"The owner proactively contacted us, directed us to parking, and even helped with our luggage. The room was exactly as pictured online, with a beautifully decorated style. All the facilities were cozy and the cleanliness was impeccable!
The surrounding transportation is extremely convenient. The soundproofing was excellent; after shopping, the underfloor heating made the room very warm, and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. I slept very soundly and even felt a little reluctant to get out of bed the next day. The owner is truly thoughtful. Next time I travel, I will definitely choose Yunman Holiday Inn again."

"The owner is incredibly kind. They messaged us before we even arrived, offering to pick us up from the North Gate of the ancient city. The room was also really nice, and for the price, it's excellent value for money. There's a sightseeing cart right outside that can take you anywhere in the ancient city, and it's also a pleasant, short walk back to the guesthouse. The owner patiently explained how to best explore the ancient city, and even gave us a bottle of vinegar when we checked out – truly wonderful! The courtyard is also very beautiful."

"This stay at the guesthouse was absolutely fantastic! The owner was incredibly warm and kind. When I arrived at the entrance to the ancient city, he immediately rode his electric scooter to help me with my luggage and even gave me a ride – so convenient! The location was also superb, very close to Xiaonanmen (South Gate), making getting around incredibly convenient.
They even upgraded my room for free upon check-in, and kindly extended my check-out time during the off-season. When I checked out, my train was late, and I wanted to stay a little longer for a little extra, but the owner readily agreed and let me continue resting without any extra charge.
Communication was smooth and efficient with any issues; the responses were prompt and thoughtful. He treated me like a friend throughout, providing excellent value and a fantastic experience. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended!"

"Stayed for three consecutive nights, the most favorite is the breakfast of the Huazhuhui Chain Hotel, a dozen cold dishes ＋ hot dishes with staple foods light nutrition and health. The bedding is also very comfortable to sleep. The only drawback is that the smart toilet is the most unbearable. Which ** design is flushed when you want to sit down. Even if the water pressure is low, there is always a splash, the whole person's mood is very irritable! How much harm is the infection caused by bacteria splashing on the toilet for women? In fact, the ordinary toilet is very good, the smart toilet is really a flaw, and there is no effect at all! ! ! I don't know if I have the same feelings as me. The whole house was cleaned spotlessly, the bathroom was separated from wet and dry, the smart toilet felt great, and the hot water was stable and sufficient. Guest UserThe whole family with the elderly and children stayed in Qichen, and the experience exceeded expectations! The courtyard is spacious and safe, the children can run freely, the room space is sufficient, the bed is comfortable to sleep, the hygiene is particularly in place, and the elderly are very satisfied. The housekeeper prepared fruit intimately, took the initiative to help carry large luggage, planned the easy parent-child play route in detail, and avoided the crowded crowd. The homestay is quiet and not noisy, the quality of rest is very good, not far from the ancient city attractions, and travel is labor-saving. The whole is warm and homey, the whole family likes it very much, and the first choice for family travel is Qichen Boutique B&B!

ZailushangdezhuzhuThis hotel is a protected heritage site, the former residence of a *piaohao* (draft bank) founder, so it retains its original architectural style. The doors and windows, in particular, are incredibly atmospheric, and when the lanterns light up at night, you feel instantly transported back in time. The rooms are super clean, with linens changed after every guest. My elderly parents especially loved the *kang* (heated bed-platform). Coming to Pingyao, you really need to experience this kind of unique accommodation to get the full feel. The owner is incredibly nice; he picked us up from the station and gave us tips on what to do and things to watch out for. It was a delightful trip!

The inn is a historical building. The two-in-one courtyard is just behind the Majia compound. We are busy taking pictures as soon as we arrive. We live in ”childish”. Although there is no separation of dry and wet, we love it. It is sunny. In the morning, we see the sun and wine. It is very energetic.
The boss is a young guy, the people are very good, because the old-fashioned lock is necessary to go out, others can not enter the house, so they trouble the boss to send supplies in the cabin, go back to get it at night. The homestay originally only had one pick-up or delivery service, and then the boss also picked up and sent it. Also help with the management. Great.

I arrived for two nights and stayed for a week! The family is lovely, and the manager helps you with everything. Always very helpful and polite. I will definitely return! This is a true guesthouse experience, not a polished chain hotel, and that is exactly its charm. The room was large, with plenty of furnishings, a big king bed, and a nice courtyard setting. Sure a few things were slightly old, broken, or not quite perfect, but that simply added to the character and human feel of the place. The mattress was quite firm and I slept very well.
What really made this stay special was the family. The mother was incredibly kind and helpful, taking the time to provide a map, sightseeing advice, and an efficient walking route to help me see the key highlights of Pingyao while minimising unnecessary walking. Later I met the son and daughter-in-law, who were both equally warm and friendly, and the son very kindly drove me to the train station the next day, which was greatly appreciated.
Breakfast was simple but perfectly good, and exactly what was needed before more exploration of the town.
This was not luxury accommodation, but it offered something far more memorable, genuine hospitality, kindness, and a personal touch. I would happily stay here again.

I was very fortunate to choose Glory Homestay for my trip to Pingyao. Although it's outside the ancient city, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, just a 5-6 minute walk to the entrance, avoiding the hassle of traffic control within the ancient city. The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was so soft I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The owner is a 20-year veteran who was incredibly welcoming. He not only helped plan the route but also recommended many local favorites. The prices were very reasonable, only a few dozen yuan – truly excellent value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here!

We booked two rooms together. The owner helped us with our luggage at the entrance of the old town. Upon entering, he offered us homemade wine and vinegar to try, which we found quite nice. The rooms were nice, with a rest area on the first floor and a sleeping area on the second. I would definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

The host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather.
It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.
