It's also very close to Puer Station. Since I was driving, they were kind enough to let me leave my car keys at the front desk when I returned the rental car. Parking was super convenient too! The Hongshulin Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Pu'er, having been renovated in 2025. With Pu'er Simao Airport just 2km away and Pu'er Railway Station only 7km away, transportation is very convenient. With Simao Old Street, Shanfo Hall and Nationality Fengbei Statue all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling alone.

"This was my first time visiting Pu'er. During the holidays, I thought a hotel costing around 100 yuan would only get me a mediocre place, but after these few days, I feel it's excellent value for money. That's why I want to recommend this hotel to friends who plan to visit in the future, and that's why I'm offering some sincere suggestions to the owner. Advantages: 1. Good location, close to everything; 2. The room is very clean, and they clean it daily. They even folded my clothes a little because I had so many piled up; 3. Excellent service. They greeted me warmly every time I went up or down the stairs, which was very heartwarming. Disadvantages: 1. No disposable slippers. The owner is so thoughtful, even providing nail clippers, so why not disposable slippers? I really don't understand. 2. No hanging area. Why were my clothes piled up everywhere? Because there was practically no place to put them except on the bed. 3. No private parking. If you're driving, be prepared for parking difficulties. I didn't really want to mention this, because Pu'er is a city with good parking, and free parking is common. But I chose this hotel initially because it had parking."

I especially want to commend the staff; everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was incredibly warm and attentive. They patiently answered all my questions. "Location: Very close to the station airport city, convenient to travel, there are many snacks around (you love all kinds of noodles) ~ Hygienic: The bedding is very clean, the bathroom has no smell, and the aunt cleans regularly every day. Facilities: charging, storage, light strips, small fans, hair dryers are all available, I love the shower most, the bath is very comfortable ~ Public area: large, spacious and clean, board games, office, tea break areas are all available, and you can find comfortable nests for Sheniu She fear and livestock. ~ Atmosphere: Roommates are super loving, consciously soft and humble. The social atmosphere is friendly, and the meal is played in seconds. The boss is a live map, and the frequent grouping will definitely not let you idle ~ Insufficient: there is a chicken stew downstairs, a call for 2 hours in the middle of the night, sleep sensitive carefully choose the room facing the parking lot."

The location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view. It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark. The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable. She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.

The environment was very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful view whwre you can see some of the sea of clouds. They give you disposable coverings for you to put on top of the fresh pillow bedding and mattress for extra hygiene which is a nice touch I haven't seen before. Bathroom is very clean, though there are only two toilets and two showers and two sinks, so do note that for busy season, but it wasn't an issue at all during my stay. They provided breakfast too, fresh milk the boss heated for me when I got up, and red sugar glutinous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (babas), and it was fun to get ready for the day with new friends on the balcony overlooking the village. I think the environment is very good for meeting new friends and other solo travelers- I arrived at the hostel randomly at the same time as three other girls, and we explored Manghong togetjer on the boss's recommendations for itinerary and sightseeing. And the next day the boss dropped us off at a tea roasting experience, and just as we were heading to Nuogan another girl from the hostel finished her tea roasting session, so we all went to Nuogan togetjer to play. The boss even helped load my luggage onto the shuttle bus so that it could pick me up at a sightseeing spot further down the mountain!

I would love to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Old Town of Chama. It may be a little tricky to find at first, but just follow Google Maps and you’ll get there easily. From the main gate of the Old Town, it’s only about a 5-minute walk. The hotel itself is quite new and very clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom facilities and appliances are all modern and high-quality. The soundproofing is excellent—although you might hear music and dancing outside, once inside the room it’s perfectly quiet. The location strikes a nice balance: slightly away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a few steps from plenty of food stalls and restaurants. What really makes this place special is the owners. They are a warm, welcoming family with parents, an elder sister, and two younger brothers. They don’t speak English, but communication was never a problem—we used Google Translate to chat over cups of delicious tea. If you need anything, you can always ask them. They are very friendly and genuinely do their best to help.

The luckiest decision on my trip to Wengji Ancient Village in Jingmai Mountain was choosing Guesthouse No. 69. This guesthouse, run by Brother Ni, didn't rely on flashy advertising, but its thoughtful details made every guest feel a warmth that exceeded expectations, becoming the most precious memory of the entire trip. The guesthouse's location is prime, situated in the heart of the ancient village, surrounded by cafes and specialty restaurants. The popular Beigui Coffee Shop is diagonally opposite, so whether you're looking for a cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious meal in the evening, you don't have to go far. Even more surprisingly, the room had its own small balcony, comfortable and cozy, so I decided to extend my stay. The room facilities were new, spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the pillows were especially good. Combined with the tranquility of the ancient village at night, it ensured a good night's sleep. A smart toilet and user-friendly shower facilities were all provided, and toiletries and other daily necessities were exceptionally complete, dispelling all my concerns about accommodation in the ancient village, making my stay comfortable. The owner's enthusiasm and his wife's thoughtfulness were also the most touching aspects of this trip. They were like long-lost friends, sharing travel tips for the ancient village, inviting us to sample their homemade Pu'er tea, and chatting warmly and sincerely. The guesthouse breakfast was a delightful surprise: flavorful rice noodles with plenty of ingredients, sweet corn, eggs from local free-range chickens, and refreshing grapes 🍇😋😋😋. The guesthouse also offers ethnic costume rental services, with exclusive discounts for guests. Wearing Bulang ethnic clothing and taking photos on the ancient village's cobblestone streets and beside old banyan trees instantly immerses you in the local atmosphere. The owner even took a break from his busy schedule to show us the sunrise and sea of clouds; the tranquility and healing away from the hustle and bustle were unforgettable. There's no commercial alienation here, only the warmth and comfort of home. Next time I visit Jingmai Mountain, I'll definitely return to this ”warm little home” hidden in the ancient village.

