I was so impressed with the location. It's absolutely perfect for exploring Osaka, as it is just steps away from the heart of Dotonbori and surrounded by major shopping areas. Being able to step out and immediately be in the middle of the action—from famous food stalls to department stores—made the entire trip so convenient.
Furthermore, the hotel itself was wonderfully clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and the room provided a comfortable and quiet retreat after busy days of sightseeing."

"Traveling with kids, we booked a family room, which was essentially two standard rooms connected by a door. This made it super convenient for the kids to run between rooms and play, while the adults still had their own private space without disturbing each other. The rooms weren't overly spacious but were well-arranged and kept spotlessly clean. It was easy to get around from the hotel, and we had a very comfortable stay. A small point to note is that there's a step up to the bathroom, so kids need to be careful not to trip. Overall, the value for money was excellent."

"The surrounding office area is very quiet at night. The nearby subway stations are all about a ten to fifteen-minute walk away. The hotel's environment, hygiene, and facilities are all excellent. A big plus is that there's a guy at the front desk who speaks Chinese! The only downside is that the air conditioning is a bit noisy, but everything else is great. The lobby has a luggage weighing scale and a currency exchange machine. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I visit. The room is cleaned after check-out."

"I always stay at this hotel whenever I'm in town, but the room I got this time, 313, was way too noisy. It's right by the main road, and the windows don't do a good job of soundproofing. I heard cars all night, plus motorcycles revving their engines. Everyone should avoid this room, and I imagine the ones next to it are just as loud."

"Location is convenient but requires 5 to 10 mins walk to nearest train station. It's in a business neighbourhood so not many late night food options available around but its a nice quiet place to go back to after a day out at bustling umeda or namba. Hotel room was really spacious, nicely done up and comfortable; I wish I had one more night here. Service staff at the lobby were all friendly and they very graciously gave me an early check-in when there was a room available. Highly recommended!"

"I highly recommend this hotel. The price is reasonable and the location is excellent, right in Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori, within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel has a modern style, and the room size isn't too small – there's enough space to open a suitcase. The staff provided excellent service. We had mistakenly booked a smoking room because we weren't familiar with the options. Upon check-in, we realized it was a smoking room. Initially, I thought the slight smoke smell was acceptable, but after reading many reviews online about smoking rooms (heavy smoke smell, ingrained, doesn't dissipate), I started worrying about being bothered by the smell at night and wanted to switch to a non-smoking room. The staff informed us that they were fully booked and couldn't change our room immediately, but they offered to treat the air in our current room. They also promised to switch us to a non-smoking room the next day if availability allowed. In the end, we decided not to switch as we found the smell in our room tolerable, but I'm still very grateful to the hotel staff for helping to remove the smoke smell and for their proactive coordination."

"The view from the room was excellent. Unfortunately, our room didn't face Osaka Castle Park, so we missed out on seeing the Tenshukaku (castle tower). The furnishings and facilities felt quite new, and we found no issues with cleanliness. As for the front desk service, it was a bit hard to judge; they weren't overly enthusiastic, but certainly efficient enough. We managed to check in with a combination of my rather broken English and a translation app. They also kindly provided children's amenities and complimentary scones. Overall, it was a good stay, and I'd be happy to book here again on my next trip."

"The location is truly excellent, but the room itself was quite small. The front desk staff provided service in Chinese, making the check-in process very smooth. Recently, Japanese hotels have been quite strict about check-in times; throughout our trip, we rarely managed to check in early. It really takes a fellow countryman to help another – we arrived around 1 PM, and seeing that our room was already cleaned, they let us check in.
The room was a bit cramped, making it quite a challenge to fit two beds. We spent most of our time on the first floor eating or relaxing. The first floor pretty much has everything you need: a microwave, hot water, teacups, a scale, etc. The subway station is about 400 meters away and is surrounded by places to eat. There's also a Life supermarket about 200 meters in front of the hotel, and their discounted bento boxes after 6 PM are a real treat!"

