"This hotel is really great. It's about 300 meters from the subway station. To the left of the hotel, about 300-400 meters away, is the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters – super convenient if you're a Conan fan and want to visit! A little further on is Osaka Castle Park, which is a lovely walk. The room was clean and not small; two 26-inch suitcases could lie flat. The front desk staff spoke English, were very patient, and communication was seamless. It seems to be a church-affiliated hotel, as many Europeans and Americans were staying there. They even have complimentary samples like facial cleanser and face cream at the front desk, which is a nice touch."

"Clean and good location. It's my first time in Osaka. Mostly I just walk to most of the tourist spots. There are multiple train stations within walking distance. Also, the best is that, the limousine bus from the airport does make a stop nearby this hotel. The room is spacious. Multiple convenience stores around. The 7 Eleven is just right next to the hotel. Awesome. Highly recommend."

"Good hotel with spa with mediocre services.
The room was neat, clean and feeling new.
However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings.
Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day.
Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.
Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time.
The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner.
The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! All the staff were so enthusiastic and genuinely warm. The room was the largest we had during our entire trip to Japan. While the furnishings felt a bit dated, they were exceptionally well-maintained, and there wasn't that old room smell; it was very clean. The breakfast was generally good.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to Sapporo Station, the airport limousine bus stop is right outside, and there's a Lawson convenience store just across the street. This will definitely be our top choice for our next visit to Sapporo."

"The location of the hotel is pretty convenient. 5–6 minutes walk to Hommachi St., which you can easily use to travel to Kyoto, Kobe, etc.
The check-in and check-out were really fast, and we had an upgrade, which was worth the price. I had read the previous reviews about the rudeness of the staff, which is not actually due to this, but it’s the language barrier that could make a tired traveller a little less patient.
If you wish to ask something more specific, please don’t be afraid to use the Google Translate app to help you with the communication. The staff have been really helpful to all of our enquiries.
Some remarks were about the hotel lobby being on the 15th floor, but they have a dedicated entrance for taxis or cars to reach the hotel.
Bonus: if you exit through KoKuMiN Osaka Metro
Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 4) on your right is a local grocery store that sells local produce and other fruits/food products. It's cheaper to go here to buy your drinks and fruits, etc."

I had 2 big luggage, 2 medium and 2 cabin all opened on the floor. Lawson conveniently located on Level 2 and link to Rinku outlet mall also neaby. Trial 24-h supermarket just a 5 min walk away. Best ending to my Japan holiday."

"The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with convenient transportation; there are 3 subway stations within 1 km. However, I did notice some discrimination against Chinese guests, especially from the breakfast restaurant staff. Their service attitude clearly differed between Chinese guests and Caucasians. While it might not bother everyone, it was noticeable. Overall, this hotel is still worth staying at. The room cleaning was also very good and timely."

"The service was excellent, especially from the Chinese-speaking staff! They were enthusiastic, proactive, and full of energy, which made our trip much more convenient. The hotel's location is superb, with a subway station directly on the B2 level and Daimaru department store right across the street. Shinsaibashi is just behind Daimaru. Cleanliness is absolutely no concern, and the toiletries are La Mer. The buffet breakfast offers both Western and Japanese options. We chose Western both days, and the restaurant staff promptly accommodated our request to sit by the window. The pastries at Nikko's breakfast are delicious; I highly recommend trying them and not being afraid of the sweetness – it's likely the rich flavor from Hokkaido milk, which I really enjoyed. Overall, I think staying at Hotel Nikko in Osaka is great in every aspect."

You can also catch direct trains to the airport and Kyoto from Umeda, and Universal Studios Japan is easily accessible via the Osaka Loop Line. Overall, it's a very convenient place for tourists to stay."

