"The hotel's location is excellent, close to the high-speed rail station, making it convenient for visiting various attractions. The surrounding environment is great, with a large garden in front of the hotel and a beautiful back garden behind, which is very pleasing to the eye. The hotel has a parking lot, making parking easy and coming and going convenient.
The hotel facilities are comprehensive; the rooms are large with floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious and bright, with a well-thought-out layout. The wet and dry areas are separate, the bedding is comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the rooms are quiet.
Breakfast is abundant, with a wide variety of dishes including fish and shrimp.
The staff are enthusiastic and efficient.
Overall, it was a very good stay, highly recommended."

"This was the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop trip. It even made us fall in love with Zhangye itself and its people. The hotel is upscale and grand, with complete and well-equipped facilities. It's clean and comfortable; the mattress was soft, and the pillow even had buckwheat hulls on one side (my guess), which was very comfortable. There was a selection of coffee, 'eight treasure tea,' and other drinks, plus complimentary snacks. The staff were friendly and polite. What touched us most was that the laundry lady washed and hung our clothes to dry in the middle of the night (we dropped them off past 11 PM) and delivered them to our room the next day. We've truly never experienced such warm and thoughtful service before, and we sincerely recommend this place to everyone. Finally, I'd like to add that Zhangye's Rainbow Mountains are beautiful, Mati Temple is beautiful, and the people of Zhangye are beautiful."

The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Thank you! The hotel's Chinese restaurant was also good, and the breakfast selection was very rich. "First, I have to question Ctrip. When booking a hotel, besides looking at user reviews, I also pay close attention to Ctrip's official evaluations. This hotel is officially listed by Ctrip as the second-best high-end hotel in Zhangye. Has Ctrip genuinely assessed this hotel?
1. The hotel's soundproofing is very poor. Being in a bustling downtown area, sound insulation should be a priority, but the windows fail to provide it. We could hear people talking on the first floor even from our room on the ninth floor, not to mention the traffic noise and motorcycles revving late at night.
2. A crucial factor in determining if a hotel is high-end is the quality of its mattresses. However, this hotel features very ordinary spring mattresses; you can clearly feel each individual spring when you sit on it. This isn't an old, long-established hotel, so what makes it high-end?
3. Other minor issues include a leaky shower design and a sink that's too small, causing water to splash all over the counter when the faucet is turned on.
Ctrip should really pay more attention to its official hotel ratings. If they're not professional, how can customers trust them? If they don't even conduct basic assessments, they shouldn't be publishing any official rankings."

"What a pleasant surprise this hotel was during our hurried Hexi Corridor trip! We left Shandan, spent most of the day visiting Mati Temple and Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park, and arrived at the hotel around 10 PM. After a quick wash, I fell asleep on the comfortable bedding and woke up at 9 AM the next day. As I tidied up, I noticed how well-equipped this old-school hotel's rooms were, even thoughtfully providing a foot-soaking tub, hot water, and herbal packs. I was planning to grab a quick bite and hit the road again, but even though it was almost the end of breakfast service, the hotel's sincerity shone through; the food was incredibly abundant and delicious! Kudos to Zhangye! I was too tired to take room photos, but it looked exactly like the booking pictures! (Here's a photo of the self-driving map at the restaurant entrance, save it – maybe I'll come back someday!)"

"The hotel is located right next to the old street. Coming off the highway, the ring road leading to it is wide and clean. We parked on the street outside the hotel, and a security guard immediately came out to help us with our luggage. At the front desk, Nian He and Jing Xing were incredibly enthusiastic and proactively upgraded our room. The executive room was spacious and cozy, with a separate wet/dry bathroom. There's a long counter under the TV, which was perfect for placing all our bits and pieces. The hotel also has a laundry room, so we quickly washed our clothes before heading out to dinner. There are many restaurants around the hotel; we particularly enjoyed Jincheng Yiwang for its delicious and affordable food! The hotel's breakfast restaurant is large and offers a wide variety of options, including freshly ground coffee. This hotel truly made us fall in love with Zhangye!"

"The room was super spacious, clean, and tidy. The bedding was comfortable, and the bath towels were fluffy and white. The shower had great hot water pressure, which was fantastic! There's convenient parking available. We didn't book breakfast, but the front desk recommended Jiao Datou Beef Noodles next door, which was really good. After dinner, it's about a 40-minute drive to Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park."

Guest UserThe hotel is close to the old street, and directly opposite is a morning market. We stayed for two nights and it was great. The gym is a bit basic, so if you have serious fitness needs, you might want to reconsider, but it was fine for us with kids. One issue I'd like to mention is that the shower drainage might not be good, as water seeped out from under the door and spread everywhere. There's a park nearby where people do Guozhuang dancing in the evening, which is worth experiencing. Overall, it's good and I recommend staying here.

