"This is a newly built apartment hotel, and although it's close to the Sisu Village B&B we stayed at last time when visiting Changqiao Ocean Park, it offers significantly better value for money. Staying at Xinyu Hotel makes it very convenient to drive to Mount Putuo the next day. Breakfast can be eaten on-site or grabbed to go. The butler is very responsible; you can ask them about anything you need or how to plan your activities and dining, and their attitude is excellent. The duplex suite, Xinyu, is fantastic! It has a refrigerator, multiple bathrooms, a smart toilet, comfortable shower water, a very effective hairdryer, and central air conditioning. The sofa can even transform into a double bed, and with the unbeatable double balcony sea view, just staying at the hotel was incredibly pleasant and healing! My family all said the hotel exceeded their expectations, and we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit~"

"The hotel offered a complimentary travel photography session. The service was excellent, and the photos turned out beautifully, which I was very satisfied with. There were no hidden costs, and both the photographer and the young lady who assisted us were incredibly warm and welcoming. Overall, the experience was fantastic!
We received a complimentary upgrade to a Zen-style bathtub room. The room offered a pleasant ambiance and was spotlessly clean.
The guest building is separate from the front desk. While the front desk lobby was air-conditioned, the ground floor lobby and elevators of the guest building had no AC, making it uncomfortably hot. I had specifically paid extra for breakfast because I tend to wake up early and was concerned about potential crowds and queues on the island later. However, hotel breakfast started at 6:30 AM, and the restaurant would not open before then. With the first ferry departing at 6:20 AM, the timings clashed, so I couldn't have the hotel's breakfast and ended up eating out. Moreover, takeaway was not allowed for breakfast.
Complimentary disposable toiletries only included a toothbrush and slippers; combs, razors, cotton swabs, shower caps, and soap were all chargeable extras.
The parking voucher included 24 hours of free parking per night's stay, with an hourly charge of 8 RMB for any time exceeding that. The hotel is located approximately 800 meters from the ferry terminal."

The bedding is soft, the amenities are comprehensive, and the attention to detail demonstrates quality. The staff were enthusiastic, professional, and responsive. The butler-like service provided by the beautiful Xiaoyu was attentive and responsive, which was incredibly satisfying. The Chinese restaurant serves exquisite Cantonese cuisine, especially the local specialties, which were truly memorable. The real highlight is at night - from 7:00 to 7:30, the water curtain of the Aquarius tree in front of you pours down, the light and shadow flow, and the starry sky and the giant screen blend at this moment. ✨🌌An immersive movie viewing, privately enjoy the romance of the entire universe.
The hotel provides each room with a butler service. Butler Xiao Hu is very attentive, from the early reservation of pick-up to the reminder of various details of check-in. During the period, any needs were met and we tried our best to provide services in place, which made us feel warm! I like this family trip very much. I will stay a few more days next time to experience the Putuo joy brought by Baiyuan!

GGuest UserPutoshan is well off the foreigner travel path and information in English is limited. That the nearest train station is a few hours away in Ningbo only makes it more complicated. That’s why I was happy to find this homestay/hotel with its helpful English speaking owner “良筑”. I called and he added me on WeChat to give me advice and drop me pins (hint:the “south” bus station in Ningbo is adjacent to the train station, next to the taxi queue). He explained where the four main sightseeing spots on the island were and gave me advice about how to tackle them in a day. As for the hotel itself, perfectly fine: clean and comfortable and affordable. Only disadvantage is it’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the ferry building, about an hour walk. But it’s easy to catch taxis to the hotel and then 良筑 will drive you back to town (about 20 rmb each way). Also, immediately across the street is an enormous new Buddhist temple with a really beautiful interior that I would have missed seeing if I hadn’t stayed at this hotel. It needs at least an hour. The nearby town is small but has many seafood restaurants. All in all, if you’re a foreigner with limited Chinese ability hoping to visit Putoshan, then this is probably the right hotel for you as 良筑 will help you to plan and organize your visit. Plan to arrive by midday and stay for two nights. You can see it all in that time.

GGuest UserWe loved the customer service. Due to gale warning, we arrived a day early. The hotel got a shuttle service to and from Ferry/airport. We arrived late and the weather wasn't the greatest, but the owner were willing to drive us to get food and offer to pickup. After a long day of rushing from one island to another, we much needed a foot massage. Due to the bad weather, the owner was so nice to offer to drive us to a massage parlor and pick us up after. This is some excellent service you don't see often. The hotel doesn't have elevator, but it's not really an issue for us. The rooms were clean and neat. I could see the temple from my room. This place is in a community, but not far from alot of places. It's walking distance to rent a moped, If you could ride a moped, I 100% recommend it. You could use Wechat/Alipay to rent it. We rent it to ride everywhere. It's very safe. I would definitely book with them again and recommend this place to stay if you are planning to visit the island.

Someone from the hotel will take you to the pier, and the staff will also help upgrade the room type! There is also a small restaurant downstairs, and the hairtail fish is fresh and delicious!

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

GGuest UserGouqi Island in June is very beautiful. The most important thing for a family trip is to choose a very suitable hotel. I received a call from the landlady one day in advance and arranged a car to pick me up at the pier. It took about five or six minutes to get to the hotel. The landlady learned that two We were given a free upgrade to our room by both my parents and I was very pleased. The hotel has its own small beach and rocks. If you go there, be sure to bring anti-insect spray. It is fun, but the bites of midges are quite severe. Children should play there once or twice a day. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the hygiene is really good. It faces the sea. When you close the room door, you can hardly hear the sound of the waves, which does not affect your sleep. You can make reservations to order food at the hotel, which is very convenient. The food prices are not cheap, but they are reasonable. I have dinner at the hotel almost every day. The children all have CDs. The boss also gives drinks and makes dumplings by himself. It is a very good hotel. recommend!

MM263087****It's a long time away from the pier. Suzhai is near the door. It takes 15 minutes to Puji Temple. There are buses from Puji Temple station to any temple and scenic spot. After packing your luggage, you can check it and store it at the pier. It's really convenient.

GGuest UserService was good, from the helpful shuttle bus drivers to the prompt service of the technician-we had difficulty turning on the TV initially. However, we were confused about the shuttle bus stops stated by the hotel as there are designated hotel shuttle bus stops which are different from the different temples stops where only the public buses can go.
The breakfast spread was not big but adequate. The hotel room was comfortable although not big. I like the Zen design. The windows were open when we entered the hotel room, hence there were two flies in the room. We turned on the electric mosquito repellent. Luckily, they did not disturb us. The attendants should not open the windows when doing room cleaning lest insects go into the room. The island has many trees so there are insects-mosquitoes, flies etc around.
The room walls are thin though. I could hear the neighbouring rooms talking along the corridor and the room attendant coming by to their rescue saying he is the room attendant.
The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the sea, good for an evening walk.
Overall, the quality is good and the hotel room was comfortable. Definitely a hotel I could return to.
