"The location is amazing, walkable access to the beach. No basic amenities provided like dental kit, sleepers etc. Amazed to see Missing or stolen Items rate sheets, never seen anywhere in the world. Rooms located in the backyard garden need painting and plaster, smells of putty paint in rooms. It is better to book a private villa which has a swimming pool 24/7 access. If booking a basic room is not at all recommended..No Swimming pool access to backyard garden rooms, 4 other pools are occupied by Private villa people. Mosquitoes everywhere, they must have mosquito repellent options in the room, which is basic sense not provided at all. Recommended for old retired couples, not at all recommended for families with kids. On this charge better options are available. Please check Room photos properly before booking."

"Pros: The hotel itself is quite lovely, and the service was generally good. The pool is beautiful. The location is excellent, with a shuttle bus to the beach and it's also walkable. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Cons: The water pressure in the shower was quite low. The cleaning wasn't exceptionally thorough; there was dust on the desk."

"I stayed at 77 Patong Hotel & Spa and the best thing about this place is the location. Everything is nearby — Patong Beach, Bangla Road, night market, shops… super convenient if you like walking everywhere. The rooftop pool is small but nice for relaxing. Rooms are okay for the price, but don’t expect anything fancy. Some parts feel old and the AC takes time to cool. The spa is basic, not a luxury experience. Overall, good for budget travellers who want location more than comfort. Not ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful or premium stay."

"Facilities: The hotel facilities are very complete, with breakfast served every morning. There's a 7-Eleven right at the entrance, making it super convenient for buying things. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and the cleaning staff came to tidy up every day. Ambiance: The environment is beautiful, with trees and flowers, and there's a pool right downstairs for swimming. Service: The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they speak Chinese, which made communication easy. You can also rent scooters for convenient transportation, and you're just a short walk away from booking a boat trip out to sea. Highly recommend staying here, the hotel is great in all aspects!!!"

"Baumancasa Beach Resort boasts an excellent location, just across the road from Karon Beach. There are plenty of 7-Eleven stores and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. However, the prices during Chinese New Year were significantly inflated compared to their regular rates. If you can book outside of peak season, the value for money would actually be quite good. I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the rooftop pool and views. It's a shame that I spent most of my time out exploring and missed the sauna and pool opening hours when I got back to the hotel. The breakfast was also pretty good, though the coffee tasted a bit like instant. P.S. Avoid the Amber Restaurant near the hotel entrance. Don't be fooled by its high rating on Dianping; it's not good value for money, and they even swapped out my dish, which raises some serious trust issues."

"We stayed in a room with direct pool access for 4 nights and had a very warm, welcoming hospitality experience overall. The staff were excellent, but the hotel itself and its facilities were a bit hit-and-miss. The property feels dated and could use some renovation—the buildings show discoloration, and there was mold in the bathroom along with an unpleasant odor, possibly from the septic system. One highlight was the complimentary minibar, which was replenished daily with water, soft drinks, Chang beer, whisky, vodka, gin, snacks, and even a lovely small dessert in the evening. Getting around can be a bit challenging without your own car or motorbike, especially for elderly guests, as the hotel is located on a hill about 15–20 minutes from the town center. There is a shuttle service to and from Jungceylon Shopping Mall, but it only runs every couple of hours and stops at 9 PM. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I’d definitely recommend booking a rate that includes it. The rooftop bar and restaurant are a standout feature, with stunning panoramic ocean views and a great selection of drinks and cocktails."

"This was my third time here. My first visit was in December 2024, when the hotel was undergoing renovations. By June, the renovations were complete, including the fitness center and spa. This time, we even received complimentary spa vouchers. The fitness center is quite spacious, and the grounds are very well-maintained. Breakfast is standard, as expected for hotels of this caliber. The sea is incredibly close; it's just a three-minute walk straight down from the hotel to the best part of Karon Beach. We've stayed in different buildings and rooms, and we've been pleased with all of them. The rooms are large, not brand new, of course, but everything is perfectly decent. It's December 2025 now, the weather is lovely, the sea is calm, and the water is very clear. Overall, my impressions are overwhelmingly positive. For the price, it's a truly decent hotel."

