I came to Pudong for a short business trip, originally just hoping to find a clean room with convenient transportation. However, I was deeply impressed by the warm and professional service from Chilly at the front desk, and ended up having a much better stay than expected. I arrived at the hotel during evening rush hour, after a long, traffic-filled journey, feeling physically and mentally exhausted as I dragged my luggage into the lobby. As soon as I approached the front desk, Chilly immediately stood up, smiled, and greeted me. There were no robotic, routine questions; her tone was gentle and soothing, and she quickly helped me complete the check-in verification. She was efficient and skilled, finishing all the procedures in just a few minutes. She even proactively asked about my itinerary for the next few days and thoughtfully offered travel advice. I asked a series of questions: key transfer points for Guanglan Road Metro Station, suitable restaurants for a quick business lunch near the park, breakfast hours, gym and pool opening rules, the location of EV charging stations in the underground parking garage, and the shuttle bus schedule to and from Disneyland. Faced with this barrage of questions, Chilly remained patient and calm, explaining everything clearly and logically. She even offered extra tips, like how busy the park entrances and exits can get during morning rush hour, and recommended more time-saving spots for calling a taxi. These detailed suggestions were incredibly practical. During my stay, I wasn't familiar with how to adjust the air conditioning in my room, so I called the front desk for assistance. Their response was very quick, and a technician was arranged to come up and troubleshoot right away. They followed up throughout the process, ensuring that every issue was addressed. Her service struck the perfect balance – enthusiastic but not forced, without excessive politeness. It felt natural and comfortable, alleviating the fatigue and loneliness of a business trip away from home. The hotel's hardware quality is also excellent. The lobby is simple yet elegant, and the public areas are clean and bright, with greenery and art installations complementing each other perfectly. Housekeeping and maintenance are timely and thorough. The guest rooms are spacious with excellent lighting and ventilation. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and you can choose between soft and firm pillows. Even facing the street, the soundproofing is exceptional; I could barely hear any traffic noise at night, ensuring a high-quality rest. The room is fully equipped with stable high-speed Wi-Fi, all appliances work smoothly, the bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and there's plenty of 24-hour hot water. The toiletries are of good quality. Housekeeping tidies up and replenishes supplies daily, keeping the room fresh and odor-free. The hotel's location is a major advantage. It's close to Guanglan Road Metro Station, with a wide selection of shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, making it convenient for both daily business meetings and short leisure trips. The comprehensive amenities and clean, comfortable rooms already fully met my business travel needs, but Chilly's meticulous and thoughtful service was truly the biggest highlight of this stay. The service at many hotels can feel formulaic, but she was able to anticipate my needs from a guest's perspective and handle all the small details perfectly, demonstrating excellent professionalism. Anyone who travels frequently understands that business trips can be tedious and tiring. A thoughtful reminder or a smooth, efficient check-in can soothe the frustrations of travel. The Grand Mercure Shanghai Pudong Century Park offers both solid hardware and warm service, all at an outstanding value. The next time I'm working in Zhangjiang, I will still prioritize staying here. I sincerely hope the hotel will commend Chilly at the front desk; such genuine, professional, and dedicated service deserves recognition. The rooms in the East Building are really dated. I know that old state guesthouses are bound to have older decor, but the stains on the carpet were just awful, and the furniture edges weren't clean. When I pulled open a cabinet door, the handle just fell off. I'd already stayed at Xijiao, so I thought I was prepared, but I wasn't prepared for this. There was also a slight smell in the room. The kids' playground was even worse – tiny and dirty. After it rained, the ground was covered in moss, and no one bothered to clean it up; it was a slip-and-fall waiting to happen. The staff, compared to other five-star hotels, lacked any real service awareness. While they were polite, they didn't solve any problems. Only the garden was decent for a stroll, but even then, the accessible area was quite small, with a large portion being a villa district.

The place was really good. They cleaned every day in our room. The breakfast was so delicious and we could experience traditional Chinese cuisine. Thank you so much for this pleasant experience. The only problem was in the shower (the showerhead didn’t work properly but it wasn’t a big deal)

I'd always heard about the great equipment at Heguang Alien Esports Hotel, so I made a special trip to their Zhangjiang branch in Shanghai to check it out. I was a bit worried the hype might be exaggerated, but I was completely blown away! The computers are the latest models, boot up incredibly fast, and can run even the most demanding AAA games with maxed-out settings without any lag. The monitors are high-refresh rate, and the color and refresh rate are both top-notch. The mouse pad is extra thick and feels fantastic, with no strange smells. The room's cleanliness was also spot-on; even the keyboard crevices were spotless, with not a single snack crumb in sight.

The room was clean, providing daily complementary drinks. Nice view. The Gym was very nice and you can get towels and water bottles. The location is great. Next to the hotel is the line 2 of the underground that take you to the city center and to the airport. The location is plenty of shopping centers and restaurants around.

My friend's child had their college entrance exam, so I booked Atour for them nearby. This hotel is located within a complex, so it's very quiet. I explained to the front desk staff that the child needed a quiet room for a rest during the exam and asked if we could extend the 2 PM late check-out by another two hours. Not only did the staff upgrade our room, but they also agreed to waive the late check-out fee. It was incredibly thoughtful! 👍

The room was great, the comforter wasn't stiff, and the service was excellent. It's very close to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and about 2km from the subway station.

This hotel is very close to Zhangjiang Group Middle School, which was super convenient for my Pudong District written exam. I booked a queen room for Friday, and the lady at the front desk upgraded me to a suite (I think it started with an 'E', sorry I can't remember the name). For just over 500 RMB, it was excellent value for money, and there were even welcome fruits in the room. The gym was decent too. The toilet was a smart toilet, there were two TVs in the room, and the bedding was good, with eye masks provided. // The only minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the room kept making noise, and I couldn't find a way to turn it off.

The room was quite spacious, and it's super close to the University of Science and Technology. The hotel's back gate is right there, though you need a card to get in and out. It's also near the river, so the surroundings are pretty nice.
