The best experience in China! Perfect for family travelI traveled with my mother and my son, and this hotel made our trip to Pingyao truly unforgettable. It is the perfect place to live and feel what ancient China was like, but with all the modern comforts.The service is exceptional: they picked us up for free from the train station and, upon arrival, gave us a detailed breakdown of the tourist attractions using a map. As if that weren't enough, they gave us a free upgrade to a much more expensive room without charging us anything extra. It was an incredibly generous gesture.The hotel is extremely clean, the bedsheets are an absolute dream to rest on, and the air conditioning works wonderfully (which is vital when traveling with children and seniors). Additionally, they rented us an electric scooter at a super affordable price, which allowed us to explore the city with total comfort. It has a genuinely cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We recommend it 100% for families!

During the Chinese New Year, I decided to visit the renowned Pingyao Ancient City and carefully chose the Yushe Boutique Hotel. The day before our arrival, someone from the hotel contacted us to offer a pick-up service and even sent us a detailed list of suggestions for exploring the ancient city – truly thoughtful! The owner's sister, who picked us up, meticulously introduced us to the history of the ancient city and current conditions over the next two days. Upon arrival, the owner's brother was equally thorough, demonstrating the diligent character typical of Shanxi people! Our family of four's room was impeccable in terms of space, cleanliness, and bedding. Later, chatting with the owner, I learned they operate with the quality standards of Atour Hotels, which explained why the sleep was so comfortable. One evening, the water pressure for the kids' shower was a bit low. The next morning, I spoke to the owner's brother, who explained it was due to the high volume of tourists in the ancient city causing low water pressure. They later installed a booster pump and resolved the issue! Finally, before leaving, we bought some wine and vinegar from the owner after tasting them all – they were delicious. And to top it off, the owner kindly drove us to the train station! Many, many thanks! Five-star recommendation, a hotel with integrity and quality.

The inn is a historical building. The two-in-one courtyard is just behind the Majia compound. We are busy taking pictures as soon as we arrive. We live in ”childish”. Although there is no separation of dry and wet, we love it. It is sunny. In the morning, we see the sun and wine. It is very energetic. The boss is a young guy, the people are very good, because the old-fashioned lock is necessary to go out, others can not enter the house, so they trouble the boss to send supplies in the cabin, go back to get it at night. The homestay originally only had one pick-up or delivery service, and then the boss also picked up and sent it. Also help with the management. Great. I wish you a prosperous business!

Very good experience. The owners are friendly and provide pick up at the gate entrance. Pretty courtyard and the owners shared a lot of information on where to eat / shop at. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse to those wanting to visit Pingyao.

We had such a lovely experience at Zhengjia Inn! It was a little hard to find initially but the location is exceptional, right in the heart of the ancient city of Pingyao. There was no one on reception when we arrived but we managed to call through the Trip.com app and they came out right away to help us check in. The hotel is gorgeous with a very traditional style, a lovely sunny courtyard and big rooms. The best part of our stay here was the hospitality of the family who run this hotel. They were so kind and generous! They annotated a map for us to show us where to go and how to get there, they made us a Western style breakfast in the morning and let us eat in their own home, and they very kindly drove us to the train station when we had to leave the next day. They were very friendly, kind and patient with us as we don't speak Mandarin. The bed was quite hard because it is a very thin mattress on top of wood so it might not suit people with bad backs, but it was fine for us! We would highly recommend this hotel!

The courtyard is very nice, which is the highlight. It is a little far from the main area. If you are tired of walking around, you can't avoid spending money to take a bus back to the hotel. The facilities in the B&B room are a bit old, the bathroom is very small, and the design of the space is a bit difficult to turn around. The bed is not covered with a quilt on the bed sheet. The quilt is folded. I didn't dare to sleep directly, so I spread the bed sheet I brought with me.

I was very fortunate to choose Glory Homestay for my trip to Pingyao. Although it's outside the ancient city, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, just a 5-6 minute walk to the entrance, avoiding the hassle of traffic control within the ancient city. The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was so soft I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The owner is a 20-year veteran who was incredibly welcoming. He not only helped plan the route but also recommended many local favorites. The prices were very reasonable, only a few dozen yuan – truly excellent value for money. I highly recommend everyone stay here!

Located right at the entrance to the old town, this hotel is a little gem. The staff is very friendly and upgraded our room. The room has everything you need. The shower was very good, with hot water and a good flow. The breakfast served at the restaurant next door was good!

The host were nice and friendly. They speak no English but they use and app for basic translations. The room is good value for money. Modern and clean, with good architectural finishes. They don't provide towels, shampoo and so. No air conditioner either, thou I asked for a fan and they gave it to me and it was perfect like that. Location wasn't so easy to find, the access road can be either dusty or muddy depending on the weather. It's about 15 minutes walk to the north gate of ancient Pingyao city wall. I would recommend specially to couples as it's the same price as for solo travellers. (I guess the price is per room) They didn't ask for a deposit as written in their policies, which is a plus. I attach a plan explaining how to best get there. Recommended.

We chose the most basic room, and honestly, the price is unbeatable. However, we found the bed to be very hard and there were no towels for the shower, only for the sink. But we assume that for the cheap price we paid, you can't ask for more. We believe that we probably wouldn't have had this problem in the superior rooms. The staff was pleasant and the hotel's location is good.
