"Having stayed in many disappointing hotels on my numerous trips, I spent ages researching and reading reviews until my head spun before finally settling on Coconut Sea Time. This was my first time staying in an apartment, and I was so lucky! The apartment was clean, hygienic, and the furnishings were new. It was much more spacious and convenient than a hotel, and most importantly, there was absolutely no strange smell. You could even see the sea from the side. Two details really stood out:
1. My family has sensitive skin, and we often get itchy from hotel bedding. The duvet at Coconut Sea Time was dry and comfortable, and we slept wonderfully.
2. When I used the clothes drying rack on the balcony, I wiped it with a face towel, and it was absolutely spotless.
It truly shows that details make all the difference, and all those glowing reviews are well-deserved. The two young women who checked us in were also very attentive and responsible. Next time I visit, I won't need to do any research; I'll just come straight here.

"Our room was located on the 22nd floor of Jinmao Seaview Garden. Both the living room and the master bedroom offered direct, expansive views of Dadonghai. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the bay window and gaze out at the ocean. The balcony also had a washing machine, which made doing laundry very convenient. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit."

Our hotel is located at No. 16, Haiyun Road, Dadonghai Tourist Area, a well - known area in Sanya. It boasts an excellent geographical location. It’s adjacent to the Dadonghai Beach, and we offer beautiful sea - view rooms where you can enjoy the magnificent ocean view right from the balcony. It’s also near the Luhuitou Scenic Area, Summer Mall, Daboluo Commercial Area (No. 1 Harbor City), and Xiaodonghai. It’s just a short distance from the Dadonghai seaside.
The rooms are equipped with mini and simple kitchens and household utensils. (Note that the hotel front desk location might be slightly different from your check - in address, but they are all in close proximity. Single rooms are inside the hotel, while suites are in the residential community. Each suite type has multiple units with slightly different decorations. Some single rooms also have kitchens. There is a restaurant on the 5th floor of the hotel, offering classic cuisine at affordable prices. The hotel is located in the prime area of the Dadonghai Scenic Area. You can reach the beautiful coconut - lined beach and the natural seaside bathing area of Dadonghai in just a few minutes’ walk.

"We booked this guesthouse in Sanya for our trip to Dadonghai, at 16 Haiyun Road, and the location was absolutely perfect – super convenient for everything!
It's only about 200 meters from the beach, just a leisurely few-minute stroll in flip-flops. We could catch the sunrise in the morning and enjoy relaxing walks along the beach with the sea breeze in the evenings. The beach area is lively too, with people singing and stalls setting up. If you're craving seafood, you can just find a street-side stall right by the beach and enjoy your meal with the ocean breeze – truly delightful! 🦞
You don't have to worry about amenities downstairs either. There's a supermarket on B1, so if you need a bottle of water or some snacks, just take the elevator down. Right outside the guesthouse, both sides of the street are lined with restaurants. Whether you want Hainan noodles, Qingbuliang, or Coconut Chicken, you can find anything you like just downstairs, saving you the hassle and cost of taking a taxi to find a good spot. So convenient! 🍜
It's also incredibly close to shopping malls! Summer Department Store is only 80 meters away, literally a stone's throw, making it super easy to buy souvenirs or just browse. The 'Big Pineapple' mall is about 800 meters, perfect for a relaxing evening stroll after dinner. 🛍️
The room facilities are all quite new, unlike some older hotels that can look a bit dated. The air conditioning and water heater worked perfectly, and a full set of toiletries was provided, so there was no need to bring a bunch of our own stuff. Most importantly, the cleanliness was genuinely spotless! The bed linens were pristine, and there were no strange odors in the bathroom, which made our stay feel completely secure and comfortable. 🧼
Our host was absolutely wonderful! When we first arrived and couldn't find our way, he went out of his way to come and pick us up. He also gave us great recommendations for local food and attractions. Later, whenever we had questions, we'd message him on WeChat, and he'd reply quickly – incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. ❤️
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely book this place again next time we come to Sanya. Highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Dadonghai!"

