"This stay was fantastic! The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station and shopping areas, making getting around and shopping a breeze. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with soft and comfortable bedding and excellent blackout curtains – I got a great night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to answer questions and quick to respond. The breakfast had a rich variety of fresh options. The value for money here is unbeatable; I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town!"

"The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to tourist spots like March Street and the North Gate vegetable market. Plus, there's a ton of great food right downstairs, so you'll never go hungry! 😂 The owner is also incredibly helpful. The only downsides are that the hot water takes forever to heat up; I have to wait almost 5 minutes just to wash my face, and showering is practically impossible because the water just doesn't get hot enough. The AC also occasionally breaks down. 😂 Overall, everything else was really satisfying; it's just the hot water and AC that need improvement. 🙏 It's also quite Muslim-friendly! 👍"

Environment: The environment is especially good, and this little courtyard has a really nice vibe.
Service: The service is absolutely, incredibly, unbelievably good! I especially love the auntie and uncle here. We arrived quite late, and on the first night, they stayed up late to pick us up and make sure we were settled before going to sleep. They also sent us recommendations for itineraries and routes to explore. The room was clean and comfortable, the heating was ample, and the bathroom was also spotless. Most importantly, the auntie was constantly helping us out. I'm incredibly grateful! I highly recommend everyone to stay at this guesthouse; it's genuinely, truly, really great. And the location is super convenient too. It's easy to go out for a stroll or visit Erhai Lake. Especially for finding food or taking walks. All in all, I highly, highly recommend it!!"

"Environment: Located on the edge of Dali Ancient Town, it is quite convenient to enter the ancient town. Parking is also quite convenient, parked in the yard next door.
Hygiene: Maybe there are not many people staying, the hotel's quilt covers, towels, etc. can be seen to be changed normally. But the shower window may be a blind spot in the hygiene, and the dust is a bit serious.
When I stayed in the hotel, it happened that the local firewood was burned for cooking, and the smoke was a bit heavy. My husband's allergic rhinitis was a bit uncomfortable.
Facilities: There is a small garden on the first floor of the inn. The red umbrella stool on the official website is actually not there. At first I thought it was a small courtyard with wind! The toilet paper is a little small, I don’t know if it is originally small or I didn’t have time to change it. I went to the bathroom twice, and it was gone when I wanted to use it the next day. The store owner looked for it for a long time and couldn’t find it 😂 so he gave us his own napkins. The hot water output speed is still good, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all available, but the shampoo didn’t soak 🤣 Fortunately, I brought my own. Maybe the room we booked was cheaper, the room was not a regular square, and the TV was diagonally facing the bed.
I didn't have time to take pictures, I can only say that the price was cheap."

"This is a nice hotel close to South Gate of Old Town. Didi cars cannot reach the hotel though so you have to drag your luggage along the unforgiving cobblestone for around 8-10mins. It is hidden in a short alleyway so it wasn't obvious. There is also no lifts to treasure you to the upper floors. Those with mobility issues beware. Nonetheless not a problem as someone will help you take the luggage upstairs. It made me feel guilty to see someone lifting my heavy luggage up 3 floors though. The room and view from the rooftop is beautiful. The location is convenient"

The best point is the people running the hostel. Helpful and caring. Every night they will build a small fireplace and you could sit and chat with others. She helped me with buying my bus ticket and made sure I took the right bus to my next destination. You just have to ask if you need assistance or tips."

"Great location, just next to the bus stop from the main Dali city. 5 min walk to the old town which was excellent as the old town was super busy and noisy so the guesthouse was out of the hustle and bustle. ¥7 for the washing machine and there’s plenty of places to dry clothes.
We had a private room and bathroom which was quite spacious. The curtains were sheer in sections so it wasn’t 100% dark but it was still easy to sleep.
There was lots of chill out sections; table tennis table, gym, yoga studio with mats, hammocks near a fish pond and an excellent rooftop patio with views of both the mountains and the old town.
The manager was super helpful with everything. Assisted us with electric scooter rentals for ¥50 for the whole day."

LLiimm11I’ve been to many holidays and I rarely leave reviews, but this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. The service was impeccable and cannot be compared to other accommodations. There was 6 of us and 4 of us stayed in a family room, while the other 2 stayed in a couple room. There was enough space for all our big luggages.
Both rooms were clean, neat and great. The views were amazing as well. We stayed in the winter, but the room heater was strong and the bed had a heating function too. The cleaner cleans the room everyday and tops up all the water, toothbrush etc.
The surrounding area near the homestay is good, with a tourist attraction just 5 minutes away on foot. It’s very easy to call a DiDi near the homestay, and it is located in a very convenient district.
The owners were very nice, they gave us fruits upon arrival and even topped up our rooms with water as the air was very dry. The owner even brought us to a nearby restaurant and the food was so good, my family and I went back twice.
Although there was no elevator, but the service was extremely good at the homestay and the owners helped us with all our baggages. As we are foreigners, the staff recommended food and visiting places in Dali, and went above and beyond by helping us to book a car for our day trip around Erhai Lake at a reasonable cost. Even after our stay, they helped us to charter a car to Lijiang as well.
I highly recommend this homestay. The experience I had during my time here has left a very positive experience on our trip to Yunnan. The owners are very friendly and are willing to help you with any queries you have. I will make sure to recommend this homestay to my acquaintances and if I ever visit Dali in the future I would definitely book this homestay again!

