"This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The convenience factor is off the charts, way beyond five stars! Right outside, there's an abundance of food and shops, truly bursting with local flavor. In the mornings, you'll see many people trading caterpillar fungus, often much cheaper than in stores. Evenings bring fresh vegetables and fruits, incredibly fresh, along with local snacks. You absolutely have to try the yogurt! Next door to the hotel is a very clean restaurant. The owner is super nice and will even give you extra noodles for your dish. Their pickled radish is especially delicious. The hotel owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. We booked a standard room, but he upgraded us to a family room – a really spacious one! He also told us about local customs and traditions, which was very kind. And there's a Labrador named Kara, she's absolutely adorable and very friendly!"

"Location is great, room is clean and spacious, shower is hot, endless water is provided, the room has everything necessary, even disposable towels, and all for a reasonable price. The staff is doing a great job running the hotel, they generously upgraded me to a beautiful large mountain-view room and held my luggage while I was touring Namucuo lake. Thanks!"

"Facilities: The room was very quiet and well-equipped with underfloor heating, air conditioning, heating, and a humidifier. The hot water in the bathroom was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower! Service: The breakfast spread was fantastic with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. The freshly ground coffee was particularly good! [Room Mini Bar ✔ Selected Glacier Water & Soft Drink Combo]: The room is stocked daily with Jia Duo Bao and Coke! Plus, unlimited mineral water! Cleanliness: The room was cleaned by staff every day! Leaving only makes the next reunion even better. I'll definitely choose Phuntsok Khangsang again on my next trip to Tibet. Tashi Delek!!!"

"Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!"

"The Tibetan-style homestay is antique and the overall style pays attention to details. The murals and small ornaments reflect the ******* style everywhere. I love it. There is also a small surprise, that is, there is Nepalese food. The chef 👨🏻🍳 is Nepalese. The special feeling is that every service staff is enthusiastic and greets actively. Especially when I go to have breakfast every day, the warm hospitality of the big-eyed waiter makes me feel the warmth of home. I like the happy mood brought by interacting with her."

"Our butler, Alan, provided excellent service. The hotel's location is generally good, and some room types even offer views of the Potala Palace. They provide complimentary fruit and yogurt, and there's a turndown service where they make the bed and arrange your shoes. The front desk staff are all very handsome and beautiful, and incredibly friendly. Breakfast was also fantastic. Very satisfied!"

"Looking at the decor, you can tell it must have been beautiful when it was first built, with distinct ******* characteristics. It basically has all the facilities and services a five-star hotel should offer. However, the problem is that after so many years, the facilities are just too old. The cabinet doors don't close properly, the seating cushions are heavily worn, the old-fashioned toilet is very difficult to use, and the glass is foggy – I'm not sure if it's dirty or just aged. I chose a room with a Potala Palace view, but the cloudy glass really spoiled the experience. There were even leftover toenails from previous guests on the carpet, which was quite disgusting. I also have to mention the mini-bar. There were only 6 cans of Coke and Sprite, with no price tags. I assumed they were complimentary, but when I asked, they were 18 yuan each. Seriously, I've stayed in many five-star hotels. If a mini-bar is going to charge, please at least stock it with sparkling water, orange juice, and beer (if not wine or sparkling wine) to look more professional. If you only have these few bottles, either be generous and offer them for free, or just remove them. The current approach feels a bit cheap. Overall, this hotel definitely needs a renovation."

"This was my first time in Lhasa, and when I was booking a hotel, I was immediately drawn to Fanlian's decor. The aromatherapy inside the hotel was very pleasant, and the interior design was exactly my style. Being welcomed with a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) and hot tea made me feel right at home instantly. The hotel offers many experiential activities like yoga, ******* incense making, and meditation. The room was very comfortable, equipped with a humidifier and diffused oxygen. The warm porridge provided nightly in a thermos was a lovely touch. I've already recommended it to friends planning a trip to Lhasa. Each room also comes with a dedicated butler who is attentive and meticulous, answering any questions promptly. This was a very satisfying stay."

Ambiance/Environment: Steeped in 400 years of history, this former Nepalese consulate beautifully preserves its heritage. The hotel showcases authentic ******* elements like ancient pillars and intricately carved windows, while the courtyard boasts a century-old tree, exuding an atmosphere rich with antique ******* charm. Its prime location next to Barkhor Street means the Jokhang Temple is just a 400-meter walk away, offering excellent convenience for exploration. The courtyard is bathed in abundant sunshine, providing a tranquil and inviting environment perfect for relaxation. Upon entry, guests are greeted by cultural exhibits, and the lobby and other public areas are tastefully decorated. The on-site Gesar Gyapo Museum further enriches the cultural ambiance of the hotel. Service: The front desk staff and security guards are exceptionally warm and attentive. Guests are welcomed with a traditional Hada upon arrival, assisted with luggage, and patiently guided on how to use the oxygen concentrator. Understanding the unique demands of high-altitude travel, the hotel provides thoughtful facilities and diverse dining options specifically catering to guests susceptible to altitude sickness, such as oxygen concentrators and a wide array of meal choices. "Tangka Hotel is directly across from the Jokhang Temple entrance, and there's a shopping mall downstairs! It has everything you need for dining, sightseeing, and shopping. We originally planned to try various hotels, but once we got here, we didn't want to leave. First, let's talk about breakfast. It was delicious. ******* food isn't always particularly suited to Han Chinese tastes, but this hotel's offerings were perfectly suited to our tastes, with some ******* touches. After a leisurely breakfast, we walked downstairs and arrived at the Jokhang Temple security checkpoint. From there, we could explore the surrounding Barkhor Street area! Now, let's talk about shopping. Downstairs, there's a shopping mall where you can buy everything you need, including local specialties. This street is the busiest of all. And how much further is a little further? There's Lhasa, a city that never sleeps. In Lhasa, you can enjoy a snack or a small bar in the evening. Let's talk about the main attractions. In fact, it doesn't take long to walk forward and you can see the night view of the Potala Palace, so it is very comfortable here, which is why we always choose here. There will be pick-up and drop-off services when you come and leave. The stay is also very comfortable and the environment is good. I will book again next time."
