The owner picked us up and dropped us off at the parking lot, and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel after checking out, allowing us to explore Hongcun without any hassle. The owner told us to wait for him at the parking lot when we were ready to leave. Seeing him arrive with several bags and our two suitcases made me think he was the coolest and kindest B&B owner ever! I'd give him 10086 thumbs up. Oh, and he even gave us a bottle of chrysanthemum tea."

"The guesthouse is right by South Lake. The shuttle service was prompt for arrivals and departures, making it easy to get in and out of the village. The environment is elegant and quiet, perfect for taking photos. It happened to be raining during our stay, and though we were on the ground floor with a small courtyard, it wasn't damp at all. The facilities are a bit dated, but the bedding was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom facilities were perfectly fine."

"Opted for this large Huizhou-style guesthouse in Hongcun, and it was a great choice. Its location is super convenient, right near the South Gate of Hongcun. As soon as I arrived, someone from the hotel came out to help with my luggage, which was fantastic service. They also helped me get oriented by explaining the hotel's location on a map of Hongcun and pointed out must-see spots. They didn't leave until I was completely settled in. Following their recommendation, I immediately went to see the evening Fish Lantern show and the enchanting Moon Pond scenery."

"I booked two nights, and the first night there was no hot water, so I couldn't shower. The temperature was also low. The front desk service was excellent; they not only handled the situation promptly but also helped me find a heater and adjusted the air conditioning. Parking is free in the parking lot opposite the hotel, but getting your car requires walking along a stone path and crossing a bridge—about 300 meters, which is inconvenient for guests with luggage. The room facilities were decent, but there were clearly not enough electrical outlets. The breakfast set menu was quite good. Overall, this is a guesthouse with excellent service."

"What an absolute pity...... that we only stayed for one night. It was a totally relaxing and perfect location for us to put our feet up after hiking for 3 days in HuangShan. We booked the detached grand suite which allowed us to have access to a whole traditional home with 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms had its own bathroom and toilet, heating... basically modern facilities and tastefully decorated. For me, it felt like staying in an old traditional home in one of the kung fu movies that I grew up watching. Not only did we have the whole house to ourselves, we had our own private garden (across from the house), where there is a swing, entertaining area and even a stove for us to light a fire. The couple owner are so lovely to deal with even before our stay began. They ensured that they are ready to greet us just outside the village at our arrival time. Please note that no taxis are allowed into the village and all visitors must purchase an entry ticket before entering the village. This can be purchased on Trip.com or at the entrance of the village. The owner lady was on hand to help us and showed us to our accommodation. She had even turned on all the heating in the rooms to ensure that we're nice and comfortable when we arrived. Map and points of interest were also provided for us. As we had to leave early in the morning (before sunrise), the owners happily arranged to have our luggage transported to outside the village where our taxi was waiting for us. It was such a pleasant and relaxing stay that, again, it is such a pity we couldn't have stayed longer. Definitely highly recommend staying at She De Yuan."
