You could easily spend a comfortable and peaceful day just relaxing in the courtyard with a cup of tea, without even needing to visit the sights. The cleanliness standards are on par with a five-star hotel, and they thoughtfully provide two types of slippers. The service is very attentive; they offer shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and are both welcoming and discreet. The front desk lady was especially kind, giving detailed directions."

"I am so lucky to stay at Qinglian Luxury Smart Hotel when I travel to Hongcun! From the moment I arrived at the village entrance, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the boss. He not only drove to pick me up, but also took the initiative to help carry my luggage. The room was a total surprise! The equipment is brand new, with smart toilets and electric curtains, giving it a full sense of technology; the lights and air conditioning can be controlled by voice, completely freeing your hands.
The supporting facilities are very complete. After climbing the mountain, you can soak in the super large bathtub and all the fatigue will disappear in an instant! The bedding is soft, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the sound insulation is also very good, so I can sleep peacefully every night.
The boss and his family are very down-to-earth. Not only did they patiently recommend tourist routes, they also lent us electric scooters for free so that we could travel around and take photos. "This hotel is super close to the South Gate, and the staff, especially the ladies, are incredibly warm and attentive. The room was very clean, and while the window faces the street, there's a bit of noise in the morning, but it's fine if you're heading out early anyway. The room gets good light too. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, which is great. The complimentary tremella soup was delicious and not too sweet. It's really convenient to be able to grab water from the dispenser right by the hotel entrance. The laundry room is on the first floor, which was perfect for washing all our clothes after hiking Huangshan in the summer. Breakfast is a set menu, but the portions are generous and the food is tasty. The hotel also provides contact info for electric scooter rentals, and you can pick up the scooter directly at the South Gate for a daily rental, which is super convenient for exploring nearby attractions."

"This hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the West Gate entrance of Hongcun. They also offer a shuttle service to the scenic area's parking lot (from which it's another 5-minute walk into the area). It's quiet and quite convenient. Compared to staying inside the scenic area where you'd have to drag your luggage over many stone paths, staying outside is much more practical.
The hotel itself has a very artistic and stylish design, with spacious and tasteful common areas.
P1 shows the breakfast area on the third floor. Breakfast is served as set meals (some items can be refilled).
We booked a large room with one 1.8m king bed and one 1.2m smaller bed (similar to a榻榻米 or Japanese-style floor mattress).
The hotel service is also great, very welcoming and helpful (they offer pick-up and drop-off from the bus station, though the bus station is actually right at the entrance of Hongcun scenic area anyway)."

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

"Highly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰.
I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!"

GGuest UserFor my 2-day, 1-night trip to Hongcun, I chose Xiyunpan Yue, which is perfectly situated in the core of Hongcun, right on the bank of Moon Pond. This hotel is right next to Moon Pond, so you can step out and enjoy its beauty at any time. I found myself coming out every hour because the scenery changed continuously with the different times of day and weather.
During my two days in Hongcun, I was lucky enough to have fantastic weather – clear blue skies, white clouds, and stunning reflections on the lake. Everything was so beautiful, and every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. So, a tip for everyone: be sure to check the weather forecast before you go.
Hongcun's scenery is gorgeous, and the hotel was excellent; everything was just perfect. The hotel staff even arranged pick-up and drop-off at the West Gate, so you can book with confidence!

The guesthouse boasts a prime location, just a short walk from the south gate, making it incredibly convenient. Although situated within Hongcun, it offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle; at night, the only sounds are the chirping of frogs and insects.
The rooms are spacious, bright, spotless, and equipped with modern amenities for comfort and convenience. The housekeepers are also incredibly attentive and helpful, assisting with luggage at the entrance, taking photos, and readily fulfilling any requests.
This guesthouse truly represents a perfect blend of historical culture and modern comfort, exceeding expectations. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserIt's really hard not to love living spaces like this, especially the tatami standard room we booked. It perfectly aligns with the aesthetics and needs of today's young people. Once you're in, you just don't want to leave – it's so comfortable it's intoxicating!
There's no complicated or superfluous design; the entire tatami room is warm and healing. Whether you're snuggling on the soft cushions or lying flat, it's incredibly relaxing. For us young people, the happiest thing in our free time is comfortably lying on the tatami playing with our phones. No need to adjust to the sofa's angle, no need to worry about posture – just be as lazy as you like. Your whole body is in its most relaxed state, and a day's fatigue instantly disappears. This kind of spontaneous joy is truly amazing!
Not only is the living experience top-notch, but the smart features in the room truly impressed me. The voice-controlled design throughout is incredibly convenient, completely freeing your hands. No need to get up to turn lights on/off, open/close curtains, or adjust devices – a simple word does it all. It’s full of technology yet convenient, providing a truly futuristic living experience. I told the manager in advance what I wanted to eat, and we ate right away. The food was all bought by the aunties at the manor that morning—fresh and delicious. The rooms are still in the same style, with a classic, antique charm. During the day, I strolled around the village, and in the evening, I went back to the manor to eat, drink, and sleep, relieving the fatigue of work.

This meant our stay was quiet for restful night, while we could still get to enjoy the spots in peace before day trip tourists flock in.:) Host provided free buggy shuttle from the main South gate to his homestay.
As it was off peak season, we had free room upgrade & I got a large triple sharing room with spacious bathroom. Love that the floor is heated so we could stay warm throughout. The only grouse is I find the room lighting a bit too dim, but maybe they just wanted to evoke romantic ambience. 😁
Overall, it was a great stay in this ancient village.

Location: Xishu is close to the entrance of the scenic spot, but it is quiet in the mind. It is very quiet to sleep at night without noise!
Environment: Hui-style architecture, a lot of lush vegetation, a very unique courtyard, and a good environment!
Facilities: The room facilities are quite complete, there is an electronic toilet, a bathtub, and a disposable bathtub bag. It is very clean and tidy. The bed is moderately soft and comfortable, and there is a free costume experience!
Service: The boss is very enthusiastic. It happened to rain when we arrived at the parking lot outside the scenic spot on the day of check-in. The boss came to pick us up in the rain and sent special snacks to the hotel. It was delicious! He also took the initiative to help us upgrade to a large room, which was very considerate. It was a very pleasant and comfortable accommodation experience!

GGuest UserThis accommodation experience was superb. The hotel bedding was very comfortable, made of cotton and linen. The Xiaoai classmate in the room was very convenient. Christmas was coming soon, and the hotel entrance also had a large and beautiful Christmas tree. There were also special singing bowls for sleep therapy. The teacher was very professional and I fell asleep in a short while. It was very comfortable. I lamented that I didn’t get enough sleep because the time was too short. The teacher also answered my question while drinking tea. Falling asleep for the first time showed that the effect was great and my own energy was high.

CCaotianbaochenjinjinjinFacilities: Our family stayed in three rooms, all with underfloor heating. However, when there were a lot of people, one room's heating was unstable. The housekeeper did his best to help resolve the issue late at night.
Cleanliness: The house is a bit old, but the cleaning was good. The kitchen was also quite clean.
Environment: Located in the Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, the environment is excellent and the air is fresh.
Service: The hostess was very welcoming and upgraded us to a family room. The room was excellent. The housekeeper was also very helpful. New drivers should be cautious when entering the hotel, as the roads are narrow enough for one car only.
