I stayed three nights in a partial ocean view room and four nights in an ocean view room. If the price difference isn't significant, definitely opt for the ocean view room – the experience is so much better (the partial ocean view room barely has any ocean view to speak of).
The room itself was decent, and the cleanliness was okay, but the towels had a strange smell.
The hotel's location is super convenient. The second floor connects directly to the Ala Moana shopping center, and there's a Don Quijote next door, making it very easy to shop and eat. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Waikiki, or a 30-minute walk. Personally, I prefer the nearby Ala Moana Beach, it's very chill.
Car rental parking is also convenient. Parking is charged from 1 PM, costing $41 for 24 hours.

The view is beautiful; the higher floors offer ocean views and allow you to open the windows, but you can't see the sunrise.
Across the street is the Alamoana Center, which has a food plant and delicious local poke.
You can use your daily tax payment at the Sera restaurant downstairs, so it's a good thing.
The rooms are far superior to the Hilton, but they lack the resort atmosphere.
However, there's always a very strong smell when you enter, but thankfully you can sleep with the windows open.
There's no parking, but there's free parking across the street, about a 15-minute walk.
In Hawaii, you're practically helpless without a car. Getting to Wakii Beach without a car is a real struggle. The hotel provides a free shuttle, but you'll have to walk back.
Nighttimes in the US aren't safe, even in Hawaii. So, choosing this hotel basically means missing out on sunsets and nighttime beach views unless you're really brave.

The hotel is located in a bustling area of downtown Honolulu, very close to commercial centers like Walmart and Macy's, just a 5-minute walk away. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the service attitude is quite good.

Hotel location is good, the service staff is warm, the room is quiet and clean. The room size is relatively large. The disadvantage is that it takes a little time to go to 🉐 for the first time to find the front desk. You need to find a hand-held elevator to go down to the basement floor to check in. Because the whole building is for commercial and residential use, the obvious kitchen taste in the corridor. The decoration is relatively old, if you drive, 🉐 go down from the garage to the first floor, and then transfer to the elevator to the room The hotel is well located, and the staff are very friendly. The higher floors are relatively quiet and clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. The only drawback is that it took some time to find the front desk on the first visit. You need to take the escalator down to the first basement floor to check in.As the building is a mixed-use commercial and residential one, there is a distinct smell of cooking in the corridors. The decoration is rather old-fashioned.If you drive, you have to go down to the ground floor from the garage and then take the elevator to your room.

Because I knew what I was expecting with the only room amenities being wifi and a fan, I was not disappointed. For future guests, this is a YMCA residence, not a hostel or motel.
The building is older but it’s easy to get around from your room to the front desk.
I actually preferred the no alcohol policy of the establishment because I’m in recovery (almost 6 years sober!).
Just be prepared for a humid, hot night with a fan to cool you down. The only AC that I was shown was in sort of a day room area which was always open.

Hotel location in the city, from the airport in the past, almost 44 knives, but public transportation is more convenient, if it is not a suitcase large bag on the bus will be questioned, it is recommended to bus.
The front desk is very welcoming and can provide effective information and help.
The room is clean, the space is large enough, and the facilities are quite new.
The room is soundproof and can hear the sound of the next door, but it is still within the scope of the permit.
The bed is comfortable to sleep.
It is worth mentioning that there is a restaurant on the first floor, which tastes good, the weight is sufficient, and the cost is a regular price. (The rate for suggested tip will be listed in the bill, and the guests choose it themselves)
There are 711 supermarkets around the hotel, which is convenient to buy transportation cards. If you don't want to have breakfast at the hotel, there are McDonald's and Maru Turtle noodles two steps across the street. In addition, the hotel is in the city center, there are many places to eat breakfast around, you can slowly find it yourself.
Some comments mentioned that there will be tramps near the hotel at night, which is true, but there are also general pedestrians and vehicles on the road at night. Of course, pedestrians and vehicles in the city are relatively rare at night, so keep general vigilance, don't be too late and shake outside. Seeing alone or two or three tramps avoid or keep their distance in advance, it is fine.
In short, this hotel is still worth recommending.
