"What impressed me about this place is the management's professionalism.
The building is a little old though but it is taken care of well.
You have to login to wifi every time you leave and come back to the hotel.
It has many parking place for cars and it can be reached easily from the main road.
It is not very far from the old town Phuket, just 10 minutes of walking.
The hotel gives 2 bottles of water and 1 roll of toilet paper every day, also it is always possible to have cold and hot water from the water dispenser at the entrance of the hotel.
There is also a microwave which is very handy if you want to heat up your food. You can eat in the front yard where there are some tables.
Since the hotel is not by the main road it is also quiet all the time. It was a plus in our trip to stay there. Thanks"

"The staff were incredibly welcoming, polite, and helpful, guiding me through everything and explaining clearly. Even though my English isn't great, they patiently listened to me through a translator. The administrator even recommended a fantastic white-sand beach in Phuket. The room was relatively clean. The only downside to my room was the low ceiling, but that's probably because it was on the top floor, and for the price, it was a perfectly decent option. The location is super convenient, with great infrastructure. Everything is within walking distance. The area itself is lively, but the room was quiet. A huge plus was the stunning panoramic view from the window. For such a low price, this is an absolutely luxurious choice! 👍"

"You get what you pay for. Clean room, pleasant staff. The pool was not swimmable, and the hotel is beside a coca cola depot with a cell tower 100m away. If you need a place to stay with a comfortable bed, you are close to the night market and it will definitely fit your needs. Great for a 2* hotel."

"Stayed there for a week and really enjoyed it.
So close to 2 beaches - Kata and Karon, about 5 and 10 minutes. Convenient stores are close.
On the first floor there’s a bar with a variety of beverages.
The hotel staff is amazing, they were always so polite and ready to help.
Hotel is clean, comfortable, not noisy even though it’s located on the main street. I liked that in the corridor there were nice reading zones where you could pick a book to read in different languages, very cozy."

"There is no hair dryer in the room. And very uncomfortable stairs. It was hard to bring the luggage to the 5th floor and hard to bring it down. Also you plan your day not to come back to the room too often because of those stairs 🤣 7/11 is on the corner , bit need to cross the road. It's bot super loud from the road even my balcony was facing the main road. If it's a room for 2 why, don't you bring 2 similar plastic chairs to the balcony?))) After all for this price it was okay. If price would be higher, I wouldn't stay without an elevator, a hairdryer, and a pool, and there is a reconstruction next door, all the building being under renovation , so it's very noisy all day long."

"Excellent budget hotel with a great location. All amenities are within walking distance, it's only a 3-minute walk to the sea, and there are cafes, shops, fruit stalls, and massage parlors everywhere. It's open 7/12, highly recommended, and very clean. They cleaned every day, but I'd recommend requesting a 2nd or 3rd floor room when booking. Initially, I was put on the 5th floor, and there's no elevator, so it was tough climbing. However, for a small extra charge, they moved me to the 2nd floor."

"The location is perfect if you’re someone who enjoys Patong—right next to Bangla Road, yet you can still sleep peacefully without any noise. Personally, I disliked everything else about Patong: overpriced, overcrowded, noisy, and full of all sorts of unpleasant characters from every nationality. The only good thing about Patong was this hotel. The lady at the reception is definitely not rude—she’s an absolute sweetheart. This place is very underrated, and I recommend it to everyone."

"Located between two bars, the door has the Sundiva logo on it to help guide you. I think most people who come to Sundiva have trouble finding it because of its small entrance, but it gets wider once you go inside. Great place overall!"

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later).
But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform.
Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this.
A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq !
Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste.
Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong
There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine.
Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

AAnonymous User********* the Burmese woman made the stay unpleasant and uncomfortable for myself and multiple other guests. @Owner, consider replacing this employee with a Thai person who has customer service skills. Promote someone in the group that comes in to cook breakfast and clean. Cleaning should be prioritized to a higher degree - the floors and bathrooms are cleaned once per day. There is black mold growing from standing water in the second floor bathroom. This place has potential to be great, but lack of management has it going downhill quick.

IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature).
While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order.
But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny.
Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.”
After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime.
This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol.
I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high?
In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out.
I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average.
P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

GGuest UserIt's a cute hotel tugged in the local community. A walk to Karon beach was fun and not too long. We passed multiple streetfood vendors in the morning and some massage places with auntie masseuses with good sense of humor. 7-11 is nearby. When we stayed, we didn't have any problems with noises from the street nor wild guests. Mostly little kids jumping into the pool during hot afternoon and that was actually fun to hear.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. 5 stars for them.
The room we stayed was spotless clean. Obviously, the hotel has had recently a renovation. However, some system work needs attention beyond what the staff could handle on daily basis as our room on the first floor got some ordor from the drainage for a few minutes when the ventilation was not good like the AC was off or we just got back to the room from outside. But other than that, it was fine.
The hotel asks you to put the sign requesting a room service. Without the sign up, they won't enter your room. Not a problem for us, but it took a day until we realized the notification sign on the entrance door. This is a good effort we can all participate to be a bit more suatainable on this beautiful island.
One thing I would highly recommend for the hotel is to install drinking water fountain on site and some reusable bottles in the rooms. This can reduce so much garbage for the island and enough drinking water supply for the guests. Phuket is really really hot and complimentary two bottle per day lasted less than 5 minutes for us. It'd be nice to have a fountain where we could get more water during the night.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay and worth the money.

BBjörn AbroadThey have a bad habit of turning off their water. I was just now having a shower, shaving my head, and the water in the shower stopped. I had to walk downstairs to the reception with nothing but a towel and soapy head to ask them to turn on the water. they did so. however... When I exited the shower to brush my teeth, the water had stopped again! I waited at the reception but it seems they were hiding from me. I called The hotel number and they came downstairs. I questioned why they keep turning the water off. they just apologized and turned it back on. I don't shower profusely long. why does this hotel have a problem turning on their water? I think I know the answer... Because they have a leaky tap! I think that instead of repairing the tap, they'd rather just turn off the water...

TTW2024Staff look a bit shy and quiet. Booked a Family Room with 3 beds and got room 6 on 2nd floor next to the stairs. Direct beach and restaurant are at the back of the resort. At night they and resorts nearby have dinner tables so the beach is lit and lively. Early in the morning they don’t set up yet so it’s very good to walk, run and exercise there. They’re having a renovation. Room 6 had very strong paint smell. Water faucets are usable so they don’t change yet. Hose spray for toilet is on the right and you will twist your body to hang it on the left. Coffee making table, clothes cabinet and safe box are inside the bathroom with walls to separate. Drain hole is near the wall of the toilet so when we shower, the toilet room is wet too. Wall mount shower gel and shampoo. Bring your tooth brush set as most places in Thailand don’t give. Water drains slow a bit but not clogged. Other rooms on ground floor are being renovated also. It’s a small resort in the shape of a town house and they have a small lane to walk to the beach. Next to that lane are 3 or 4 guest rooms on ground floor. If you need the best room, it’s on 2nd floor at the end and you have 2 large beds, a separate large room with microwave, table with 4 chairs at the balcony overlooking the beach. Other guests can walk to this balcony too. View is the sea and the roof of the beach front restaurant. Room 6 has a table & 2 chairs outside the room so when you smoke and eat, expect to see other guests walking pass. Tops convenience store is on the other side of the street. Many shops, restaurants and food stalls on this street.
The resort is at the end of this small beach town & next to the National Park. Walking about 30 minutes towards the park direction, we saw a tiny coral islet and we crossed the coral underwater way from main beach to that islet. Wear aqua shoes as it’s impossible to walk with bare feet. Water level is around waist line. The main beach has a strip of sand running towards that tiny islet and the other side has high sand. Very beautiful sunset. If you want to do that, go before 4pm because when it’s dark (after 6pm, mid October), there is almost no light in that zone and water starts to raise higher which means it’s more difficult to walk back from the tiny islet. The walk is short with strong waves. Water is warm.

XXiaolian2019We actually stayed here for five consecutive days! It was a very pleasant stay, and I really wanted to write more! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The owner is Chinese and has been consistently upgrading the linens. The service was attentive; one night, our Indian neighbors were on a loud call at 2:30 AM, and the owner, contacted via WeChat, promptly resolved the issue! The guesthouse environment is very comfortable, with squirrels, cats 🐱, and other small animals! The sea is right outside the door, as is a local night market! The food stalls at the entrance are also affordable and delicious 😋! I loved it! And for only two to three hundred during peak season, the price is unbeatable!!