"I mainly came here to play tennis. Hotel guests get a 10% discount on tennis lessons, but you need to book in advance, otherwise you might not get your preferred coach. There are 4 indoor and 2 outdoor courts, which was very convenient as my child had tennis lessons arranged. The gym looked great, but I didn't get a chance to use it. The pool isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate for both kids and adults to enjoy. Across the street from the hotel, there's a Michelin-starred Fujian noodle shop. We ate there every day, and the prices were very reasonable. The hotel's location is decent. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to the shopping mall, but there are no massage places nearby. The closest 'Let's Relax' is almost 2km away, so you'd need a taxi for that. Overall, I think this place is great for sports and fitness, and it's also quite convenient to get around by taxi."

"Fantastic value for money. Stayed here a few year back under the name Bauman Residence and it was good then but now as Elite Suites it has improved. The staff throughout were so polite and welcoming. Always smiling and being pleasant and helpful. Hotel very well maintained and cleaned. Pool bar promotions and happy hours are better than any of the bars on the island. Good bar snacks selection of well prepared food. Stayed for 10 nights in total across 2 bookings. Rebooked for October before checking out."

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is a bit too remote. At night, the road outside the hotel is completely dark, so you're pretty much limited to dining at the hotel restaurant. However, you need reservations for dinner, and during Chinese New Year, it was impossible to get one. We ended up ordering takeout (though options were limited, and you had to pick it up yourself from the front desk). While there's a beach, the waves were too strong to really swim. The service, however, was excellent. We only booked this hotel because we were going to Similan the next day. P.S. Similan isn't worth it unless you're deep diving; snorkeling and a day trip are definitely not worth it.

GGuest UserI would like to say thank you for Noku for the birthday arrangements and also the kind service from the staff; I do not like complaining but I do have to raise up my issues as I do believe there can be massive improvements in the hotel and how they handle issues ($550USD for two night stay) - I booked a HILL VILLA KING; I requested prior to arrival that I wanted a certain view and they replied we will try to the best of their availability (which is totally understandable) - When I arrived the service was good and they were very kind and again I appreciated the birthday setup they did in the room - After I checked in ROOM H11; which I saw was weird was there was 2 separate bed bases; and using common sense I thought why would a KING bed have 2 bed bases - After trying to sleep at night I noticed that it was actually a 2 twin beds put together which explains the two separate bed bases; during the night the bed moved in the middle (with obvious two twin beds and the line in the middle) the bed sheets did not fit because it was two twins and they gave me two separate blankets (it was me and my girlfriend) so it is weird having two separate blankets - I went to explain my situation to duty manager (AM is his name) he was very nice but very inexperienced I must say; I went to the front desk and I said “hi may I know what type of room I booked” then they said “king bed Hill Villa” I said perfect then I said I would like to speak to a manager (they knew what I was going to say) - When AM came out he did not let me speak he just talked and said sir because you requested for a nicer view we gave you this room and because the king bed broke which is why we put two twins together. I asked if that is the case why did you not inform me at check in? He said oh we did not im so sorry; let me change your room for you and I will send a fruit plate as apology (TBH I don’t want a fruit plate I can easily get one for $2USD anywhere in Thailand) I said please I had lunch yesterday which was around $25USD pls waive that for me as courtesy and everything would be fine. AM replied of course that’s not a problem sir (I THOUGHT everything was resolved) not sure if he did not understand but I spoke slowly in English due to the language barrier - We went to my new room at night and saw the fruit plate (thought it was a bonus) room was better and was a king bed which is what I wanted. I go to check out the following morning (I DID NOT HAVE TO) they do not take a deposit which is weird because I signed a lunch to my room so I could have just left. I met AM again and he showed me the map of the whole hotel; Pointed at H11 and you can clearly see that the room has two twin beds (So the BED was not broken they just put me in a twin bed combined into a King) He said yes lol not sure why because its not what he said yesterday that the King bed broke. Then he said oh sir you do have a lunch that you had to pay for (Yesterday he just said yes no problem I will take care) now I need to pay for it; I said did you not say you will take care of it he replied “sorry sir because this is another department” To me its one hotel; how you deal with costs internally is not my problem ( I WAS NOT GOING WRITE A REVIEW BUT AFTER THIS I HAD TO) - Also just to add First day breakfast I asked for (ICE THAI COFFEE) they said they do not have and interesting as im in Thailand all hotels have this but it was fine; BUT the breakfast colleagues said at afternoon session they have so I said no problem! But one of the staff offered “sir tomorrow morning we can offer if you would like” I thought amazing that’s service; next day I went “SIR WE DO NOT HAVE THAI COFFEE” after the disappointments above I gave up and adding to the bill not being waived which is a fraction of the cost of the room I gave up - All in all this hotel tries to be “high end” but there are many improvements that can be made Sorry for the long review but I was not too impressed

