"It’s a beautiful hotel, but location was not good. I encountered a problem with a dishonest employee in the reception/ concierge. I asked the employee to help me book a trip by train from Tashkent to Samarkand. He started searching on his mobile for a ticket for a trip on Saturday 14 June. He told me it would cost me UZS650,000. I was able to open the Uzbek railway website to discover the ticket prices is UZS 141,000 for a single ticket. When I confronted him he said he was trying to book me a suite for two people. I checked the price for the suite and found it UZS 500,000 only. Then I told him to buy me a single ticket which he did and paid for it using his credit card. When I try to pay him UZS 141,000. He asked me to pay him UZS 200,000 and asked him why and he said it’s for his efforts. Anyway, I paid him UZS 200,000."
