"our flight arrived at 11pm, we booked shuttle service to pick us up from airport and driver came on time. Room is spacious, air-conditioner working, shower water pressure is high. Breakfast choices not bad, they have porridge, fried rice, dishes, noodle soup cook on spot, salad and western style of breakfast too.
The only part to improve is the utensils at the breakfast café needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. The fork is bit dirty, maybe because of less customer using fork. End up we have to use chopsticks instead."

"Very close to the metro station with extremely convenient transportation. As a newly opened hostel, the facilities are brand new and fully equipped, including available washing machines and dryers. The bathrooms and shower rooms feature a wet-and-dry separation design, which is fantastic. The only downside is that the provided slippers are hard to walk in; they tend to catch on the carpet and could easily cause a trip. Everything else is great."

Guest UserI highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel in Hangzhou. It's a must-stay! The subway station is right outside, with Lines 5 and 2 taking you directly to all the scenic spots. The front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were incredibly attentive and made me feel right at home from the moment I checked in. They offer coffee, pastries, and even a lovely 'goodnight porridge' – so thoughtful and welcoming!

Guest UserI've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

KalutelelidiyaThis hotel used to be an InterContinental (perhaps a benchmark in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region), but after the InterContinental brand pulled out, the owner operated it independently under the name 'Free InterContinental Palace'.
After the InterContinental de-branding, the hotel significantly increased its recreational activities, adding tennis courts, sound healing, and more.
Among the resort hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area, places like the Xihu State Guest House and Fuchun Resort are quite large, but this hotel's actual scale is even more astonishing. Besides the hotel's own area, the entire Xianshan Peninsula is essentially its public space: in early summer, there are bayberry orchards, and in autumn, the mountains are covered with tangerine trees. You can hike to the top of the back mountain (about 2-3 km), and there's a hidden small 'canyon' in the mountains. If you don't want to dine at the hotel, there's a 'farmhouse restaurant' next door (Xianshan Restaurant). A few hundred meters from the entrance is the lighthouse area, which used to be a pebble beach and has now been converted into a coffee shop/bar.
As for the hotel's own hardware, it's roughly on par with the international resort hotels in Yalong Bay around 2010-2012 (Qiandao Lake InterContinental/Hilton/Sheraton all opened around the same time). It's very well-maintained, old but not dilapidated. Compared to the minimalist, trendy new hotels of the past two years, hotels from this period have much more character.
Most people come to Qiandao Lake to escape the summer heat, but October-November is when Xianshan Peninsula is at its most beautiful. The tangerines are ripe, the lake water is exceptionally blue on crisp, clear days, and by November, a few ginkgo trees in the hotel turn golden.
This hotel also has some special advantages: for example, breakfast is served until 11 AM and includes a dedicated children's dining area. From 9 PM to 11 PM, there's a late-night canteen offering various snacks and instant noodles from all over the world (literally every type of noodle from everywhere!). The concierge team's service is also very attentive and prompt.
What can I say? Perfect weather, perfect hotel – 100 out of 10 points! 🥰

Guest UserThe service was truly excellent, absolutely impeccable. It's also very convenient for getting around; it's just a 50-meter walk from Exit D3 of Line 1.
Facilities: The room has everything you need, but it's not immediately obvious where things are. You really have to search for them. The bedside outlets are quite far away. The hairdryer outlet is on the side of the cabinet and requires a careful search, and the toiletries are wrapped in white canvas and placed inside the cabinet.

The room was very dark. While it's supposed to be for sustainable development, this level of darkness was really unnecessary. And why can't friends stay at this therapeutic hotel? I really don't understand why all the rooms are double rooms. Although they're all detached, they're much smaller than I expected, with practically no room to move around in the bedroom. In the dead of winter, the bedroom wasn't warm enough; with a heater, I was constantly tripping over it when getting up at night. The separate tea room was also unnecessary; it would have been better to convert it into another bedroom. My friend said the water was incredibly cold when showering.
Getting a taxi from the hotel was difficult. The hotel seemed to have one or two cars, but most of the time they were busy taking guests around... so there was no way to visit the nearby estates and reservoir. The hotel's activities were at fixed times, and if you couldn't join, you had to miss them.
Because we couldn't go out, we could only eat at the hotel. The food wasn't cheap, but the taste was really mediocre—just like homemade stir-fries with ready-made sauces, lacking any appeal in terms of color, aroma, or flavor.
I was drawn to the hotel because of its overall nice theme, but the price was really too high and it didn't achieve the goal of relaxing and healing at the hotel.

The room has a charming, antique feel with a distinctive incense aroma, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. There's even a calligraphy experience available in the room. The mattress is very comfortable, and everything is clean and hygienic, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was incredibly varied, and the pastries were particularly delicious. I also want to thank the hotel staff for providing me with an extra complimentary breakfast.

Asnafi NaderThe stay at this hotel led to both bad and good/expected experiences. To begin by the bad, the reception/checkin was terrible (I had to wait for a long time and was forced to ask them two times to check me in, the breakfast restaurant was chaotic (I had to go back and forward, left and right, to find what I wanted to eat and drink, and so was the situation for everybody else, a huge number people forced to do the same…) which did not give a good start for the day, the staff in the lobby were not willing to tell me where the nearest convenient store was located… And now to the good/expected. The location is great: a 2 minute walking distance to the West Lake, a large number of restaurants, shops, cafes, Kerry Center, etc. The rooms was clean and quite and the bed comfortable. The cleaning staff were nice and helpful and the checkout was fast and pleasant.

Guest UserThe location was out of the way for a lot of attractions and unfortunately, we visited during summer so it was too hot and humid to explore the area. When we arrived, it felt like we were the only guest in the resort, we did not get buffet breakfast, instead just a limited breakfast from the menu. It was only the following mornings where there were more guest and the buffet opened, which is understandable. What was disappointing was the pool was closed, we booked this hotel just for the pool as we were traveling with children who would enjoyed it. The daily fruits was a great touch though.

murderveraOverall, it was decent. My special-offer room was fine, but space was limited – no room for a suitcase, and even a backpack was a tight fit. Soundproofing was average for a hostel, neither good nor bad, and really depends on the other guests.
Facilities-wise, I'd rate them as upper-average among the hostels I've stayed in. There were generally enough sinks, showers, and squat toilets. However, most of the faucets in the wash area only had cold water. I finally found one with hot water, but it was scalding, and there was no temperature control, which was a bit disappointing. The drying area was also quite small, and the shower slippers provided were messy. I've stayed in other hostels where disinfected slippers were clearly separated and neatly arranged, so this wasn't ideal.
The mattress was a bit soft, okay for a night or two. On the plus side, it's very close to the subway – literally just a few steps from the station exit. Considering the location and the good ceiling height in the private room which didn't feel cramped, it's acceptable for a short stay.
