooms are very spacious and spot clean. On-going maintenance of their spa which led us to do room-in massage.
Points for improvement:
Suggest to improve front desk communication as we had some concerns with the arranged activities.
i.e., massage are not room charged - we were asked to pay after the massage which shocked the group as it was NOT mentioned to us when we arranged the massage session. Good thing someone still have cash with them.
e-trike was not booked as requested (morning) so we had our tour in the afternoon; good thing we had a very flexible itinerary so it didn't affect any other plans.
Overall great stay! Will definitely book this hotel again in our next trip. Even recommended this to friends. 😉"

GGuest UserOur beach vacation this time was absolutely wonderful. The hotel's location is superb, directly facing the ocean. Just opening the balcony door reveals an endless sea view, and waking up to the sound of waves in the morning was incredibly relaxing.
The hotel's overall environment was spotless, and the grounds were beautifully landscaped, creating a relaxing resort atmosphere throughout. The pool area is very thoughtfully designed, featuring both an infinity pool and a children's pool, catering to all guests. Enjoying the sunset by the pool in the evening was particularly romantic.
Our room was spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was also excellent, ensuring a very quiet and peaceful stay. I especially loved the bathroom design, which is both modern and functional, allowing you to soak in the tub while enjoying the sea view.
For dining, the breakfast spread was extensive, offering fresh fruit, freshly prepared hot dishes, and local specialties, catering to all tastes. The hotel's seafood restaurant is highly recommended; the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the dishes were delicious.
The staff were friendly and incredibly responsive to our needs, making us feel completely at ease from check-in to check-out.
Overall, this is a perfect seaside hotel for a relaxing getaway, ideal for both couples and families looking to create beautiful memories. We would definitely return again!

GGuest UserWe had a great time staying at Mandarin Nest Boracay. Very good location - beachfront, very near D'mall, and there are fastfood below it. We loved the amenities, topped with the freebies and daily treats. Breakfast at Hakuna Matata is nice, as well as their cocktails. We get 20% discount on food items just because we were guests. The reception is always helpful - lending umbrellas, towels, and even packing us breakfast since we checked out early. They have a washing station at the front to help wash away sand - which is very helpful. They also have elevator and gym, something I have not seen on other Station 2 accommodations before. Will stay here again!

DDaniel123On my previous review, I mentioned some of the drawback regarding this hotel. On my recent stay, they have managed to turn things around and made my whole stay an enjoyable one. The staffs were proactive in asking if I need any assistance. The room is clean and spacious and they had more variety of foods for their buffet breakfast. I would most likely stay here again.

GGuest UserThe land transfer was smooth, but unfortunately, the check-in time took longer than promised. One of the front desk staff mentioned our room would be available by 1 PM, but it wasn’t until 2:30 PM that we could check into one room. We then had to wait another 30 minutes before the other room was ready. Additionally, the second room had an unpleasant “kulob” smell, unlike the first room. It’s disappointing that the check-in was the only issue, as everything else was fine.

GGuest UserUpon check-in, there was no welcome amenity whatsoever – no cocktails, no refreshing hand towels that others mentioned in their reviews. On top of that, the room lacked essentials like toothbrushes, coffee, and tea. The shower gel in the bathroom was almost empty.
The breakfast was terrible: if you didn't grab what you wanted fast enough, it was gone. Pineapples ran out and were replaced with watermelon; waffles ran out and were replaced with pancakes. Black coffee was free, but cappuccino cost extra, and you couldn't even order it (I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes, and no one paid attention).
Breakfast was extremely crowded, leading to chaos and no clean tables. You had to chase down staff just to get forks, spoons, and glasses.
After breakfast, we returned to our room to find toothbrushes had been placed there. So, they simply forgot them on the first day (we hadn't even mentioned it).
However, the beach, just a 5-minute walk away, was so magnificent that everything else felt minor.

