"This hotel inside the hongcun village was great! They helped me with a ride from the entrance and back to the station even when I booked it very last minute the same day. The room was very comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities I needed. The location is amazing, just by the moon pond, very centric to everything inside the village. Definitely recommend this place to stay during your time in hongcun!"

"This Anhui-style courtyard is absolutely amazing! The butler offers pick-up and drop-off service, plus welcome fruits and a parting gift. The bedding and toiletries are high-end. It's definitely the top choice in Hongcun! It's quiet yet centrally located, very close to Moon Pond and South Lake by foot. With floor heating and smart bathroom fixtures, I slept soundly until the birds started chirping. The renovated old house has so much charm, and the garden and fish pond are perfect for photos. The breakfast is authentic Huizhou flavor, and the service attention to detail is outstanding. Dyson hairdryer, clean room with no strange smells, and excellent soundproofing – a truly worry-free stay. Free shuttle to the parking lot, and the owner is enthusiastic about sharing less-known routes. The parting gift was a delightful surprise. I will definitely be back!"

"When visiting Hongcun, I chose this guesthouse, and it was an excellent choice! Its location is superb, right by the Moon Pond, which is a core scenic spot. It's an old house with a lot of historical architectural elements preserved. My room was on the first floor and offered a lovely view of the small courtyard. The young couple who own the place were incredibly attentive. They explained everything clearly, helped with our luggage, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services at the bus station. For seniors, a day of sightseeing here is definitely enough, and we even caught the fish lantern performance in the evening."

"The hotel is located near the South Gate of Hongcun. Since we took a bus from Yixian East to Hongcun West Gate, we had to carry our luggage and enter the scenic area from outside. After contacting the front desk, a service attendant quickly came with a cart to pick us up and help us check in. It's a short walk from the West Gate to the South Gate, which is more suitable for self-driving as it has a parking lot. The hotel has Courtyard 1 and Courtyard 2, and we stayed in Courtyard 2. Our courtyard-view room was excellent; I've included a picture below for reference. I asked the staff, and they mentioned that the tatami rooms are in the old building, while the courtyard-view rooms are newly renovated, so I would definitely recommend the courtyard-view rooms. There's also a communal drying area in the courtyard where you can hang laundry. The rooms have heating, though it wasn't on when we stayed in late February. On rainy days, you'll need to turn on the warm air for sleeping."

Also don’t miss out on their restaurant, located in the back of their main office — great environment, delicious food. Overall, highly recommend; would return!"

"The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there.
When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter.
Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!"

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :)
Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!

Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. In general, he was very responsive and answered all our questions. We used WeChat for easy translation.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village,vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss.
The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean.
If i would come to Hongcun again, I will definitely choose the same hotel. It made our experience purely magical. While visiting the ancient buildings in the village, we were happy to come back to our room, which was as beautiful. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff and especially the owner!

GGuest UserTraveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!

The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰.
I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!

As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

✅The rooms in the main building were very convenient and had a great view, facing the countryside. They were very close to the restaurant and parking lot, so no shuttle was needed.
✅The room design was wonderful. It was spacious, had a great view, and had all the necessary features! The bathtub strap and bed rail were thoughtfully provided.
✅The best part was that you could rent an electric car. It was very convenient for visiting Guanlu Village, Nanping Village, and other places!
There were also activities, so be sure to check the official account. During National Day, you can go rice threshing!
⭕️They could have provided some children's washbasins. The washbasin is quite high, making it difficult for preschoolers to brush their teeth.
⭕️The restaurant could improve its cooking skills. 😂The service level could be improved, and the speed of clearing plates and other things could be improved.
❌The rural roads were extremely difficult to navigate, and the intersections with large vehicles were extremely dangerous. If you are not familiar with the road conditions or driving from other places, do not drive at night! !!!

CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

GGuest UserThe most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!