ZZhubagongzimianThis hotel seems to be less frequented by Chinese tourists. During my three-day stay, I only saw about four Chinese guests, while the Sheraton next door was packed with them. The hotel has an old-school Western resort vibe, with spacious rooms and a large enough pool, perfect for a relaxing getaway. I probably got lucky with the price this time, under 600 a night, which was a real bargain. The only significant drawback was the breakfast; the food options were limited, and the service needed improvement. However, for someone like me who can't wake up early, it wasn't a big deal. The hotel's location is excellent. It's right on the beach, with a 7-Eleven and laundry service just a 5-minute walk away. It's also only about a 10-20 minute walk to Jungceylon. It's convenient yet quiet enough at night. I originally booked a garden view room, but the front desk staff upgraded me to a sunset garden view upon check-in. The room was spacious and well-laid out, with a sofa and a desk. The bathroom was large and clean, and the balcony had two lounge chairs, giving it a great vacation feel while staying at the hotel. The cushions on the balcony lounge chairs were slightly worn but didn't affect their use. **Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy, meeting 5-star standards. **Environment:** The hotel consists of roughly three buildings flanking two pools, making it ideal for a 'staycation.' The beach is right outside, and there's a restaurant near the sea with live band performances in the evenings. **Service:** It seems a bit understaffed, but generally, the attitude was good. GGuest UserWe loved the overall experience as a family of four. It was only a short boat ride from Phuket. Although the beach was small, there was a private pool in our villa which we loved. We swam in the private pool when it was sunset. It was so pretty.  The majority of the staff was also incredibly friendly, with almost every service available 24/7. Impressed by the friendliness of the staff at Naka Island Hotel. None of them went past us without smiling and greeting us, and almost everyone we met was ready to engage in little conversation to help us settle into the environment. It was so chilled all around, the surroundings and the accommodation, our nerves were rested for a good few days. Beautiful local excursions also available. We went on a little hike to Tad zoo beach which proved to be a little of an adventure because of the 30-min arduous walk for the kids. Once there, not only did we enjoy the beach chilled atmosphere, we got on jet skis with some discounts to the hotel prices too. Upon return to hotel, we jumped into the private pool overlooking the beach at sunset. An amazing experience hard to forget. Breakfast was exquisite. It had the blend of modern western food and local Thai food. The noodles were delicious, broth was excellent. Got a shoulder and back massage free of charge at the entrance to the veranda restaurant (breakfast restaurant) - knowing how much it would cost, it made my day. Would recommend the Muay Thai to anyone seeking a workout with a touch of Thai culture. The instructor was friendly and funny. He identified my daughter’s talent in the sport. When we go back to HK, I will have another perspective to work on.

While the ocean view from my room wasn't spectacular due to its lower floor, its proximity to the restaurant, lobby, and pool made getting around incredibly convenient. Breakfast quality was excellent, and the service was impeccable; the Thai smiles always put me at ease. The 'casa' (villa/suite) offered incredible views, and the sunsets and evening glow were stunning. The pool was large, though a bit exposed to the sun with no shade. The main drawback is the location, which is a bit remote – about 2 km from Kamala town, and a taxi to Patong starts at 200 THB. The beach right in front of the hotel was quite poor, with rough, yellowish sand that hurt my feet, and the ocean wasn't great either. However, for a pure resort stay, it's a fantastic choice.

NNikitaThe pool and the breakfast are good. We also had a nice town view. The room is controversial. We had to wait till exactly 14:00 to check in. We couldn't even check in at 13:58. The toilet is a joke. It has a big glass with a frosted part so you can see a silhouette of a person in the shower. The sliding door has a big gap so you can see a person sitting on a toilet through it. So there's no sound proof on the toilet and you can see and hear almost everything happening inside. I had to go to the first floor toilet to do my things. And water pipes are noisy and might start buzzing in the middle of the night. A few times we heard loud music somewhere in the hotel so we had to call the reception to solve the problem otherwise it was impossible to rest in the room. There also was dust somewhere in the room. I'm not sure I'll stay there again.

