Our stay this time was fantastic, especially the front desk service! Amanda helped us with check-in for two separate bookings. She was incredibly friendly and efficient in managing our reservations. The hotel's overall environment is excellent; the gym and pool facilities are top-notch and well-maintained. The hygiene was also impeccable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I've already recommended it to my friends.

The environment was clean and ideal for moving about to different places. There are a few restaurants strung along the stretch making the location particularly convenient also. The greetings of the staff were fairly good and the service was also decent. The staff could have been a little more proactive towards our needs but, nonetheless a decent experience, especially as an international.

However, the front desk staff member I encountered during check-in wasn't great. They simply handed us the room cards without telling us anything about the hotel facilities. The most important thing was that the room card holder contained two cards: one was the actual room key, and the other was an electricity activation card. This is different from what we usually experience, where both cards are room keys. The front desk staff completely failed to inform us, which meant we couldn't get back into our room after going out. We had to ask the front desk to give us another room card, and this was a real minus point. But this was just one unhelpful staff member; everyone else was very enthusiastic.

The room was quite spacious, with a balcony and a washing machine. The front desk even provides laundry detergent, which is super convenient. The main selling point is the price, especially for someone like me who doesn't need breakfast; booking without it makes it even cheaper, which is perfect.

The rooftop garden is the absolute best part—sitting up there at night, feeling the breeze and stargazing, it's so relaxing I didn't want to leave. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the faucets are gleaming. Even though it's on a busy street, the double-glazed windows provide excellent soundproofing. Plus, the hallways are adorned with local photography – the attention to detail is just superb. I'd come back again just for the atmosphere!

With these amenities so close by, the hotel is within easy reach of almost everything a business traveler might need during their stay. During my visit, my spouse and son accompanied me, and the room setup worked out very well for our small family. The sofa bed provided in the room made it comfortable enough to accommodate three people without feeling cramped. The room itself was spacious, well-organized, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, which made our stay even more pleasant. Another highlight of the hotel is the excellent service from the staff. The housekeeping team was consistently friendly and attentive, ensuring the room was well maintained each day. The reception staff were also polite, welcoming, and professional, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. Overall, the combination of a great location, comfortable rooms, and attentive service made our stay at Hyatt Place Shanghai Tianshan Plaza a very enjoyable experience.
