"We stayed in a renovated room so bathroom was newly done and the walls were freshly painted. Nice light options to relax with softer light. Curtain and carpet were also new and inviting. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean. We enjoyed our stay. It seems that rooms are being updated since other reviews were written. Many reviews seem harsh considering the price you pay. It's a higher end budget stay after all. We got soap, toilet paper and towel. You can't expect everything for a budget price. Reception area was nicely decorated for Ramadan and staff were friendly. Location is great and a fun part of Cairo to explore. Nice night markets! Typical city noises but not too loud to sleep considering its the centre of the city. Balcony sliding doors are new and close but there is no view to mention. Other guests we saw seemed content as they socialised in public area. I prepaid with ********* to avoid payment issues. Public areas do need some more renovation and some repairs but again, it did not reduce the comfort of my stay and it was acceptable being dusted and clean.It's good for Cairo. We enjoyed using the quaint art nouveau gilded style lift! A good experience overall."

"Maybe because there were not many people staying, we were upgraded to a triple room. The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance to the National Museum. There is a small supermarket downstairs and many restaurants around. However, since it is not on the first floor, you have to go inside the building when you first go there, remember to pay attention to the signs on the wall. There is a mosque next to it, and the breakfast is okay. After all, the price is here, it is a relatively cost-effective hotel."

"The shower was also hot water and A / C was also attached, and it was very comfortable as a cheap dormitory. It was not a two-stage bed, but a single, and it was well selected and there was no insect. There was a drink shop in front of the hotel. Needless to say, the biggest experience would be an elevator."

"Excellent location near Tahrir Square / Egyptian Museum and Sadat Metro Station. Staff were excellent in particular the manager Mr Ahmed receptionist Alaa and house keeping Azze. Breakfast was good. 7 floors reception and communal lounge on top floor. Whilst we were there I was admitted to hospital they checked up on me daily via my wife and friend who was also staying at the hotel. Warm welcome back when I recovered. About 20 to 30 minute car journey to GEM and the Giza Plateau / Pyramids and Sphinx. About 45 minutes to an hour drive to both Sphinx and Cairo Airports"

"This was an ok hostel stay. I would have rated 5/5 had it not been for 3 things: 1. Had to rent towels 2. Smoking right outside the door, which meant the reception/common area reeked of smoke whenever someone was smoking. 3. Flies were buzzing around at breakfast time."

"I had a pleasant stay at Montana Hotel. The two young women at reception were fantastic—very helpful, attentive, and made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. The hotel itself is comfortable enough and in a great central location, ideal for exploring downtown Cairo. One small detail to note: the lift doesn’t have floor numbers displayed in English, so it’s useful to know that the hotel is located on the 7th floor. Overall, a good value stay with excellent service at the front desk."

"I stayed with my family at this hotel, but they left a little earlier than me. My friend wanted to stay there so that we can go out late , come back to the hotel and he would be able to take me to that airport the next day but the hotel rejected him because he is from Ciaro. I tried to apply for a refund but was rejected. I would like to withdraw the previous review, which was written under peer pressure on the( 2nd day) from one of the hotel staff members named : Hindu. The hotel was fine, but some things weren't for 1) discrimination against guests. 2) denying a refund 3) things went missing from the hotel room 4) the shower wasn't always working well 5) the carpet was very damp when I first arrived 5) my other family members had problems with the restroom, dirty water was coming up 6) my aircon wasnt working, i asked several times for help but to no avail 7) the keys were moved from one reception to another without informing guests. 8) pushy staff members are always asking for us to write reviews ( not all the staff members were like this. They were kind, helpful and present) 9) the hotel offers airport transfer but it's really expensive. Uber is much cheaper. * I wouldn't have written, I would've let it just go but but since the hotel refuses to give a refund, I think it's only fair that other know what my REAL experience was like ."

"Friendly staff You have to use a public toilet but it's ok I drank strawberry juice as a welcome drink and it was delicious, especially the afternoon staff was friendly. I checked out and left my luggage and went to find it."

"Stayed for three days, and the scenery in Greece is truly breathtaking. Just a short walk brings you to the famous cliff attractions, it's incredibly dreamy and therapeutic! If I ever need to, I'll definitely come back. The staff were very enthusiastic, and laundry service was free."

"Located in the center of Cairo and relatively close to the station, I think it is suitable for sightseeing stays. However, the hotel building itself was aging, so there was no water or electricity. In addition, each room was also old, and there were problems such as leaking water in the shower, wet floor in the room, and not stopping water in the toilet. After that, I felt honestly uncomfortable because the hotel employees were rude and did not try to give change or persistently demanded tips. For those who don't care about this at all, I felt that it was a recommended hotel in a sense."
