"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's a wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious, there's a clothes dryer on the balcony, and the cleaning and service are excellent. Everyone at the front desk is polite, friendly, and helpful. They explain everything and assist with any issues. In the evenings, there's live music, which is lovely to listen to while relaxing in the lobby or by the pool. Thank you for your hospitality! 😍"

"Facilities: This was our first time bringing our child to Phuket. We initially booked The Emerald in Karon, but then I read reviews saying that while it was new, the pool felt a bit cramped between the two buildings. So, I checked out more reviews and decisively switched to the established Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, which has a more resort-like vibe! It boasts a super large pool water park, and there's even a dedicated children's area with a small water slide 🛝 for toddlers, which is fantastic! Cleanliness: As an older five-star hotel, the decor is a bit dated, so the rooms feel a little old, but overall cleanliness is quite good. There were no issues with small animals or anything like that, unlike some online reviews suggested. Environment: As always, I've attached pictures; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Service: The front desk service was excellent. We booked island hopping tours daily, and they picked us up at the front desk each day. On the first day, I was unfamiliar with the area and worried about finding the driver, so a staff member proactively helped us check our itinerary and contacted the driver via phone to clarify things in Thai! Thumbs up! One more thing I absolutely must mention: The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort's location is arguably the most convenient in the Karon area. Right outside, there's a small commercial street with massage parlors, fruit stalls, Thai food, and seafood – everything you could want! Plus, turn right out of the hotel and walk just 30 meters, and you're at the stunning Karon Beach in minutes. There's also a 🚌 bus stop right outside that goes to Phuket Town, which is much more convenient than Centara Karon Resort Phuket!"

"This hotel is an absolute gem! It's just a few minutes' drive from the airport. We only stayed for one night as a layover, but we were really impressed. The beach is right across the road; while the sand quality isn't as good as Karon or Kata, it's perfectly fine for kids to play and dig. The hotel has a tranquil atmosphere with many towering banyan trees, giving it a real vacation vibe as you walk around. There's also a children's pool that's big enough for kids to enjoy. Right next to the hotel, you'll find a 7-Eleven, massage shops, a supermarket, and a pharmacy, and there are plenty of convenient dining options. If you're coming for a proper vacation, I wouldn't recommend the room type I stayed in, as it's by a small road and can be a bit noisy with passing motorbikes. Instead, booking a room in the middle of the hotel would be excellent and really enhance the holiday feel. The downsides are still the poor water quality, so a filtered shower head is needed, the pool is a bit small, and there are quite a few mosquitoes, so definitely bring plenty of insect repellent. Recommended!"

"If you're staying in the annex building, be careful of the long, steep slope. We saw a guest's luggage slide down from there and hit someone. Please make sure to store your personal belongings safely in your room. Other than that, everything else was good, and the pool was great. The room was spacious enough too. Just remember to run the bath water first to make sure there's no yellow discoloration."