The hotel was very clean, and the Thai-style gardens and pool were fantastic. Plus, the hotel is right on the beach – just a short walk from our room, which was incredibly convenient. My child loved it so much they didn't want to leave! The only downside is that there's nothing much outside the hotel; it's a bit isolated. So, if you're looking for a relaxing hotel stay with family fun, this place is perfect. There are a few restaurants by the sea, and the prices are quite reasonable. It's really great! I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

Initially, the bathroom had a slight odor, but the hotel cleaned it again the next day, and the smell was gone. The service attitude was excellent; they helped me with my luggage to the room. After checking out, since my flight was in the evening, there was a bathroom on the ground floor where I could shower, and they even provided me with a towel. There are also toilets on the ground floor. The breakfast was very rich with many choices. The pool was large and clean. Overall, it was excellent.

GGuest UserTo be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. I specifically booked a deluxe sea-view room, and they initially gave me a room on the third floor. As soon as I opened the door, I knew something was off. Picture 1 shows what they called a 'sea-view room,' but there was a huge tree right in the middle, blocking the view. I thought, 'Why am I paying a premium price to look at a tree for four nights?' This is clearly a garden-view room. I immediately called the front desk. At first, they didn't want to change my room that day and told me to wait until the next. I explained I was staying for four nights, and after some hesitation, the front desk said they'd move me to the fifth floor. However, Picture 2 shows the room I eventually stayed in. It wasn't directly facing the sea like in the promotional photos; it was quite slanted, and I had to really strain to catch a glimpse of the ocean. It was quite disappointing. The service and everything else were actually good, but paying that price specifically for a sea-view room to get this was just not worth it.

MMrV12341234LOVED our stay here and would recommend the place to others. See my below pros and cons. Pros: -the staff was very friendly. They all worked very hard to make sure the guests are happy. -The food was delicious (especially the curry’s). Everything is good except maybe some of the western things like the hamburgers. Stick with the Thai dishes. The breakfast buffet was slightly above average. -The rooms were very clean. No bugs. -They provided us a very nice crib for our nine month old -we never once heard our neighbors, or any guests, through the walls. -The ac worked great. -There is a free shuttle to old town Phuket each day (but see cons below on this). You can use the Bolt or Grab app to call a taxi. This is much cheaper than the on site taxi. -Free ride to and from the local beach (it’s not realistic to walk there because the road is too steep). -The beach is very quiet compared to most beaches in Phuket. There is a bar at the beach that serves all kinds of drinks. There are free beach chairs for you. If they are all taken the staff has large picnic mats for you to use (see below for negatives about the beach) -beach area has a small children’s playground. One of those plastic castle style climb / slide things. There is also two small football (soccer) goals and a volleyball net. -the beach is really nice in its own way. The sand and water is not as beautiful as other Phuket beaches, especially those on the west side, but the views of the nearby islands make it very serene and something the west side beaches don’t have. If you’re not coming to snorkel and see fish, it’s a good beach. There is also lots of shade if needed. -you get one free kayak rental per stay -The sheets in the room were changed every day and were very clean and comfortable -The hot water was really hot and never ran out. -our room had a mini fridge that worked great and had a little freezer section. -The pool is very clean, cool, and relaxing. You can order drinks right in the pool -The upper pool has an amazing view of the Thai islands. Make sure to get to the pool early (8-9am) and secure a chair or two if you plan to have a pool day. -speaking of the view, because you’re on the east side, there are many islands in the distance, making the view’s spectacular. The west side beaches you’re looking out into open ocean. Here you see mountains and hills in the distance. Cons: -they give your room 2 water bottles each day, but you’re stuck at the resort unless you hire a taxi. So we had to continually buy water from the desk or restaurant until we went out to the 7-11 (I recommend stopping at a convenience store on your taxi ride to the resort and stock up on water, drinks, snacks etc that you enjoy) -you have to get a taxi everywhere, even to a convenience store. -There is a small store on site that sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs, cigarettes, etc. but it was never open. We got really frustrated because our 9 month old uses water for his formula and we simply couldn’t get enough water, so we had to repeatedly ask to use the store and then a worker finally came and let us buy some water. -Our room did not have electric outlets next to the bed (could be a pro for some?). Actually, there was only one outlet in the room that was reasonably accessible to charge phones. (Plug outlets are multi purpose, had USA & Europe holes) -The snorkeling is terrible at the Supalai beach. Very murky and cloudy water (The tides are rather extreme here, hundreds of feet of shore line exposed), leaving a muddy/marsh like area at the beach each evening. We even did a day trip over to Naka Yai island and Nahka noi island and the snorkeling was also pointless because the water is so cloudy. If you plan to snorkel don’t stay in the east side.
