"This guesthouse is perfectly located right in the heart of Hongcun Scenic Area, by Moon Pond – you step out and you're at the most beautiful spot! The hotel itself is quite unique, with an old-world exterior but a modern interior. The rooms are incredibly clean, and the owner is super welcoming and thoughtful. When we checked in, they met us at the village entrance, helped us with our luggage, and brought it all the way to our room. At checkout, they even helped us take it back to the entrance. I'd definitely go back if I have the chance. Highly recommended."

"The rooms are the same as in the pictures so I won't bother to post photos but let's start with the positives. The place is clean and it is located close to the south gate, which is very convenient when you arrive or call for a taxi. However our room was a duplex and having only one AC unit meant that the upper floor was warm and the bottom floor was ice cold. Additionally if you are a light sleeper you hear a lot from the nearby rooms. Avoid weekends in Hongcun and your experience will be far better!"

"This is an awesome elegant place with great location. We travelled from Singapore and booked 3 rooms, and everyone is very happy and impressed with the stay. Need to call (or weixin) in advance to arrange for a buggy transport into the village, helpful if you have heavy luggage! The service staff are friendly and approachable. They are thoughtful in providing tea souvenir when checking out. What mars the great experience was that on my return, realized to my horror that there is no tea in the Tea-box. So, carried a tea metal box across the ocean for nothing! Did not expect such a service slip for such a top-class hotel. Regardless, will still highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in the village."

"The hotel service was excellent. We drove there ourselves, and in the morning as we were about to set off, we received a call from the hotel asking about our travel plans, sending us the location, and reminding us to call when we were close. We ended up calling late and took a wrong turn, but they guided us back to the surface parking lot. We then waited for a staff member to pick us up. After buying tickets and entering the scenic area, we spotted the hotel right by the big Sophora tree, very easy to find. The hotel is located by the river, with a tranquil environment and a very clean courtyard, perfect for photos. The room was also spotlessly clean with no strange odors. There's an intelligent AI assistant in the room, which is very convenient. If I come to Hongcun again, I would definitely choose to stay here."

"The B&B is a seven or eight minute walk from Hongcun. I stayed there for two consecutive nights and went in and out of Hongcun and Xidi Village twice, which was very convenient. The B&B also provides free tea and fruit. The service attitude of the lady at the front desk was very good. She also gave me special Huangshan sesame cakes before leaving. The experience was very good. Parking is also very good, and you don’t have to wait for traffic jams. It is very sunny at noon, so you can rest in the hotel and go to see the night view of Hongcun at four or five o'clock. It is also very convenient."

"The location is great. It's in a quiet alley in the bustling street outside Hongcun Village. Diagonally across the road is the entrance to Hongcun. It's a great location.
It's not far from the bus transfer station. It takes less than ten minutes. Buses to Huangshan South Gate, Xidi and Nanping are very convenient.
Antique little yard, very cost-effective.
The boss also has a Wheatfield Coffee, which is a unique place where you can drink coffee and relax in the sun. The coffee shop also has a little stray dog that was taken in by the owner. His left eye is broken. I hope that the puppy will thrive under the loving care of the owner and the store staff. When I come next year, I hope the puppy will still be there❤️"

Customer service was prompt and patient, providing all necessary check-in information in advance. "Located beside the South Entrance to the village and facing the water-body (see photo of hotel with red banners). Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserThe stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there.
When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter.
Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

GGuest UserTraveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThis is the best hotel experience I have experienced in these years. I went to Huangshan and passed by Hongcun to find a B&B that I thought was pretty good. It turned out to be such a treasure! There were two young girls waiting enthusiastically in the parking lot. They took the initiative to upgrade the room type in the off-season. Surprisingly, the food in the hotel's own restaurant tasted so good. The yellow beef was roasted with cumin. When the window was opened in the morning, the mountain view on the room terrace was filled with smoke. The entire hotel Everywhere I see the hotel owner’s careful and arbitrary arrangements, I will inadvertently pass by some Go boards, swings, book bars, etc. The public area is much larger than the place where I live. We had breakfast outdoors, and the fields outside were filled with golden rice. Growing up in the countryside, I haven’t seen such plump millet for a long time. I still walk around the fields casually. It is said that if the season is right, I can take people to catch fireflies. This treasure hotel is definitely cheap and good. It is very suitable for friends, parents and children, or alone to relax and nourish the mind. , we also met the beautiful and natural proprietress who chatted with us a lot. The man in science and engineering has limited writing skills. We will definitely stay here again next time!

The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable that I fell asleep the moment I hit the pillow. The bathroom was also completely odor-free. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was lightning fast, and they even thoughtfully recommended some fun places to visit nearby. GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

2270057****Staying at Banyan Tree Huangshan met all my expectations. Stepping out onto the balcony, I was greeted by cascading mountain views. When the mist rolled in, it felt like I was living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. Our butler, Felix, provided excellent and attentive service. The breakfast was quite tasty; while the variety wasn't extensive, the dishes were well-prepared and refined. The hotel's Huizhou-style architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, creating a peaceful and healing atmosphere. Next time I visit Huangshan, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!