"100 meters from Karon Beach, an affordable place averaging 90 per person, and two major traps to avoid! I dug up a real gem of a value-for-money hotel near Karon Beach in Phuket, and I absolutely have to recommend it to budget travelers! First, the price: only 180 a night! In China, you'd only get a budget hotel for that price, but here you're right in the beach walking circle. I stayed in building #4, and the room was spotlessly clean, no damp, musty smell, and the bedding was fresh, so I slept very soundly. The best part – it's only 100 meters to the beach! Just change into your swimwear, stroll over, and you're in the water. When you're tired of playing, you can come back anytime for a shower, it's so convenient. The coconut tree at the end of my video is the beach itself. If you want to be even closer, you can ask if buildings #1 or #2 are available, but they might be a bit noisier as they're closer to the road. Breakfast is a buffet, and while it's not a lavish five-star spread, the flavors are authentic and delicious, especially the Thai fried noodles. It tastes just like what you'd get from a street food stall, saving you the cost of a meal. Picture 2 with the bread shows the breakfast spread. Deposit: The front desk requires a 1000 baht cash deposit. When checking out, they're super efficient – they inspect the room and refund it instantly, which is a big plus. Surroundings: There's a 7-Eleven within 200 meters. There's a massage parlor downstairs, but I didn't go. You can always buy water and snacks at 7-Eleven. There are several small eateries nearby; I went to 'The Grand,' a family-run place, and ate there two nights in a row (pictures included). There's a coin laundry next to building #4 downstairs. You'll need coins, and you can buy detergent from the machine, but it's more expensive than 7-Eleven, so I recommend buying it there. ⚠️ But! Here are the major traps to avoid! Trap 1: The private convenience store downstairs – four times the price! I'd been buying things at 7-Eleven for seven or eight days in Thailand. That day, for laundry, I didn't have coins and went to the private store downstairs for convenience. The result? A 2-liter bottle of the same brand mineral water that costs 14 baht outside was 15 baht for 500ml there, a quadruple markup! Absolutely outrageous. Trap 2: Amber Restaurant downstairs – possibly fake reviews! Initially, I saw a high rating on Dazhong Dianping (a Chinese review site) and thought about trying it. But when I got there, I found it was full of Chinese tourists, and they even had group buying deals! As everyone knows, which local Thai restaurant would use Dazhong Dianping for group deals? I suspected the scores were faked, so I decided not to eat there. Everyone should assess it for themselves. On a side note, regarding the coin laundry downstairs I mentioned earlier, it costs 50-60 baht per wash. If you don't have coins, you can exchange them directly at the machine or ask the front desk for help. Absolutely do NOT go to that rip-off store to get change! There are more Chinese and Russian tourists staying here. The staff can generally communicate in English, and ordering food by gesturing is perfectly fine. In a nutshell: For 180 baht, what more could you ask for? Just go for it! But keep your hands in your pockets and stay away from those two places downstairs!"

"Much better than I expected! It doesn't have that old, dated feel that some older hotels do. The area right outside the hotel is very lively and bustling. I stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, and I could even see the sea! The surroundings are vibrant but not too noisy. Kata Beach is just a short walk away, where I even learned to surf. The hotel environment is excellent, very clean, and the service attitude is fantastic!"

"The owner of this hotel is Chinese, and they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. Since we visited Phuket during the Chinese New Year holiday, many excursions were fully booked, but the owner gave us excellent advice and a lot of assistance. The hotel is situated on a hillside, offering great city and sea views. There's also a rooftop pool where you can overlook the entire Patong area. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay at this hotel."

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 days between location changes. What a wonderful hotel! The staff at the reception were very pleasant, as were the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day, and both shower and beach towels were changed daily. They provided 2 bottles of water every day, even if the previous ones hadn't been consumed. The room has everything you need: air conditioning, a TV, a tea set, a kettle, a refrigerator, umbrellas, a safe, an electronic clock, and an insect repellent. The bathroom is fully stocked with toiletries: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, dental kits, cotton pads/swabs, and shower caps. The pool isn't deep, but it's very clean (it's cleaned every morning). Around the pool, there are sun loungers, umbrellas, and plenty of trees, so you can find shade and cool off even on the hottest days. There aren't many people by the pool, so you're sure to get some relaxation! The location is quite convenient. Just around the corner from the hotel, you'll find a 7/11, a currency exchange, and massage services. The beach is about a 10-minute walk, but be prepared for many boats in the water, ready to take you to nearby islands. However, the Thais aren't pushy, and the boats don't cause any discomfort. If you prefer, you can take a taxi to a more secluded beach where there are no boats, but you can rent kayaks and go snorkeling. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone; we will definitely be back!"

The Nai Harn

This hotel was the highlight of my Phuket trip. Seriously, no complaints except for its distance from the city center. The price was fantastic too! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the service was incredibly warm – everyone greeted you with a smile. The room smelled lovely and wasn't humid at all. I don't understand why everyone raves about Katathani but no one mentions The Nai Harn. They replenished our water generously every day. The moment you open the door, it's just stunning. It totally made up for the disappointment of the first three days at The Boathouse (I assume '美的概念' refers to The Boathouse or a similar property name based on common Phuket hotel names). My mood instantly lifted. Breakfast was also great. Honestly, I've been feeling a bit down since coming back... experiencing withdrawal symptoms. T_T

