"This guesthouse is located within a scenic area and is limited by its old building's renovation, so don't have overly high expectations. The owners are very welcoming and helpful, always ready to answer questions and fulfill requests. When they heard we needed to buy medicine, the owner even rode his electric scooter outside the scenic area to get it for us – many thanks!
Suggestion: On the day we checked in, the air conditioning was extremely cold. Adjusting it in the room wasn't responsive, and it got too cold 🥶, so we had no choice but to turn it off completely. I suggest checking and improving this."

"This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value."

"This hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the West Gate entrance of Hongcun. They also offer a shuttle service to the scenic area's parking lot (from which it's another 5-minute walk into the area). It's quiet and quite convenient. Compared to staying inside the scenic area where you'd have to drag your luggage over many stone paths, staying outside is much more practical.
The hotel itself has a very artistic and stylish design, with spacious and tasteful common areas.
P1 shows the breakfast area on the third floor. Breakfast is served as set meals (some items can be refilled).
We booked a large room with one 1.8m king bed and one 1.2m smaller bed (similar to a榻榻米 or Japanese-style floor mattress).
The hotel service is also great, very welcoming and helpful (they offer pick-up and drop-off from the bus station, though the bus station is actually right at the entrance of Hongcun scenic area anyway)."

"Had a fantastic stay! First off, the room was pretty soundproof, and the blackout curtains did their job perfectly, letting us sleep in until 8:30 AM. Plus, because of the rain, breakfast was thoughtfully extended until 11 AM, and they even offered a late-night congee service; you could get free congee at the dining hall after 9:30 PM, which was a real lifesaver on a rainy night. The front desk staff were all super attentive, friendly, and polite, and they even offered some helpful tips. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the West Gate of Hongcun Scenic Area, and you pass by lots of restaurants on the way, which is really convenient."

Facilities: The in-room facilities are all brand new and kept very clean and tidy. The owner maintains the courtyard beautifully.
Hygiene: Someone cleans and disinfects the rooms every day, which made me feel completely at ease during my stay.
Environment: When I first booked, I was quite concerned about false advertising – perhaps the environment wouldn't be good or the photos wouldn't match reality – so I only booked one night. However, upon arrival, I was wonderfully surprised! I immediately decided to extend my stay for a second night! It's a shame my travel plans were tight and I could only stay two nights; I truly wished I could have stayed longer! It's incredibly comfortable, and I hope to come back for a few days every year if I get the chance!
Service: The B&B is run by the owner couple themselves, creating a very comfortable and homely atmosphere. After parking at lot #7, the owner will come pick you up in a shuttle. They also have a quiet dog named 'Laifu'~~ The owner likely cooks as well, but unfortunately, I didn't get to try their food this time! I definitely want to taste their cooking on my next visit!
I forgot to take photos of the B&B 📷~~ So I can only post some pictures of Xidi Ancient Village, but staying here was truly wonderful~~

smilysunsunTachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!

Guest UserBring my mother to Hongcun for a trip 🧳, I love the service of Yinmo. It is very intimate. I specially arranged a quiet room in the middle, especially the delicious and fresh Anhui dishes. When I know that we have not eaten well, although after the meal, the boss also cooks in person. Let us order as needed, fried and cooked, and we will wait for us to come back for dinner in the evening to wipe out the fatigue of the journey. Yin Mo: The first is that the new building not only has breakfast (Hongcun is more suitable for hotels with breakfast) has an elevator 🛗 Convenient without climbing 👍 Also, it is very close to the entrance of the west gate of Hongcun, which is very convenient. Guest UserHighly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰.
I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!

Zhang Mansion is much more than just a hotel: it is an authentic experience inside an ancient traditional mansion, perfectly immersed in the historic atmosphere of Hongcun. It almost feels like being transported back in time, into the quiet and refined beauty of China from several centuries ago.
The interiors are full of charm, history, and character, and staying here allows you to experience the village in a much deeper way than a simple day visit. The atmosphere is calm, evocative, and almost cinematic.
A very sweet detail: the property’s cat and dog are genuinely lovely and add an even warmer, more memorable touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic, romantic, and timeless stay.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were very efficient. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around, and there's a convenience store right downstairs. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with both Western and Chinese options. The city night view from the window was stunning, and the soundproofing in the room was excellent too. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this is an absolutely fantastic choice. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in this city, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

GongchangmoxinThe hotel is on the edge of the South Lake. It is very convenient to go to the arch bridge in 1 minute. It is really beautiful to get up early in the morning to shoot the South Lake in the morning light. It takes only 5 minutes to get to the moon marsh and Chengzhitang. The hotel is elegantly furnished, the boss is very intimate, contact in advance, pick up the luggage at the south gate when you arrive, and send it back to the south gate after check-out. If it is not for the boss to pick up and drop off with a trailer, it is estimated that my suitcase will dance on the stone road until it is scrapped. Although the homestay does not include breakfast, there are several breakfast shops as soon as you go out, which is convenient. The room has a small courtyard and a bathtub, which is not light luxury. It's simply a luxury.

Hidden in the tranquil corner of Tachuan Ancient Village, the guesthouse boasts a quiet and elegant Hui-style courtyard. Opening the window reveals layers of white walls and black tiles against a backdrop of lush green mountains (especially picturesque in autumn with vibrant red leaves), and the evening breeze carries the fresh scent of nature. The rooms are impeccably clean and tidy, with complete and thoughtful amenities. The bedding is so soft it ensures a good night's sleep, the Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building is incredibly smooth, and parking is exceptionally convenient. The service is the biggest surprise! The receptionist was warm and attentive, responding instantly to any needs, making you feel right at home. The guesthouse's location is superb; you can walk to the heart of the Tachuan scenic area, and there are cafes and restaurants nearby, making it easy to find food and activities. Location: Xishu is close to the entrance of the scenic spot, but it is quiet in the mind. It is very quiet to sleep at night without noise!
Environment: Hui-style architecture, a lot of lush vegetation, a very unique courtyard, and a good environment!
Facilities: The room facilities are quite complete, there is an electronic toilet, a bathtub, and a disposable bathtub bag. It is very clean and tidy. The bed is moderately soft and comfortable, and there is a free costume experience!
Service: The boss is very enthusiastic. It happened to rain when we arrived at the parking lot outside the scenic spot on the day of check-in. The boss came to pick us up in the rain and sent special snacks to the hotel. It was delicious! He also took the initiative to help us upgrade to a large room, which was very considerate. It was a very pleasant and comfortable accommodation experience!

Facilities: Our family stayed in three rooms, all with underfloor heating. However, when there were a lot of people, one room's heating was unstable. The housekeeper did his best to help resolve the issue late at night.
Cleanliness: The house is a bit old, but the cleaning was good. The kitchen was also quite clean.
Environment: Located in the Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, the environment is excellent and the air is fresh.
Service: The hostess was very welcoming and upgraded us to a family room. The room was excellent. The housekeeper was also very helpful. New drivers should be cautious when entering the hotel, as the roads are narrow enough for one car only.
