"The hotel was perfect from the friendly reception staff on arrival to the breakfast the following morning. The room was immaculate, not new and sparkly, but tastefully decorated with quality well maintained equipment, fittings and furnishings. All the basics, bed, shower, toilet and basin worked and performed superbly. Bedding, covers, sheets and pillows were pristine, crisp, and the mattress was exceedingly comfortable. Plenty of hanging space, iron and board, hairdryer and fridge. Spotlessly clean. Service for breakfast was unusually efficient for a large hotel. They knew exactly how to cope with a busy breakfast service. Buffet for drinks and cold items, service for Cooked. The full scottish breakfast kept me going all day. Will definitely return to this hotel."

"This is my 3rd stay at argyll hotel and the rooms are still comfortable and clean, and have friendly helpful staff, especially breakfast service! Even though most of the buffet was gone around 9-9.30, with a lot of people coming in, they were very attentive and going as fast as they could to bring more food out for the guests. So we'll done to the kitchen and waiting staff! And as usual a lovely breakfast 😊 Will be back again 👌"

"Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott near the SEC/Ovo Hydro for a gig and it was ideal. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable — exactly what you want after a late night. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, and we had food at the bar in the evening which was also spot on. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you're going to a show at the Hydro or Armadillo — it's basically a 5-minute walk so no hassle getting back after the event. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Glasgow for a concert."

"I really enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get around on foot or by transport. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the overall experience very pleasant. One small area for improvement would be the in-room amenities. It would have been convenient to have items like a luggage scale or even a bathroom scale available, which are often handy for travelers. Overall, the combination of great location, professional staff, and comfortable facilities makes this a solid choice for a stay in Glasgow."

"The hotel and the room is good n the location is kind of convenient but there is no indication for the shortest route there. Actually the kitchen food there was really good, however, it is not available after 20:00. Therefore, I had to go outside again for food after a long day for sightseeing. Therefore, I suggest the hotel can think about prolonging the kitchen time to let more people enjoy their food."

"Didnt quote understand the idea of not giving two keys to a couple and then having it back whenever leaving. They even took my card details on arrival, which is fine. There was no label to hang on the door to prevent them from cleaning. The next morning when we came back from a quick tour, toilets towels looked changed. That felt kind of sneaky. We should have been told what to expect. And the mirrors position were quite odd in the toilet and the room. The staff was lovely and the location was useful tho. I loved the fried egg breakfast! Ohh and the kettle needed cleaning!"

"Absolutely loved the fact we could include our dog with us, staff were friendly and hotel was very clean, given plenty of clean towels and shower was nice and hot wish the water pressure was better but not really a complaint just a preference but couldn’t recommend here enough so much around the area to do without travelling out and easy to get too"

"My Glasgow trip was amazing. I had originally planned to stay an extra night in Edinburgh, but my travel companions mentioned the Edinburgh Marathon, which meant rooms were virtually impossible to find, with even hostels charging upwards of 1700. So I arrived in Glasgow earlier than anticipated. On a rainy day, I initially overshot the hotel and ended up at an Express hotel. The very friendly lady at their front desk kindly directed me back to the correct location. After settling in, I had a deep sleep. The next morning, my power bank was fully charged, but my phone wouldn't turn on. I then realized my charging cable had broken at the worst possible moment – I was stunned! Fortunately, the staff member on duty at the front desk helped me charge my phone and even directed me to the nearest Apple store. It was also lucky that the hotel is very close to the central pedestrian street and square. Thanks Paul for the power line help! The hotel's location is truly excellent. While it's a few blocks from Central Station, the immediate area is flat and central – a significant plus, as I later discovered other parts of the city, like the university and station areas, involve steep uphill walks, which would be tough with luggage. Various theatres, concert halls, and cinemas are right next door. Buchanan Bus Station is just across the road, and next to it is a Sainsbury's (a very convenient supermarket). During my stay, many children participating in a dance competition at the concert hall were also staying here. The surrounding area offers incredibly convenient options for dining and shopping. My room was an economy type, not huge, but comfortable enough. The window faced a gallery apartment and a concert hall across the street. While the soundproofing might not have been the best, I was so exhausted I fell asleep instantly. Glasgow's weather cycled through heavy rain, light showers, and sunshine multiple times a day. While some people might brave it, an umbrella is definitely useful here. In the city center, it's not too windy for an umbrella, and the downpours always arrive very suddenly. Even though locals seemed quite used to the heavy rain and unfazed, it was nice that when the sun did appear, you dried off quickly."