Guest UserIf I didn't have to wait until after my reservation to leave a review, I would have raved about this place yesterday! Saying this was the best hotel I stayed at during my Qinghai-Gansu mini-loop trip doesn't even begin to cover how I feel. I can be more effusive, but I'm absolutely not exaggerating: I can't say this is the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in, but I can definitely say it's the most thoughtful! From the moment I parked my car and the security guard helped with my luggage, to the front desk attendant offering a warm towel and hot tea, and returning my ID not just as is, but in a beautiful and heartwarming cardholder after check-in. A few small details in the room almost brought tears to my eyes, and I'm a grown man! Upon entering, I saw complimentary roses, Chinese knots, and snacks, all artfully arranged to create just the right cozy vibe. And then, there was even a foot bath and cucumber face masks! Every little surprise seemed to say, 'We genuinely care about you.' In this fast-paced world, finding a hotel that's willing to slow down and treat guests like family is incredibly rare. Thank you, Zhangye Huachen International Hotel, you've made me believe that the warmest scenery during a trip is the people you meet!

ssm57We liked almost everything about this hotel! Out of around ten hotels we stayed during our trip to China this year, this was by far the best one. It was renovated in 2026 and it shows. The automatic lighting system just works, the TV is huge (not that we can watch any of the movies in Chinese :-)). The AC is strong and silent. The check-in time of 10am and check-out times of 15:00 are unusually generous by American standards. The hotel recommended us a transfer service that we used on both days in Zhangye to go to Danxia mountains area. The only part we didn't like was the complimentary breakfast. It was impossible to find sugar for coffee, the Chinese food was somewhat bland and Western food mostly lacking.

Located 10 minutes walk from the high speed rail station on the edge of town. Room was ok but nothing special. The air-con was pretty useless and breakfast was very poor - lukewarm with many options frequently running out. Even though it was included in our booking, I stopped going. About 10 minutes by taxi from the central restaurant street.

The room itself was spacious and bright, hygiene was impeccable, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The service was warm, professional, and very responsive. Facilities were comprehensive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This place offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit, it's a must-choose when in Zhangye!

I stayed at the Capital Holiday Hotel during my two-day trip to Zhangye. The hotel was clean, well-equipped, and had excellent service. The staff at the hotel delivered the takeaway food I ordered to my room door, and parking was also convenient.

The room and bathroom were fine. But breakfast was served too late, starting at 7am. Many day tours required early pick up or we had to take a cab to the meeting place, so if the hotel can start serving breakfast at 6.30am, that would be better.
I asked reception if there was coffee served during breakfast, and the lady staff said that they used to serve coffee but it was usually left untouched, so they stopped serving coffee. She said she would arrange for coffee to be served for us at breakfast. What we got was a very diluted brown murky drink 😂 I guess the locals do not know how to make a cup of coffee. Anyway, breakfast is Chinese style. But there was toast and jam!! ❤️
On check in, we were given some snacks samples which were great. And in the evening, a staff came to give us tasty yoghurt!
Overall, service at this hotel is good!

The hotel's equipment and facilities are designed to be very user-friendly, taking into account the actual needs and usage habits of the guests. For example, the sockets in the guest rooms are reasonably located, which is convenient for guests to charge and use electronic devices; all kinds of necessary equipment for a four-star hotel are available, the room items are very comprehensive, and a midnight snack plate is also provided, which is really thoughtful! The signs in the public areas are clear and concise, allowing guests to easily find where they want to go; at the same time, the hotel also provides 24-hour room butler service and luggage storage service, which provides great convenience for guests' travel.
The sanitation service environment is quite good, relatively convenient, and quiet, and you can sleep well. In short, this is a very satisfactory accommodation experience. A family that provides service with heart!

Guest UserThis was my first stay at the Holiday Inn Express Zhangye. Usually, when I'm in Zhangye for business, I just pick any hotel, but this time I chose it because a friend told me how beautiful Ganzhou Fucheng is and that there are lots of great food options to explore. So, I picked the Holiday Inn Express that's really close to Ganzhou Fucheng. As soon as I walked into the lobby, the staff greeted me warmly and quickly helped me check in, even upgrading me to a room with a view of Ganzhou Fucheng. The room was incredibly spacious and quiet. From my room, I could see the entire Zhangye Wetland Park and the Ganzhou Fucheng night market. After work, I went to the Ganzhou Fucheng night market, browsed around, and even had some delicious Fried Bola. The hotel room was clean and tidy, the staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. They even offered me a complimentary late check-out. This stay was absolutely perfect, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!

Oh my god, this hotel only cost a little over 90 yuan, and the room has heating, air conditioning, a wet/dry bathroom, and smart voice control. When I saw the price, I really hesitated because I hadn't stayed anywhere this cheap on this trip, so I was a bit worried. After we got into the room, my husband exclaimed, 'At this price, the hotel must be losing money, running a business these days is just too hard!' And on top of that, the hotel even included breakfast for two, and the variety of breakfast items was quite rich. I absolutely have to give it a good review. The only minor downsides are that parking isn't very convenient, and you have to pay for parking yourself.
