"Hygiene: Overall, it was excellent and very clean. Environment: I have to say, having such a large courtyard inside Hongcun is truly impressive. The courtyard is very well-maintained, and my mom absolutely loved it, taking tons of photos there – it’s very photogenic (Picture 3 shows a corner of the courtyard). Facilities: The only thing that I feel needs improvement during this stay is the air conditioning in the room (only for the room I stayed in). We visited during the plum rain season, so it was a bit stuffy and humid. Turning the AC up made it a bit too cold, but turning it down didn't seem to do much, although it was functional. I suggest it might need some maintenance or repair. Service: The service here was absolutely top-notch! The pick-up and drop-off were very prompt, and it’s very close to the West Gate parking lot. I paid 20 RMB for 24 hours of parking at the West Gate. The driver, though a man of few words, was truly wonderful. When he took us to the parking lot, he even drove his electric scooter to help us buy bamboo shoots because my mom loved them, haggled for us in the local dialect, and helped us pick out four really good ones! I usually don't spend time reviewing hotels and restaurants, but I just had to leave a good review for this driver! Additionally, the B&B is incredibly close to Moon Pond, just a few minutes' walk away, and about five or six minutes to South Lake (I walk quite fast). It's perfect for getting up early to grab a good spot for photos, as it gets quite crowded even by 7 AM now. Staying here gives you a big advantage for early morning photo ops. There are B&Bs around South Lake too, but I personally think they might not be as quiet as this one. Secondly, for food, I had both of my meals at the B&B, and the food was excellent, especially the stinky tofu. I've been to Anhui several times, and I've never had good stinky tofu until I ate it here – it was the best I've ever tasted (though not cheap). While the price was a bit on the higher side, we (two people) finished everything, which is better than paying for food you only eat a few bites of and waste. The rice was also very well-made; my mom, who is quite picky about food, ate a good amount. Plus, the restaurant faces the courtyard, offering a nice view, and dining is quiet and comfortable. Finally, the hand soap and toiletries were all quite good; my mom even found the toothbrush so comfortable that she took it home! 😅 This is definitely a B&B I would recommend to my friends."

"This guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly, amazingly wonderful!!!! First, I have to praise the owner. He's such a great guy. He called us beforehand to ask when we'd arrive, then picked us up in his 'sanbengzi' (a three-wheeled vehicle – extra experience points!). He helped us with our luggage. The next day, I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to extend for two hours to rest, but the owner immediately told us not to worry and just to stay as long as we needed. When we left, his aunt helped with our bags, and he arranged a car for us. We were in such a rush that I dropped something, and he even mailed it back to me… In short, the service was exceptional!! ❤️ Next time, I hope to bring my family and stay for a few more days. The environment is also incredibly good! The courtyard is uniquely designed, like a mini classical garden, full of ancient charm. The room was very clean, and there's even a meditation area. I tried to imitate Liu Yifei's meditation pose, and I felt refreshed afterward, haha~ Hongcun is truly beautiful, and the people here are so warm and friendly. It's a shame we were short on time, but I look forward to coming back again!"

"This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and the most vivid experience of my life. I have never seen anything like it before. The feeling of living in the clouds brings you closer to God. After just two days of our stay, I felt like a completely different person. This has been one of the most powerful and memorable experiences of my life. The service and overall quality of the hotel are at the highest possible level. I am truly grateful for everything. We also celebrated a birthday there, and upon my request for fresh flowers, the hotel staff went above and beyond — they created a stunning handmade bouquet for my beloved instead. It was a beautiful surprise for her, and I deeply appreciate this thoughtful gesture. Top rating, the best hotel, and outstanding service. I highly recommend visiting this place."

"The public areas are particularly impressive. There's a dedicated movie viewing area, roasted sweet potatoes, a free Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) changing area, and a workspace. Breakfast is also available on the third-floor balcony. This breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. While the selection wasn't extensive, the taste was excellent. The soy milk was delicious, and they also offered freshly made wontons or bamboo shoot noodles. The third-floor terrace had a fantastic view; you could see the waters of Qishu Lake. During my stay, they even offered white fungus and pear soup. On the day we left, it was so crowded we couldn't get a taxi, and the owner personally took us to the station. Overall, the hotel's decor is aesthetically pleasing. The public areas are large and spacious, the rooms are clean, and the bedding is nice and comfortable. Our family room had a view of a bamboo forest, giving us a feeling of being close to nature. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or choose it again for my next stay."

"The room was spacious and clean! It's especially suitable for resting in Hongcun after climbing Huangshan. On the day I arrived, I just wanted to lie down and then did a ton of laundry. I was extremely satisfied with everything from the bed, toiletries, and laundry facilities to the breakfast. The service was also very thoughtful! It's within walking distance to Hongcun too, highly recommended ❤️"

"After descending Huangshan, I came to Hongcun to stay for one night. The proprietress contacted me in advance to inquire about the situation and helped me to arrange a carpooling. The driver said that this homestay is pretty good in this area. After checking in, I was not disappointed. The boss helped me carry my luggage into the room. The room was clean and bright, with welcome fruits and snacks. The toilet had a flush function, the toiletries were complete, the bedding was comfortable, and there was a bathrobe. The slippers are super thick, the same thickness as the ones I stayed in at a five-star resort hotel before! This is so thoughtful😊This time I specially booked a room with a bathtub. The price is very cost-effective with a bathtub. Taking a bath can effectively relieve fatigue. My boss heated up breakfast for me in the morning, which was light and nutritious. After I packed up and checked out, the boss sent me to the entrance of the scenic area. When I finished, I contacted the boss's wife and she brought my luggage to me and then took me to the bus station. The experience of staying here was very good. It can be seen that the boss and his wife run this homestay very carefully. If I have the opportunity to come here again in the future, I will choose your homestay. "Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

"Staying at Atour during my trip to Hongcun was such a breeze. First off, the location is unbeatable. It's right opposite the West Gate, just a few minutes' walk to Nanhu Lake, so you don't have to drag your luggage over cobbled streets. The bus station is right outside too, which is super convenient for getting to the high-speed rail station or Lucun village. The room was spotless, and both the mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable. As a member, I could even request a choice of 3 pillows to try, and I slept soundly until morning. The TV had screen casting, so watching shows in bed at night was a real treat. What I want to praise the most is the service. The young ladies at the front desk were incredibly thoughtful. They called in advance to ask about our arrival time and how we'd be getting there. When we arrived, they even gave us a handwritten guide with recommendations for good restaurants and the best times to take photos to avoid crowds. The breakfast included freshly cooked noodles with bamboo shoot and shredded pork topping, which was delicious. And if you arrive late, no worries – they offer complimentary late-night congee. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay with no complaints whatsoever. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit."
