"Stepping into the lobby of Shaoxing Hotel, I finally understood what it means to find luxury 'hidden' in Jiangnan. It’s not the ostentatious, gilded kind, but rather white walls and dark tiles, winding paths leading to private courtyards, like a meticulously preserved Jiangnan garden. Passing through moon gates, circling around rockeries and ponds, Fushan Mountain is just a stone's throw away, with lush tree shadows stretching right to the windows. The front desk didn't hand me a room card, but a heavy brass key tied with a silk ribbon, feeling as if it could unlock the gates of some ancient mansion. The elevator walls were adorned with ink paintings, local masters' renditions of Shen Garden – the willow branches in the painting still drooped, as if you could hear the sighs of Lu You and Tang Wan. Suddenly, I realized that a five-star rating isn't displayed on a wall; it's hidden in the details – the weight of that brass key, the warmth of a handwritten note, the uncontainable pride in the tea master's eyes when talking about tea. The next morning, I was woken by birdsong. Pulling back the curtains, an old man was practicing Tai Chi in the courtyard, each movement slow, much like the pace of this city. Breakfast was at the buffet, and beyond the Western options, there was a dedicated Shaoxing snack station – freshly fried stinky tofu, freshly wrapped ai jiao dumplings, and freshly cooked Ciwu Dajian noodles. The chef, a local auntie, muttered as she cooked, “The broth needs to be ample, the noodles firm, and the toppings freshly stir-fried for the best aroma.” When leaving, the front desk asked if my stay was enjoyable. I said it was excellent. Even after driving a long way, I looked back and could still faintly see the white walls of Shaoxing Hotel standing amidst the tree shadows. It’s not flashy, not showy, just like this city – reserving its best for those willing to slow down."

"The room was a bit small, that's the only downside! Everything else was fantastic. The breakfast was great, and they even offered complimentary late-night snacks. The cleanliness and bedding were super comfortable. The security guard at the entrance and the front desk staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly, a much better experience than what I've had in Hangzhou! Plus, the hotel even has a QR code for feedback – the owner truly seems dedicated to their business!"

The courtyard is spacious, and the magnolia blossoms were beautiful – you could take great pictures anywhere. The room facilities are comprehensive, and the smart controls are very convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and had excellent natural light. The bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete, making our stay very relaxing. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and check-in was very quick. The transportation is convenient, with plenty of amenities nearby. It's excellent value for money and highly recommended for family trips!"

"This was my first time visiting the Shaoxing Dayu Kaiyuan Guantang Hotel, and I checked in with great curiosity. As soon as I arrived at the lobby, I was greeted by the warm and polite service of the ladies at the front desk. Check-in was quick, and they provided detailed information about all the hotel's facilities and services, patiently answering all my questions. During my stay, the customer service staff proactively inquired about my experience and needs, showing thoughtful attention that made me feel incredibly warm and comfortable. The hotel itself is a renovated ancient village, featuring small bridges over flowing water, a theater stage, long corridors, stone-paved streets, ancient trees and lush grass, and ancestral halls and courtyards... It perfectly preserves the traces of time, effortlessly evoking a sense of nostalgia and admiration. I absolutely loved everything about this place. The dining at Yujia Courtyard within the hotel was also remarkable. Basically, you can comfortably stay for several days without needing to leave the premises, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful life of a secluded paradise. I feel like I'll definitely be back!"

"When checking in, the front desk staff, Xiao Ge and Wen Qing, were incredibly polite and patient. They kindly informed us about the hotel's facilities and their locations. The check-in process was very quick; we got our room card with hardly any wait. The room was more spacious than expected, spotlessly clean, with no dust on the surfaces or floor. The bedding felt soft and had no strange odors. The bathroom had a convenient wet and dry separation, and the toiletries provided were comprehensive. Hot water was plentiful, and the water temperature remained stable during showers, so there was no long wait for it to heat up."

"Shaoxing city walk treasure homestay! Who lives and who boasts Who knows the family! Come to Shaoxing to play and dig a treasure! The location of this homestay is really outrageous! Cangqiao Straight Street and Lu Xun's hometown are five minutes walk away, and there is no need to squeeze the bus to catch the subway. I stayed for two nights and slept until I woke up naturally every day. I strolled to the attractions. The ink fragrance of the book's hometown, the simplicity of the eight-character bridge, and the fireworks of the west path are all measured by feet. This slow feeling is the meaning of travel! I was worried that the room facing the street would be noisy, but it was too quiet at night. I slept super solid for two nights. The next day, I was full of blood and resurrected and then went shopping! Really Amway to all college students who like city walk! Budget friendly, great location, close your eyes and rush it's over"

"The hotel's location is super convenient, right by Didang Lake with beautiful scenery – perfect for an early morning stroll. Parking is abundant, and there were plenty of available EV chargers, which is great for electric car owners. They have about 10 fast chargers, and they do charge an idle fee once your car is fully charged, which is fair. A nice detail in the room is the master switch by the bed; it's so handy to turn all the lights off with one click before sleeping. If you order takeout, a robot or a staff member will deliver it to your room, which is a cool touch. I stayed for two nights, and as it's an established InterContinental hotel, the staff were all very pleasant."

The front desk staff, especially the lovely lady who checked me in, was very enthusiastic and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. Rooms facing the main road can be a bit noisy, but closing the window helps a lot. It's also close to several local attractions. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. Just be aware that it can get very crowded when tour groups are present, so going a bit later is much better."
