"I booked Building 8. The stairs are quite steep, so I wouldn't recommend the upper floors for older guests. The toilet quality wasn't great; even after several repairs, it often wouldn't flush and needed a power reset for some unknown reason. It wasn't fixed by the time I checked out after three days. The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Fushan Park, which is like the city's green lung! The breakfast was also good, with congee, preserved vegetable pancakes, cream puffs, meat buns, shrimp dumplings, noodles, and mini wontons – all very tasty. What deserves the most praise is the plate clearing service. The staff were friendly and prompt in clearing dishes, unlike some hotels where they push a noisy trash cart right next to the tables, which is quite unhygienic. The Shaoxing sweet soups are delicious; I ordered a Xiaoman (taro and red bean) to my room, and it was wonderfully relaxing. For the price, Shaoxing Hotel offers good value for money!"

"Recently, I spent 3 days and 2 nights in Shaoxing. On the afternoon of the 13th at 4:50 PM, I checked into the Wupeng Hotel at 40 Huancheng West Road (2-star, renovated and opened in 2025). On the morning of the 14th at 8:17 AM, I rebooked and went to Zhejiang Yue Hotel (3-star, renovated and opened in 2020) to complete the pre-check-in procedures. The two hotels are about 500 meters apart and similarly priced. Initially, I chose Wupeng Hotel because it was newly renovated and opened in 2025, and both were branded as ”hotels.” However, reality struck me hard. My different experiences at the two hotels and the WeChat chat records are enough to prove that choosing a hotel shouldn't solely depend on its opening time and promotional pictures. A standardized hotel like Zhejiang Yue offers richer substance and can provide guests with a more comfortable and pleasant vacation experience. Figures 1-10 show Wupeng Hotel, and Figures 11-20 show Zhejiang Yue Hotel. First, Zhejiang Yue, a standardized hotel, offers cozy comfort. The Wupeng 'Hotel' is actually a converted residential building, with its entrance inside a residential complex. The bathroom is within the bedroom, and the toilet door opens inwards, forcing guests to step into the shower to exit; breakfast offers two options: provided by the hotel or self-purchased, with the same varieties for each person. Zhejiang Yue Hotel is located in the historic and cultural street of Xixiao District, a complete hotel-style building, elegant and grand. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with full amenities. A buffet breakfast is provided, and late-night snacks are available in the evening (free of charge). Second, Zhejiang Yue Hotel offers excellent service, with instant replies and immediate assistance for any needs within a minute. The WeChat chat records clearly show the significant difference. On the afternoon of the 13th at 4:50 PM, I checked into Wupeng Hotel. I arrived at Shaoxing North Station at 8:52 AM, then went to Anchang Ancient Town for a 2-hour visit. During that time, I bought 3 catties of cured meat, 3 catties of Xiangfei nuts for 50 yuan, and 2 catties of soy-sauce-braised pork. After that, I took a bus to Keqiao Ancient Town. I was so tired that after checking in at 4:50 PM, I immediately collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep. What happened next made me feel that the service was extremely lacking. Chat records are available. Third, Zhejiang Yue's comfortable environment and thoughtful service are the most basic necessities for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation."

The bathroom features a thoughtful wet-dry separation, making washing up refreshing and convenient. Coupled with smart room controls and a smart toilet, every detail showcases quality and ease. Staying here isn't just about finding a place to rest; it's about embracing both the scenery and comfort. The entire experience is truly warm and delightful."

"Every staff member had an excellent service attitude. They decorated the room in advance for my child's birthday and were very responsive to all our requests. The facilities are well-equipped, clean, and hygienic, and the pool experience was great. It's also conveniently located near a subway station, making travel easy."

"There is something wrong with the layout of the room. The air outlet of the air conditioner blows towards the head of the bed, which makes my head hurt when I sleep. The hot water in the room responds slowly and it takes more than 20 minutes to slowly heat up. The concierge service is attentive, parking is very convenient, the surrounding business district is well-equipped, and it is convenient to the scenic spot, close but not noisy."

"When checking in, the front desk staff, Xiao Ge and Wen Qing, were incredibly polite and patient. They kindly informed us about the hotel's facilities and their locations. The check-in process was very quick; we got our room card with hardly any wait. The room was more spacious than expected, spotlessly clean, with no dust on the surfaces or floor. The bedding felt soft and had no strange odors. The bathroom had a convenient wet and dry separation, and the toiletries provided were comprehensive. Hot water was plentiful, and the water temperature remained stable during showers, so there was no long wait for it to heat up."

"On our road trip to Putuoshan, we decided to make a quick stop in Shaoxing and booked this hotel. It's a very new hotel and quite clean. Slippers and toothbrushes are provided, and they're of good quality. The hotel offers free underground parking, which also has charging stations, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. While the public facilities are small, they have everything you need, and the reading room on the first floor is a nice touch. For breakfast, they offer freshly cooked noodles, vermicelli, and wontons, along with porridge, bread, and buns. The variety isn't huge, but it's comprehensive. I'd also like to commend the hotel staff for their excellent service – they were enthusiastic and proactive. Overall, it's pretty good value for money!"

"This hotel was absolutely fantastic! I stayed here during the Shaoxing Marathon, and they were so thoughtful, allowing a late check-out until 2 PM. Breakfast on race day also started early at 5 AM, with absolutely no reduction in variety. Both the public areas and the rooms were exceptionally well-maintained, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly enthusiastic. On race day, since the marathon route passed right by the hotel entrance, my family told me that a large group of hotel staff formed a cheer squad outside to support the runners. I even got some refreshments provided by the hotel! In terms of transport, it's very close to the metro station, which meant I wasn't stranded on race day, and it was convenient for my family to move to other locations to wait and cheer. Overall, whether you're a tourist or an out-of-town runner participating in the marathon, I give this hotel a perfect score! I will definitely be back!"

"This hotel has a great design, and I booked it specifically for its red color scheme, which turned out to be perfect for photos. The mini-bar was complimentary for the first round, and I really enjoyed the hotel's unique beer. The bedding was very comfortable. My only minor complaints are that there's only one sink and no bathtub, despite the large bathroom. The ******* glacier spring water was excellent, please keep it up! There's also a balcony where you can open the door and enjoy fresh air, which is a big plus. The service was excellent; takeout could be delivered to the room, and staff proactively greeted guests. Overall, I'm satisfied and would recommend it to friends.👍"