"The room decor was exactly as pictured, and the facilities were quite new. The best part was the incredible view from the room – you could see the sea right from the bed, and the balcony offered a panoramic view of Sanya Bay. Since the balcony faced west, it was also a prime spot for sunsets. It's a shame there were too many clouds during my stay, so I didn't get to capture any sunset photos, which was a bit disappointing."

Most importantly, the rooms are super, super clean, spacious, and bright, with complete facilities. Housekeeping cleans every day. The owner is warm and thoughtful. This time, I brought my parents and kids, so we booked two rooms and stayed for 10 days. The whole family was very satisfied; it was a very pleasant stay. "The two-bedroom unit is perfect for families with kids. The A/C was strong, and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; unlike Haitang Bay and Yalong Bay, this area boasts a vibrant local atmosphere with a supermarket and countless food options right downstairs. Just a short walk from the hotel (take a right, then a left), there's a fantastic restaurant whose Zhaopo Cu (vinegar hotpot) was so delicious, we couldn't get enough! Dadonghai Beach is only a 5-minute walk, and the sea water is absolutely stunning. All in all, it's a fantastic choice for a family vacation in Dadonghai."

"The apartment's interior is lovely. Every morning, I can see the sun, blue sky, and ocean. In the evening, I can enjoy takeout barbecue while gazing at the night view. Nearby, there are delicious restaurants like Zaocu (Vinegar with Slices of Rice and Vegetables), Coconut Chicken, and Hou'an Noodles. The Coconut Dream Corridor is an 8-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop right behind it, making transportation very convenient. The landlord is also very attentive. "The hotel was great, offering excellent value for money at a very reasonable price. It's right by the sea as soon as you step out, making the location absolutely superb. With plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, it's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. This makes it a worry-free choice, whether you're here for business or leisure.
The room itself was an even bigger pleasant surprise. As soon as I walked in, it felt bright and comfortable. The bed sheets and duvet covers were spotlessly white and neatly made, without a single stain. The desk and nightstands were thoroughly wiped clean, and even the sofa crevices were spotless, indicating that the disinfection was clearly done very well. The amenities provided were exceptionally comprehensive and thoughtful – everything from a hairdryer, cotton pads, and toilet seat covers to drinking water and all other toiletries was available.
What impressed me most was the bathroom. It was spacious and not cramped, with excellent wet and dry separation. The large vanity counter provided ample space, making grooming comfortable. There was no unpleasant odor, and the exhaust fan worked perfectly. Both the toilet and shower area were very clean, and the individually packaged toiletries gave me peace of mind. It was truly a comfortable and pleasant stay! 👍👍👍"

"The host was quick to respond. They assured us that everything was thoroughly cleaned and replaced for each guest, yet the room had a persistent smell of sweat. I tried to be understanding and suggested it might be due to humidity, but they dismissed that possibility. What was confusing was their contradictory statements: first, they said the room was occupied the night before, then claimed the previous guests hadn't actually stayed.
The host was quite accommodating, promptly offering a full refund if we weren't satisfied. However, it was already very late, making it impossible to find alternative accommodation.
We were then moved to a different room, which, unfortunately, presented its own issues. The walls (as pictured) showed signs of what looked like mold or water damage, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. I was so uncomfortable that I didn't fall asleep until 3 AM."

MM15907****Excellent! The owner, a friendly guy from Northeast China, was very welcoming. The place was clean and super close to the beach, which was really convenient. The sea was beautiful, and I even caught two clownfish – there were tons of different kinds of fish around the rocks. Oh, and enjoying a beer on the beach at night with the breeze was just incredible! When I left, the owner even gave me a ride to the parking lot. I later realized I'd forgotten my slippers and had to trouble him to go back for them, which I felt really bad about.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel's in-room projector and bedding were excellent, even comparable to some high-end hotels I've stayed in. The super king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept wonderfully. I also appreciated the Dyson hairdryer; it left my hair feeling smooth and soft. The airport pickup service was both quick and punctual. Due to its close proximity to the airport, there are a few seconds of noise during takeoffs and landings, but as a heavy sleeper, it didn't disturb me in the slightest.

GGuest UserThe boss is very kind and makes you feel at home. The place is elegant and clean. There is a public kitchen. Sanya Beach is just downstairs. The security is good. Everything is nearby and the transportation is convenient. Special thanks to the old version, who picked me up when it rained heavily. It was my first time to use the Phoenix Airport, which caused me to walk up and down, but I didn't complain. Thank you again.