I booked a one-bedroom villa, and after visiting and comparing several units, I truly believe Villa #68 is the absolute best among the one-bedroom options! The layout and size are optimal! The villa boasts a generous 550 sqm, offering huge space and a comfortable layout. It comes with a private pool that directly connects to the beach, making both privacy and the views impeccable. The amenities are also comprehensive: a sauna, indoor and outdoor dual showers, and an outdoor bathtub, instantly delivering a complete resort feel and comfort. The hotel itself has a very natural, ecological island vibe. We saw lizards several times on the villa rooftop and by the pool. At first, it was a bit scary, but they are actually very docile and completely non-aggressive – a rather unique wilderness experience. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special. The service was excellent throughout; all staff members were enthusiastic, friendly, meticulous, and attentive. A special shout-out to Liam, who provided dedicated service from start to finish, always responsive, patiently helping us arrange all our needs with professionalism and warmth! However, there are a few objective points that deduct from the overall score: Firstly, the hotel's landscaping and gardening are rather ordinary compared to other resorts in the same category. Most of the public areas are sandy, with sparse and poorly maintained plants, making them generally not photo-worthy. Secondly, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The quality of the fixtures and sanitary ware like the toilet and showerhead feels quite common, which doesn't quite match the Luxury Collection brand positioning. Getting to the island involves a bit of a journey, from the airport to the pier and then a speedboat transfer, but it feels worth it upon arrival. If you're looking for an extra-large private villa, private pool, direct beach access, and excellent service, this place is still highly recommended. However, if you are sensitive to the public area landscaping and the newness of indoor hardware, you might want to do a bit more research.

The room facilities are very new, and the hotel environment is beautiful. It's quite close to the airport, which was convenient as I had an early flight the next day. The hotel has its own clean, uncrowded beach, making it a great choice if you're traveling with kids and just want to relax at the hotel and play on the sand. For meals or grocery shopping, the hotel provides a tuk-tuk service every 50 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening. By the way, the pizza place nearby is pretty good, and there's also an elephant feeding experience with two elephants, which was quite fun.

Enjoyed our 3 nights at Noku Phuket! The front desk and bell team were absolutely lovely during our time here, and we had a complimentary upgrade to the room with the whirlpool in our balcony! Loved that the room was super spacious, and there were dual sinks in the bathroom. Location was pretty far but they provided complimentary shuttles to Phuket town too! Didn’t manage to explore the breakfast, dining and spa offerings during this stay! It would be good if the hotel could look into improving their flooring (there were some gaps & there was even a piece of wood sticking out and was a hazard). The linen was really thin and not fitting of 5 star standard, which was a shame as the hotel was really pretty! But overall still a highly recommended stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Graceland Resort—I can’t be any happier. I arrived pretty late at night, and all I asked for was a nice, quiet room. The front desk lady Jenny at that time of night was incredibly considerate and sweet .She upgraded me to a pool room, and I truly appreciate that. Also, there was a lovely cleaning lady Kanyakorn who cleaned me room every day and was very attentive and pleasant , she let me borrowed the iron exceptionally longer period of time😅Overall, I felt taken care of and very welcomed. The service and hospitality were excellent. The breakfast was okay—I’d rate it about 6.7 out of 10—but the hotel itself is beautiful. It has a couple of pools and it’s right on the beach, with many restaurants around. Hotel got a small gym as well which is good enough for few days workout and oh yes they offer complimentary half an hour morning trainings as well which was nice . I also remember a v kind gesture from them i ordered late night food and they forgot to deliver to bring and on being reminded the food and beverage manager felt terribly sorry and wanted to send free meal next day which wasn’t needed for me so I declined politely but they were so sweet they still ended up sending a fruit platter to room.In all , with such great hospitality, I would definitely come back to the hotel. Customer service was awfully wonderful.