It's very convenient to get around. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Beigui Cafe to watch the sunrise. The rooftop platform has a great view with a panoramic vista of the beautiful scenery. The owner makes rice noodles every day with broth that she has cooked the day before as the base, which is very delicious.

Extremely satisfied! The place was clean and tidy, and the room was immaculate. The service was exceptional; it's rare to encounter such a wonderful owner who truly anticipates and addresses guests' needs. Absolutely fantastic! It's also quite close to the station, and the owner was very prompt with pick-up and drop-off, couldn't ask for more. Definitely a five-star review, highly recommend staying here. Looking for a place to stay to experience the tea aroma and evening breeze of Pu'er. The guesthouse's location is convenient for unloading luggage later in the day, as you can drive right in. The auntie is very kind, and I felt a warm, homely atmosphere. Nestled within the Ancient Tea Horse City, this courtyard guesthouse boasts bluestone paths and lush plants, effectively shielding it from the bustling streets. The architectural style blends Southern Yunnan characteristics, with wooden windows, tea tables, and courtyard views complementing each other, integrating the ancient charm of the Tea Horse Road into everyday life. My favorite time was the evening, sitting on the terrace, brewing a pot of Pu'er, and gazing at the ancient city lights in the distance. The room was clean and elegant, the hot water in the bathroom was stable, and the overall comfort was excellent. The owner is knowledgeable about local customs and shared tea-tasting insights, helping us avoid tourist traps. During the day, I strolled through the ancient city, exploring stories of the caravan. At night, I watched the bonfire song and dance, then easily returned to the quiet courtyard. No need to rush the itinerary; slowing down here is the best way to experience Pu'er.

The hotel is all wooden decoration, parking is convenient, free tea and red dates and white fungus porridge at the front desk, very delicious. Breakfast is very Chinese, no fried eggs and bread, but the staple food and stir-fried vegetables are very good, and there are sugar water poached eggs. The bean paste bag quicksand bag is not prefabricated, and the milk should be prefabricated milk powder. Zhenyu County is very small, and you can walk to all parts of the county quickly from the hotel. In short, although it is marked with 2 diamonds, the room facilities and services have actually reached the standard of at least 3 diamond hotels. It is recommended that Trip.com re-rating as soon as possible.

A very sweet family! We were immediately invited for tea, and I even tasted their homemade dragon fruit wine. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, well-prepared, and we also found them inexpensive. They're almost always around to help, but clearly have their own activities at the same time—a nice balance. The accommodation feels a bit like a small farm: there are several animals on site. They and the neighbors also have super sweet, affectionate dogs and a cat. They romp and play together all day long and love to come and visit. I absolutely fell in love with the neighbor's puppy. Price-wise, this place is really affordable compared to other accommodations in the area. The room is fine: not huge, but big enough (and you're mostly outside anyway). The bed is firm, which we actually appreciated. The toilet is a squat toilet and has hot water. The shared terrace is a highlight: a beautiful view of the mountains and the valley, and you look out onto the ”sea of clouds”—magical, especially in the morning. We didn't have a car, but we were able to rent a scooter here for 50 yuan a day. It was so much fun and made our stay even better than we could have imagined: the two of us explored the entire area. The bus stops about 1 km away, and for the return trip to Pu'er, they helped us with a shared ride. They're a truly warm family who plan your trip with you and are always willing to help. If we return, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you! P.S. Near the accommodation, there's also a family that sells homemade tea sets made with special clay. Highly recommended!

All the reviews are true, but it’s not the wooden building that causes it.  Yes, it is very loud and you hear everyone. We’ve stayed in other fully wooden places, it’s worse here. Maybe not the wood but the guests are the problem. Loud Chinese people, walking the stairs with the heaviest pace you can imagine. Maybe help the other guests by hanging some warnings on the stairs: please be mindful for the other guests when walking to your room.  Also loud Chinese tourist on the square below. Not only while eating they scream all over the place, also with the tea ceremony nobody asks them to please stop talking after 23:00/24:00. We were up till 02:00AM because of tea drinking Chinese people at the fire. We stayed in the suite, which is located above the fire pit. Maybe the other rooms are less noisy. At 7AM each morning, somebody ran down the stairs. We think it’s the staff. It wakes you up through your earplugs.  The staff is OK. They are very shy, not rude. They could be more pro active though as we didn’t feel like they wanted to do something.. which is different to rude but also not very friendly.  The other villages around are way bigger and less cozy than Wengji. Also, with this guesthouse being just next to the town, it was perfect to escape the tourists most of the time. We didn’t find other accommodations in Wengji with the same aesthetics as Shishi guesthouse so we can’t recommend other places better than this. Maybe if the guesthouse would invest in trying to keep the noise down under the various guests, with text signs or with clearer house rules (fire pit), the noise problem wouldn’t be as bad.  Maybe if they tried to enthusiast their staff more and keep them from watching Chinese drama shows on their phones all day, they would be a bit more welcoming.  We’ve met a lot of amazing people in Wengji, it’s definitely not the locals that have this behaviour.  Lastly, the suite has a cubicle bathroom in the room, they really don’t clean this well. It smells very bad and just feels dirty all over.  For comfort this place is too expensive, for the location and aesthetics you won’t find better options nearby.
