They also thoughtfully assigned a good room location based on my request in the notes!! The location is also very convenient, close to the subway station. All the staff were very friendly, and their service attitude was excellent! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit!"

"An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm. A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!"

"What a find! This high-value sea-view hotel truly delivers. When traveling, choosing a sea-view room often comes with the fear of 'what you see isn't what you get' or poor value for money. However, this stay completely exceeded my expectations—for a mid-range price, I got the 'view + comfort + convenience' trifecta. Students, budget travelers, or anyone looking for a practical vacation, go for it! The location is truly impeccable. Just a 300-meter walk to the beach, and opening the window reveals an unobstructed, first-line sea view, with no awkward buildings or trees blocking the way. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, with the mountains (or coastline) framed perfectly with the sea. Even phone pictures look like wallpapers. What's more surprising are the surrounding amenities: a convenience store downstairs and direct transport to popular attractions, balancing the romance of the sea view with the convenience of a city walk. The room amenities far exceeded the price expectation: the 1.8-meter king-size bed was so soft, melting away all travel fatigue after just one night. The 180-degree panoramic window maximized the sea view, and all basic facilities were complete, including a wet/dry separation bathroom, free WiFi, and clean bedding. It was incredibly friendly for tourists staying for a few days, completely lacking the perfunctory feel of a budget hotel. I compared it with other hotels in the same area, and this one is at least 20% cheaper, but the view and comfort are not compromised in the slightest. It doesn't aim for luxurious decor but perfects the core needs of 'sea view, convenience, and a good night's sleep.' Every penny is well spent here. I will definitely choose this place again next time; it's the ultimate high-value sea-view room!"

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money."

"Went to Dalian with friends and checked out all the five-star hotels there. We finally settled on the Shangri-La and were very satisfied. We had booked two rooms beforehand because we wanted to see them before deciding which one to stay in. Yilia assisted us, explaining the differences between the rooms and showing them to us. We ultimately chose the Deluxe Twin Room, and all our requests were met. The floor was great, and the view was excellent. They even knew it was my birthday and decorated the room for me, sending a cake and red wine. A big thank you to the lovely Yilia! As for the hotel itself, as a well-established five-star hotel, the Shangri-La truly lives up to its reputation in terms of decor, facilities, location, and service – all five-star quality. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Dalian."

"I really like Kempinski. While we were still in Harbin, they called to ask about our needs and proactively offered us a complimentary upgrade to a VIP twin room. The room was huge, the bathroom was large (about 10 square meters, bright and airy with a window), and the wardrobe was spacious enough to fit large suitcases. The tea area was a separate space, offering privacy and comfort. There were plenty of surfaces to neatly organize various items, which was fantastic (a large bay window ledge, a shelf above the headboard, and various shelves around the TV). Additionally, they noticed we drink a lot of water and provided us with many bottles daily. All their services are excellent, the hotel environment is great, and the location is convenient for getting around. Our stay there was a very good experience. For dining and local specialties, Dalian Mall is just a 5-6 minute walk away. The first floor sells various snacks, freshly prepared cooked food, and local products. Before heading back to Shanghai, we went there to buy all sorts of local foods."

"Staying at the castle for Christmas was like stepping into a fairy tale! The giant Christmas tree in the lobby created an amazing atmosphere, and we even received some complimentary desserts upon check-in, which was a lovely touch. The sea view from our room was absolutely stunning, and there were cute Christmas decorations everywhere throughout the hotel. Even though it was peak season and quite busy, the staff were incredibly patient and attentive. All in all, it was a fantastic experience – definitely the top choice for Christmas accommodation in Dalian! Btw, our butler Dongxue was amazing, huge thanks!"