Kk_fr_23We stayed in Movenpick for one whole week following the recommendation from a friend who stayed there twice already when she traveled to Boracay, and on the whole, we didn’t regret this choice either. We’ll share some positive things first, then negative. It was our first time to visit the island, and we knew that the White Beach area is always crowded, full of beggars and people offering you to go sailing or try out massage at their salon literally every five steps which is quite annoying. On the contrary, Movenpick is a quiet and secluded place where you can enjoy your vacations at the fullest. The prices in the resort restaurants are almost the same as in the White Beach cafes, maybe a little higher, but the food is way more delicious (we especially loved the dishes in Brezza). We didn’t expect it to be so good after reading some negative reviews on Ctrip, so it was a nice surprise. The breakfast was also amazing, with a variety of options and outstanding service (and they do have black coffee, so don’t trust those who mention that there is no coffee at the breakfast buffet). But what impressed us most was a very warm and friendly attitude of all staff to every single guest. They always approached us with a big smile, and after several days of staying, they could even remember our cocktail preferences at daily Happy Hour! Nice little sweet treats at Chocolate hour, live music from 6pm daily, plenty of space and activities offered at the resort - we loved it a lot. However, there are some tiny things you must know before booking. Half of the swimming pool might be closed for maintenance, which is totally understandable yet isn’t what you expect when choosing this hotel (neither it is convenient nor pleasant to see). Although the rooms are comfortable and clean, you can see they haven’t been renovated for a while (AC/fridge are quite noisy, some things like shower gel dispenser might get broken easily - but they can be replaced at once if you inform the hotel). Last, if you are unlucky with neighbours (especially if there’s a family with an infant in the room one floor above yours), then you might enjoy terrible noise all the day as the rooms are not soundproof. We couldn’t sleep for 2 nights, and only on the 3rd night we were offered a bigger room for sleeping overnight (but the AC was loud there, not to mention some weird sounds outside in the middle of the night - could be an electricity generator or something else - that woke us up and we had to move back to our main room with the hope that our neighbours were fast asleep). In a word, it is recommended to bring some earplugs and not hesitate to inform the receptionists about any problem you have at once and ask for an immediate solution.
Generally speaking, if we ever decide to return to Boracay for vacations, it’s highly likely we will choose Movenpick for the whole stay time again.

Our stay at Savoy Hotel in Newcoast Boracay was excellent from start to finish, and it genuinely stood out as one of the most family-friendly hotels we’ve experienced on the island.
From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel welcome and taken care of—especially as a family. Check-in was smooth, warm, and efficient, and there was a clear sense that the staff understood what families need: patience, clarity, and a little extra support when traveling with kids.
The family room was a big highlight. It was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, giving everyone enough room to relax without feeling cramped. After a full day out, it really felt like coming back to a proper space designed for rest and convenience.
Food was another strong point. The buffet offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were consistently good—varied, well-prepared, and satisfying. There was something for everyone, and the quality stayed steady across meals, which isn’t always the case in buffet setups.
The hotel facilities were also impressive and well-maintained, making it easy to enjoy our time without needing to constantly go elsewhere. Everything felt organized, clean, and guest-focused.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Special mention to Lance—always happy, highly supportive, and a huge help when it came to logistics and assistance. Whether it was coordinating details or simply making sure things ran smoothly, he was reliable and genuinely attentive. Maddie also deserves recognition for her excellent customer care in the restaurant—friendly, responsive, and consistently on top of things in a way that makes dining feel easy and pleasant.
We also appreciated how keen and supportive the security team was. Their presence added a reassuring sense of safety, and they were always helpful when we needed guidance or assistance.
Finally, the free drop-offs and pick-ups provided by the hotel were a great added benefit. It made getting around much easier and took away a lot of the typical hassle of transportation in Boracay.
In general, Savoy Hotel Newcoast Boracay delivered a comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable stay for our family. Great rooms, good food, excellent facilities, and standout service—highly recommended, especially for families looking for an stress-free and well-supported vacation.
