"very friendly and helpful staffs. they will ask for adding friend on Wechat which they could provide very useful tips during your stay in a hotel and travel advice around datong. you can ask for exchange small banknote for hopping on a local bus which is troublesome for foreigner that doesn't have chinese phone number to register for virtual bus card （易通卡）on alipay or wechat unlike in big city eg. Shanghai, Guangzhou that can use passport no. to register.
It would be nice if they provide some bathmat to rub wet feet after using the bathroom.
The hotel is located near the bell tower which is near Huayan temple and Dai wang mansion."

"This hotel is really great! The couple's service attitude is super good, the hotel has free parking, and the check-in is also very fast. The hotel facilities are great, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the sleep is super comfortable😊. The most surprising thing is that the transportation here is well connected. There are supermarkets, restaurants, and bus stations downstairs. In general, the service and facilities of this hotel are very satisfactory. "The location is super close to the ancient city, you can basically bike to all the attractions you want to see there. The environment is great, and the auntie cleans the common areas spotlessly every day. She's also very enthusiastic and gives recommendations for nearby sights. The facilities are complete, and I especially loved having multiple shower stalls! The female dorm even has a dedicated vanity area, which is amazing. The only small issue was that the Wi-Fi on part of the second floor of the female dorm was a bit spotty. I originally booked for four nights, but I loved Datong so much that I extended my stay for another night to get some good rest. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong!"

"The room is quite big and new, big enough for a family to stay in, clean and comfortable, with convenient parking. There are many restaurants nearby, not far from Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple. The only drawback is that the prices are a bit high during May Day holiday."

"Our experience at this hotel was wonderful. Since we arrived everything was perfect. The room was perfectly cleaned and fully equipped with everything that we needed. The hotel is located just in the city centre, with two convenience stores right next to it.
The best part was the staff. They are lovely and charming. We had a really good time with them in the afternoon speaking with the translator. They even gave us tea and offered cigars.
I truly recommend this place to enjoy your trip in Datong"

"The place was really nice and clean, but the room was way too small. We had to put our suitcases in the bathroom shower and hang our jackets under the showerhead.
We're adaptable travelers, but we couldn't stand on the floor with two people at once.
These are also experiences; the room was described as ”comfortable.”
In any case, the cleanliness was top-notch and the staff were friendly, but if you have claustrophobia and don't travel light, consider something else."

"I was really happy with my stay in the king room this time! The room was much bigger than I expected, and the soft bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep in. The hygiene was also top-notch; there were no water stains or strange smells in the room, and hot water was available instantly. It was super quiet at night, couldn't hear any noise from outside. During breakfast, the staff proactively greeted us, and they even offered Datong specialty noodles (shaomai and lamb offal soup). The lady at the front desk was super nice; check-in was very fast, and she patiently answered all my questions about Datong's local specialties and attractions. The overall stay was excellent, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town!"

GGuest UserI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

NNoodle KnightLocation is near Datong Ancient City Wall, quite convinient if you want to walk to go inside ancient city. Near hotel there are restaurant and mini market, location is not difficult to find. Room is very neat and tidy, technology of the hotel room is really cool, when you put turn the electricity of the room, the curtain will automaticly close, lamp near the sink will automaticly light when you walk near. Really awesome!
Also receptionist lady is very friendly, there are free self serving laundry too! You can go to building beside hotel in the morning to get breakfast using breakfast coupon. You will be budgeted certain amount and can choose variety of food there. There are sausage, noodles, soup, porridge, and hot drinks. We stay during winter, so hot soup during cold weather is the best. This is worth the price for 3* hotel!

JJames56We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good.
Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around.
What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge!
If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

GGuest UserWe went to Datong for the Qingming festival and decided to stay here. It was quite nice as we were well located and the hotel is done in a modern and clean style. Our room was on the fifth floor. I saw some comments about noise levels and how the walls were thin but we had no issue in the matter and the hotel was fully booked out so we would’ve noticed it very easily if it was noisy. The only area that you would hear anything is from the hallway but that’s normal in most hotels. The only thing that wasn’t the best was the shower. The big shower head was cracked so the water would spray in different directions. But the room was spacious and clean I would still recommend it to anyone, and especially datong, it’s a great city and the people there are so kind.

There's no stuff there so I had to ask for help to a guy just walking through the street to get in as I needed a code and they weren't answering me throw the app, tried to call them but hunged up when I talked in English.. but a part from that everything was good!

YYinyin6677The room was spacious, equipped with a coffee table, sofa, fridge, and a kettle. There was even an electric stove and a range hood, so you could cook your own meals. Downstairs, there's a convenience store, and right outside, you'll find a bus stop on the main road. Across the street is a four-star hotel, and you can even see the ancient city walls right from your room window.

SShuanghemobaiI saw many hotels and said that there were local black bugs in the house. I was very afraid of bugs. His family did not reflect that there were bugs. It was very close to the ancient city and had large windows. We liked to walk. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the east gate. It's good to stroll around.
The front desk was serious and responsible. I found a small problem at night and came to the room to solve it in time. It was hard work.

VVSTWe enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍
This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14.
Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan.