"The biggest surprise was the transportation; Shinsaibashi Station's Exit 8 subway entrance leads directly and seamlessly into the hotel lobby.
The hotel's location is truly a golden hub. Daimaru department store is right across the street, and the bustling Dotonbori is just a few minutes' walk away, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. You can purchase one-day passes for Universal Studios Japan (USJ) directly at the front desk. USJ is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel, which greatly simplifies trip planning.
While the hotel has been around for a while, the rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. Even with a child, we didn't feel cramped at all. Overall, this place met all the core needs for a family with kids regarding transportation, location, convenience, and basic services. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with convenient transportation; there are 3 subway stations within 1 km. However, I did notice some discrimination against Chinese guests, especially from the breakfast restaurant staff. Their service attitude clearly differed between Chinese guests and Caucasians. While it might not bother everyone, it was noticeable. Overall, this hotel is still worth staying at. The room cleaning was also very good and timely."

The location is absolutely phenomenal! A shopper's paradise! Major malls and flagship stores are right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to get all your favorite items in one go!
The rooms are incredibly spacious! In Japan, where space is a premium, the InterContinental's rooms feel like a true luxury. We booked a king room and even added an extra bed, and it still didn't feel cramped at all! The bathroom was also large and bright, and being able to lie down and gaze at Osaka's vibrant cityscape made it absolutely worth it!
The service was exceptionally thoughtful! From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was polite, attentive, and incredibly detail-oriented. The front desk, housekeeping, concierge... even the parking and luggage storage services were absolutely faultless!
When checking out, they even proactively offered to weigh my luggage. The most delightful surprise was when a staff member wished me ”Gong Xi Fa Cai” in Chinese – it felt so incredibly welcoming!
It truly proved to be a brilliant choice to stay at InterContinental Osaka! Next time I'm in Osaka, I'm definitely booking this place again!

We have been booked 21-24nov on our first stay and we plan to travel Osaka one more time so i have booked second stay from28nov-01dec. The hotel location no deny is the best. When you get off the airport limounsine to Osaka station it only take you 2 minutes walk to the hotel. SO SO SO many shopping malls around in walking distance with good food. I plan to go again in Feb26 and plan to stay in this hotel again. This hotel very quiet which i can't here any single noise from other guest which make my stay perfect. The restaurant which this time we have tried the buffet which is amazing and must try.

The room was quite spacious for Japan; even with my 26-inch suitcase, it didn't feel cramped. The wooden decor throughout the room gave it a warm and cozy feel. Unlike many Japanese hotels where windows face a wall or are frosted, this one was fantastic – not only was it a floor-to-ceiling window, but you could also open it slightly for ventilation, which felt both safe and comfortable. While it might not be as conveniently located for transport as Namba, the trade-off is larger rooms and a cleaner surrounding area. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Osaka.

TTravellingmamaThe hotel is situated right in front of USJ and lots of restaurants to choose from. There is a big Lawson to top up your snacks and drinks too. Room is spacious and can easily fit a small family. The beds are clean. Easy check in and check out. They have full bathroom amenities, kettle and flask to collect water. The thing to improve on is the wifi. We can hardly connect to it and the TV programs don’t load.

ZZhuomeiyadewanuofuxidaowangweiInitially, upon check-in, I was given a connecting room on the 13th floor. I contacted Trip.com customer service and managed to switch to the 5th floor. Oh my god, it was incredibly damp, and the hygiene was quite poor. I didn't sleep well for two nights. Trip.com customer service gets full marks, but the hotel gets 2 points.
Service: The front desk staff handling check-in was greasy and seemed inexperienced.
Hygiene: It was really damp; the pillows even had some mold.
Environment: Breakfast was pretty good, and the fresh orange juice machine was a highlight. They had beef burgers for breakfast. From 5 PM, they offered unlimited Italian gelato, hot dogs, waffles, and drinks. Ice cream, drinks, cookies, and desserts were available all day.
The location is indeed great. Next time I stay, I hope the hotel can provide better bedding and a higher floor.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is super easy to find, right by Exit 1 of Dobutsuen-mae Station, and it's literally next door to the Shinsekai area with Tsutenkaku Tower. It's incredibly convenient for both transport and sightseeing.
They have their own hot spring, which is amazing for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room size is pretty decent too, definitely more spacious than your typical Japanese express hotel. Plus, the breakfast spread offers a good variety. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka!

Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