The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

XXiemimiThe hotel view is absolutely fantastic, offering a great cityscape of Osaka. From the better room types, you get a direct view of a large area of Umeda, including the train station. The decor is European style, though it feels a bit 'knock-off' – like a fake European imitation. The details don't hold up under close inspection, and the cleanliness is noticeably not as good as in Tokyo. They're very generous with amenities, providing a lot. Breakfast is à la carte, suitable for those who enjoy Western breakfast; I found it pretty good, and the bread was quite tasty. There was a musty smell in the room, so overall, it didn't feel very high-end. The bedding was also quite ordinary. Its strengths are definitely the view and the value for money.

CChun Wei TangThis is easily one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan! We stayed for three nights and the location is unbeatable, literally steps from the train station and a 1-minute walk to Universal Studios. It is on the Universal City Walk street where you can find handful of restaurants and some shopping, Lawson is just next door.
The room was spacious for Japan standards, very clean, and well-maintained. Receptionist is super friendly and trying her best to explain everything for us.
We loved the daily free coffee vouchers, though keep in mind they are only valid from 2 PM onwards. Also, the rooftop onsen costs an extra 2,150 yen, but it’s worth it! It includes a free beer or ice cream at the lounge afterward, which has an incredible view. Highly recommended!

KkindaleiThe location is superb! It's right opposite Grand Front Plaza, which has many unique shops. The iconic Hankyu department store is also nearby. Umeda Station and Osaka Station are both within a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of dining options around. The breakfast at the cafe next to the lobby was also great and very good value for money.
The hotel's front desk staff were all very pleasant, except for one Chinese staff member. I asked her to help me call and book a restaurant, but she insisted on speaking English to me, even though her English wasn't very good. First, she said I couldn't use the front desk phone for external calls and had to use my own mobile. When I agreed, she then went on and on, basically saying I absolutely needed a Japanese phone number for her to make the reservation. Her attitude was quite aggressive, even worse than the Japanese staff. I just turned around and booked it myself online… Thumbs down.

AAnonymous UserThis was the best family-friendly hotel for our trip to Japan. The room wasn't huge, but it was relatively new and very clean. They even put a step stool in front of the bathroom sink for kids and had a baby crib ready, which shows great attention to detail.
The breakfast was also good. Even though it was Golden Week and the hotel was packed, breakfast service was well-organized. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, and the waffles and rice were tasty too!
The location is key – it's excellent. Right outside, you're on the Universal Studios Japan promenade, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the park entrance.

Ggtln1069I used to stay at the old Keihan Tenmabashi hotel every time, but this time I tried the Tenmabashi Station Front store. A 21-square-meter room is considered quite spacious in Japan. The separate wet and dry areas, along with a door to the bedroom, make it super convenient. The location is also a major plus, making it easy to get to Kyoto, and there's a shopping mall across the street. Everything you need for food, accommodation, and transportation is right there.

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserIt is just opposite Bentencho Station, just across the street, and the transportation is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to get to Universal by subway. Tips: When transferring, you can get off directly on the opposite side and transfer, which is very convenient, and their train schedules are well matched, so you don't have to wait for the train. There are two 711s downstairs, a life 350m away, and a Don Quijote 900m away. You can also take the subway to Osaka Station for shopping, which is also very convenient!
The hotel's breakfast is free for guests! No need to spend extra money, don't book the one with breakfast!
The room has a bathtub, and there are free bath salts on the first floor.
I saw a comment about the problem of storing luggage for money, because we left in the morning, so we didn't store it. However, all subway stations have storage machines (charged), you can pay attention to it.

SStrawberry08I recently visited the Osaka Kuchu Teien Observatory, and it was amazing. The 360-degree views from the 39th floor are stunning, especially on clear days when you can see all the way to Awaji Island. The unique design of the Umeda Sky Building, including the glass-enclosed escalator, makes the visit exciting. There are plenty of seating areas and cafes to relax and enjoy the view. The displays are informative and add to the experience. The admission fee is a bit high, and it can get crowded, so it’s best to go on weekdays or early in the morning. Overall, it’s a must-visit for incredible views of Osaka.
