"Extremely satisfied! The landlady is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. She picked me up promptly, ensuring no delays, truly 100% service. Her food is absolutely delicious. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a better room and even received a Chairman Mao badge, which was a nice touch given the context. This is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

After I checked in, I saw that the facilities were complete and advanced. The sanitation work was in place. It was very clean and neat. The service attitude was also very good. I lived upstairs. The hotel is not far from the high-speed exit and it is very convenient to drive. The facilities in the room are very clean and the bedding is clean. The wash basin is a bit small and it doesn't feel very convenient to use. The weather on rainy days was very humid. When I first arrived, the room was open with the window. It felt very damp when I touched the bed. It was better to turn on the air conditioner to dehumidify. The quality of disposable products is very general, and the comb will be deformed after combing. The hotel service is very good, will introduce the way of visiting the Lushan Scenic Area, the store will recommend the local driver, 100 yuan a car can be picked up from the hotel to the scenic area. Otherwise, it will cost 20 yuan per person to take the scenic tourist bus to the transfer point. It is convenient to compare and charter a car. Local restrictions on foreign cars, self-driving must apply for a pass. Next door to the hotel is the same owner's restaurant. The taste is average and the price is not low. The couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things. I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.
