"Convenient location, just 200 m from the border gate building, with plenty of small restaurants in the neighbourhood, and a 5 minute walk to a nice riverside cafe.
The room was elegant and spotless, almost deserving the ”Marriott” name ;-).

"The location was perfect: a few minutes walking from the border, good cheap food and a night market around the corner and a China Unicom shop to get a sim card is next door. The staff is great too. They helped me set up and verify my WeChat account and hailed down a metered taxi to the train station (13 yuan) when I didn't find a ride on Didi. A con of this place was the smell of smoke in the room (as long as the window was open it was fine) and the mold in the bathroom. But nothing too bad and a good place to stay for a night."

"The location is very good. It is on Vietnam Street. It is a hundred meters away from the port and the rice track. There is also an old train station and the uprising memorial. This location is very cheap and there is nothing to fault. Hot water and air conditioning are available. The room is large. The disadvantage is that there is no elevator, but for me, it is not a big problem. #Location traffic is very good, just in Vietnam Street"

"The home-cooked food offered looked delicious, but being vegetarian, sadly I couldn't try it. The hosts were beyond helpful, going to great lengths to help me sort out transportation problems with by ebike, after I discovered there was no luggage consignment available at Hekou North train station. They were willing to store my bike for free until I returned, but in the end managed to organise transport to Lijiang with a local logistics company which I would never have found myself, after all the major firms refused. Can't praise them enough - wonderful people."

"Great location, right in the heart of the main attractions. Everything is within walking distance, so no need for taxis.
The hotel seems to be an older property that's been renovated, giving it a 'new wine in an old bottle' vibe, but the value for money is still pretty good.
You can see the Sino-Vietnamese Railway Bridge directly across the street when you step out."

"I arrived at the room around 4 PM, and it was damp everywhere. The room was small, and the previous guest hadn't cleaned it up. They hadn't brought my toiletries; I told them to wait a bit while I was in the bathroom when I knocked, but they just barged in and pushed open the bathroom door. Luckily, I had already used them. It was a terrible experience; I'll definitely avoid this room next time."

SSergiovrIt's a decent hotel. Simple and inexpensive, but it has all the basic necessities. It's very close to the border and next to a street with plenty of restaurants. The only problem I see is for people who aren't in good physical condition or elderly people, as it doesn't have an elevator and has six floors. This wasn't a problem for us, but it might be a good indicator for others.

This tropical hotel I stayed at completely exceeded my expectations; it was an absolute gem!
The hotel's environment was impeccable. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, with trees in full bloom everywhere, a gentle breeze carrying the delicate fragrance of flowers, and the melodious chirping of birds – it felt like staying in a natural oxygen bar, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing my mind and body to relax instantly. The cleanliness was also reassuring. The room was spotless, the bedding was white, soft, and odorless, and every detail – the bathroom, desks, and corners – was impeccably clean. Even the tables and chairs on the terrace were dust-free, demonstrating the staff's dedication.
The view was absolutely stunning! Opening the balcony door revealed a vast expanse of tropical coconut palms, with the azure coastline visible in the distance. Waking up to the sunrise and watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of orange and pink – every snapshot was a masterpiece, requiring no filter. Whether enjoying tea on the room's terrace or relaxing by the hotel's panoramic pool, the soothing tropical scenery is simply breathtaking!
The location is also a huge plus; you can see the Red River from your window and Vietnam across the river. Transportation is convenient, and you can easily step outside to experience tropical streets and sample local delicacies. In short, the environment, cleanliness, and scenery are all impeccable. I'll definitely stay here again on my next tropical trip!

The reception staff is very good at translation. The staff is friendly. There is an elevator. It's quiet and well-located. It's a shame that people smoke in public areas such as the elevator and hallways.

GGuest UserI came on a business trip and found this nice hotel. It is located near Vietnam City, which is convenient for visiting Vietnam City. It is a little far from the city center and takes about 10 minutes by taxi. The room environment is good, the bathroom is spacious, and the price is very high. There are only one or two restaurants nearby, and it is almost impossible to find a place to have a midnight snack after 9pm. Everything else is ok, overall satisfied

The WiFi works well. The remote control does not seem to be the one intended for the television.
There is a kettle and we are provided with bottles of water. There is also a water bottle in the hallway.
My room was cleaned quickly because there were traces left at the exit of the bathroom.
You have to be athletic because my room is on the 6th floor without an elevator.
It is difficult to talk to the staff who only speak Chinese even with the translation tools.
But for the price it is really very good.

GGuest UserVery convenient in every aspect, good. It is very close to the Hekou Port, the Hekou Meter Gauge Railway Laohekou Station and the pedestrian street. It is prosperous but quiet, but you have to go up and down a steep slope. Haha, it is a good exercise.