This was by far the cleanest room I've stayed in throughout Yunnan – absolutely no strange odors, so anyone worried about hygiene can book with confidence. There wasn't a whisper of noise, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. But the real highlight was the service! Even before we arrived, the owner proactively contacted us with directions and tips to avoid common tourist traps. Upon arrival, he gave us a complimentary room upgrade and shared an incredibly detailed itinerary, including taxi advice, which saved us so much hassle. He patiently answered all our questions. The location is also super convenient; a taxi to Erhai Lake or the Cangshan cable car was less than 10 RMB, and the pedestrian street is just a 10-minute walk away. We could catch a taxi just a few meters down the road, which is a huge plus since many parts of the old town center are car-free, and some spots require a 10-minute walk just to find a cab. I could go on and on about all the good things! At check-out, we even received two wonderful souvenirs. If I ever return, I will definitely, definitely, definitely choose this place again. Finally, I wish the owner a prosperous business!

GGuest UserI booked two nights next to the ancient city of Dali. After staying there for one night, my kids said it was not fun just to walk around. I canceled the reservation at midnight and booked a hotel at Time Inn next to the ancient city. After arriving, I felt that both kids were very satisfied. The courtyard is very beautiful and warm, and the boss sister is very enthusiastic (their family came here from their hometown in Chongqing to play here before, but they couldn't take care of it and so they ended up living here permanently). We originally only booked it for one night, but the kids didn't have enough fun and stayed here for two days in a row. ! The eldest brother likes to eat the dinner cooked by the boss very much, it is delicious! (He had a bit of a problem with his mouth, but he said it tasted delicious. It must be better than what I made😋) About 100 meters away is Erhai Lake. We went cycling as soon as we arrived. I accidentally broke my knee, and the boss bought me iodine and povidone. He took anti-inflammatory ***** and enthusiastically took my two children to play on the beach. I was very touched! On the third day today, after having dinner with my sister's family, we rode the boss's tricycle to go for a walk on the Erhai Lake. Bashi's board! In the future, when we come to Erhai Lake, we will still book at my sister’s house. It’s very comfortable! (The tricycle is owned by the owner, so you don’t need to pay for it.) All kinds of travel ladies will arrange a comfortable one for us. We must give it a big thumbs up 👍

The attention to detail truly impressed me; slippers and mineral water were thoughtfully provided for four people without even having to ask. What's more, the guesthouse owner was once an excellent border soldier, and the lobby is filled with books, exuding a calm, scholarly atmosphere. It felt incredibly safe and relaxing. GGuest UserAbsolutely thrilled with our stay! My child attended a summer camp nearby, and we stayed at this B&B for a week. The owner has an electric scooter, which made dropping off and picking up my child for camp incredibly convenient every day. Plenty of local eateries close by meant all three meals were a breeze. Wuweisi Temple is not far from the B&B, and it's only a ten-to-fifteen-minute ride to Cangshan Cloud Grassland and Erhai Lake.
The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large bathtub, which was perfect for a relaxing soak after the kids returned from camp.
The view was absolutely stunning. From the room, you could see both Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, and working from the bay window every day was a real pleasure.
The soundproofing was also excellent. Usually, when I stay at B&Bs in towns or villages, I worry about traffic noise, but the soundproofing here was superb. Apart from the garbage truck cheerfully singing its way past downstairs at 8:30 AM, you couldn't hear any neighbor's voices or other car sounds from the room.
The small courtyard was beautiful, and the owner has a friendly little dog named Zaizai who was very fond of the children.

He offered us invaluable local advice which truly helped us avoid tourist traps and ”踩坑” – allowing us to experience the real Dali seamlessly.
The hotel itself is impeccable. Our room and the overall environment were very well-maintained, clean and surprisingly spacious, offering great comfort.
What truly exceeded all expectations was Boss Zhou's personalized service. Not only did he generously offer us an early check-in, but he even personally came to pick us up! To our delight, he also upgraded us to the largest room for free. This level of care and hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
Highly, highly recommended for anyone visiting Dali. It feels like staying with a helpful friend rather than just at a hotel. Thank you for making our trip so special!

The location is also super good (everything in town is walkable from here).
The owner is just a lovely guy, super friendly, chill, happy to help you and to share some good moments with you (despite the language barrier, but it worked well with a translator).
We met some of the owner's friends and we shared so much time all together, everyone was so welcoming with us, one of the best memory of our travel.

MMargauxTI booked a studio on the 3rd for 2 nights and was so disappointed that it was surprisingly not available when I arrived. They gave me another room, clean and comfortable but on the ground floor with no natural light and right besides the reception where people have been loud until late. The next day I discovered the room I initially booked was occupied by other guests. As long as they were leaving, I insisted on changing so I could have the room for the 2nd night, it was wonderful. That's too bad that this happened, rooms shouldn't be sold online if it's not available anymore.. I would have given a 10/10 if only I had the room I booked since the beginning
