"This hostel is located next to a local bus stop to various beaches. There is a convenience store in front. The room is not very spacious and is rather damp due to lack of light and ventilation. The bathroom is not very good. There is a kitchen, refillable drinking water, and no parking. I couldn't sleep because I could hear people walking in and out of the room all the time."

"Amazing stay at a brand-new hostel! Everything was perfect! The hostel is brand new with friendly staff. The beds are cozy with big soft blankets, and the new towels are amazing. There are two A/Cs per room, keeping the temperature very comfortable. I also loved the convenient lockers for luggage and shoes. Great location with many cafes and massage shops nearby. Deposit 500 bat upon arrival. There’s a nice chill-out area with a stunning view of the Big Buddha. They also have a modern laundry, a small cafe, and motobike rentals on-site. The only minor thing is the lack of a water heater, but in the heat, the cool water was actually very refreshing. Highly recommended!"

"They have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water..."

"Beehive Hostel Phuket old town is a great place for stay. I stayed one night in it and found it very amazing, clean bedrooms , washrooms, all amenities available in it like hot water, swimming pool, drinking water, free coffee, they give towel as well. Fast wifi, lobby sitting area, balcony. Walking distance to Phuket old town, helpful crew as well. Definitely recommend and i will go back again if i need to stay in Phuket. Thank you"

"The place was well located and good. I had the private room which was good and private for one person. The only problem was that I couldn’t lock the room because the lock was broken."

"The hotel lobby has gym equipment, but the quality isn't great, though it's better than nothing. I stayed in a room on the third floor, at the south end, and the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. I checked outside and saw that the Wi-Fi router was installed in the middle of the third floor, so if you stay closer to the middle, the signal will be better. However, with people walking around, there will also be noise. There's a washing machine and dryer in the lobby. No coins? No problem, you can pay cash at the front desk for 120 Thai Baht, and they'll wash and fold your clothes for you. Just come back about an hour later to pick them up. This service is quite expensive. Alternatively, if you exit the hotel and turn right, there's a laundromat near the crossroads where you can wash clothes for just 20 Thai Baht and then air dry them yourself."

"Even if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature). While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order. But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny. Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.” After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime. This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol. I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high? In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out. I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average. P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information."

"We stayed for only one night the room was clean and large. We stayed on the ground floor. The room had a tv, ac, a small fridge with two complimentary water bottles. Good price and service."

"The experience was truly very excellent. The staff were very friendly and the rooms are very clean. I will definitely be staying in the same place again if I visit Phuket next time"