Out of the three hotels I stayed at in Phuket, this one was by far the best. The breakfast at a five-star hotel always satisfies with its rich variety, and there were plenty of staff members. I'd read reviews for the previous two hotels that also mentioned good breakfast, but they were honestly hard to judge. The hotel has a large infinity pool that closes at 7 PM, which is great. The beach is right across the road, with hotel staff and sun loungers available. A hidden gem is to go to the beach in the morning for some scenic photos, and then after the tide recedes in the afternoon, you can go 'sea foraging' – there are lots of fish, mantis shrimp, crabs, and sea cucumbers. On my last day, I witnessed a stunning sunset from the beach. While the beach directly in front of the hotel isn't quite as good as Karon, the adjacent Kamala Beach is still very nice. The hotel is right by the beach. This area isn't very convenient for getting around without a car. Kamala Beach is only about a kilometer away, and the hotel seems to have a shuttle service. Kamala Beach has everything you need; although it's not as lively as Karon, it definitely meets expectations. The 7-Eleven on the beach is quite large and well-stocked. There's a Big C supermarket on the main road (about 150m from Kamala Beach); I didn't visit, but it looked like a big store.

I didn't have high hopes for this hotel due to its low rating on Ctrip and the room photos. However, my stay far exceeded my expectations. The room was much more upscale in person than it appeared in the pictures. While some power outlets, switches, and a few pieces of furniture were a bit dated, the overall quality was still evident. We booked a one-bedroom luxury sea-view villa. Upon arrival, the staff warmly showed us two different layouts within this room type: one with separate living and sleeping areas, and another where they were connected. The bedroom and bathroom configurations also varied. We chose the latter, and the view was absolutely incredible. The staff across all departments were excellent, always greeting us with a smile and providing great assistance. The tuk-tuk service was also very prompt, arriving within 2-3 minutes of calling. Because of the room's amazing view, we ordered room service for both dinners, enjoying our meals while watching the sunset. The food quality was also excellent, far superior to the Banyan Tree where we stayed a few days prior. There's a 7-Eleven within walking distance, and the walk from the hotel to the 7-Eleven offers nice scenery. There were a couple of downsides. Firstly, the breakfast selection was limited (though the taste was decent), and the breakfast restaurant lacked air conditioning. Also, the air conditioning in the game room was often turned off; I hope they can improve this. One more thing to mention: if your budget allows, I highly recommend upgrading directly to the one-bedroom luxury pool sea-view villa. The experience at this hotel differs significantly depending on whether you have a sea view or not.

Why are there so many negative reviews? This hotel is excellent in terms of both facilities and service! The environment is very natural and pristine, with a massive garden, lush trees, and modern architecture. The pool is huge, with several shallow play areas, perfect for families with children under 6. The main pool is 1.4 meters deep – imagine relaxing in the water while gazing at the sea! There's also a bar right by the pool. The hotel's private beach, although the waves are too strong for swimming, boasts water the same clear, blue-green color as the pool – absolutely beautiful. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich, offering not only standard Western options but also many local specialties like curries, pandan cake, sticky rice desserts, and Thai milk tea – all delicious! There's also a wide selection for lunch and dinner. The prices are comparable to outside restaurants, and while there's a service charge, it saves you the time and effort of going out, making it ideal for lazy guests like us who just want to relax at the hotel. The hotel also has a spa and massage services, along with a gym. There are different activities scheduled daily. The staff are friendly, polite, and always willing to help. For payments, credit cards, Alipay, and WeChat Pay are all accepted. Guests come from all over the world, truly a mini United Nations, which is very interesting. However, the hotel's location is a bit remote, which might not suit those who prefer a livelier atmosphere.

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing. Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Sunset Beach Resort. The facilities are a bit dated, but they are well maintained, which I truly appreciate. You can tell the resort takes good care of what it has. The location is generally fine, though the beach directly in front of the resort isn’t the best. Patong Beach is about a 300+ meter walk away, which is manageable, just something to note for guests who expect a beachfront swimming spot. The only part that slightly affected our experience was the shuttle service — not a big issue, but a memorable one. On 1 February, around 5:30 PM, we informed the front desk that we needed the 6:30 PM shuttle to Bangla Street. We even confirmed it twice and were told to sit and wait, as the staff would notify us when the shuttle arrived. We made sure they knew exactly where we were waiting. By 7:00 PM, after no update, we went back to the front desk only to be told that the shuttle had already left. The staff apologized and admitted she had overlooked us, and arranged the next shuttle. Nothing serious — just an unexpected extra 30 minutes of “resort relaxation time” we hadn’t planned for. 😊 Still, aside from this hiccup, the stay was comfortable, and with a bit more attention to shuttle coordination, the experience would be even better.