HHweiling OwThe place was hard to find. There are tonnes of shop lots at the bottom of one entrance, and the other entrance had a large open area with stairs that goes up. The security guard I asked did not recognise the name, and there is no obvious signs that I could pick up. (I cannot read mandarin). I dont think there was any other way aside from contacting the person via the app. Even if you found the entrance, there is no obvious reception area.
We had to ring the contact person on the Trip.com app, and I had family who could speak mandarin to help guide the rest of the process. He is helpful and quick to respond. He brought us through a metal door, to a dark alleyway with lifts inside. If we weren't in a group of seven, I would have worried about my organs at this point.
There was a bit of a juggle with my cousins and my side of the family. So I ended up staying in the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT. The layout of the three bedroom apartment (located on the 18th floor) that we ended up in is similar to the two bedroom apartment with the lounge carved up to create a new bedroom. apartment is quick to respond. The two bedroom apartment (located on the 25th floor) felt bigger and cleaner, and had better views.
From here onwards, it is the review for the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT: We ran out of toilet paper and had air-conditioning issues. The contact person is quick to respond and solve our issues. The beds are hard for my body that is use to a softer version. There is no daily cleaning services that suits us. They supply toothbrushes, shower caps, body and shampoo wash in the bathroom, and disposable towels. The towels can be reused during the time you are there, but they are meant to be thrown away so they dont have the responsibility to rewash the towels. We didn't use the swimming pool on the third floor as we were too busy. It is RMB4 per use. They also supply a singular giant bottle of water. I think it was 5 litres. The air conditioning units in all three rooms work. Our view is a live view of how Sanya people live in Sanya, families in another building, the locals sitting on their balcony on a hot day.
You get a couple of tags to tag into the building, out of the building, into the lift, and into the bedroom. There is also a code you can type in to get access into the building. When we left, the contact person helped us with getting a taxi to the hotel. It went through his account and we paid him cash rounding up to the closest amount. He did not want any more for helping us. He was extremely helpful.
This is one of the cheaper choices in Sanya - and my rating is for the price and location.

JJuniper94It was an overall nice experience staying at the hostel for 3 nights. I had my own room, and it was not bad.
The location is good, easy to go to the beach and access to many restaurants.
The staff were friendly and helpful, able to build a nice atmosphere in the hostel.
Things to improve:
Wish there was a soap/hand sanitizer provided in the room.
And the blinds are not able to block the light, it’s very bright when the sun rises.

LLalita VExcellent location of the hotel! First coastline. View from the balcony directly to the sea. On the balcony it is very convenient to have tea/coffee, eat fruit and make salads, in short - it is a kind of living room in the open air with a view of the sea, palm trees and sand. You leave the hotel, cross the road and you are on the beach. This is captivating) Please note that the reception in this house is on the 4th (fourth) floor, not on the 1st. For us this was new. By the way, only Chinese live in the hotel, we were the only Russians. And we really liked it. No one bothered anyone with conversations and other alleged socialization. But we were able to immerse ourselves as much as possible in the life and leisure of the Chinese. This was also captivating. The house itself is not new and the interior inside is not very modern, but everything works, everything is clean. The room was small, although the website says 25 sq.m. - this is not true)) But the bed is really big, because The Chinese consider a double bed to be 1.5 m wide - for us, this is too small. On the floor there is a kitchen, a large refrigerator with a freezer, a gas stove, a sink, and some dishes. We only used the refrigerator. Every day we bought fruits, vegetables, yogurts, ham, and other goodies. It was very convenient. In the hall on the floor there is also a huge mirror (full-length) on the wall.
Next to the hotel there is a chain grocery store, which has everything for any request. A few blocks away there is another grocery store of the same chain, but it is twice as big! Deep in the block, on each street there are many different cafes. We found one cafe with a menu in Russian and very friendly owners. Then every day we went only to this cafe, because if the owners tried with the translation, it means that we will be their clients. We tried almost everything from the Chinese menu. An interesting experience. Overall, the location of the hotel is ideal - I recommend it. You can close your eyes to the size of the room))
