"The room is very good, especially if you are traveling alone. I was lucky that a staff member helped me carry my luggage to the 3rd floor. Since I had a 29-inch suitcase, it would have been very hard to do it by myself. The luggage storage area is a bit small. If other people are opening their bags, you have to wait for your turn. I stayed here for a concert and returned around midnight. The shops nearby were already closed, so I had to walk fast, but the hotel has instant noodles and food available which is very convenient. The bathroom is clean and has everything you need. Highly recommend!"

Hotel near Myeong-dong,Seoul
Located in Seoul's Jung-gu, Lime Stay Myeongdong offers a great stay experience for those traveling for fun or business.

"The room isn't very spacious, so if you're not with someone you're very comfortable with, you might be bothered by things like toilet sounds. There's also no elevator up to the 4th floor, which I imagine would be tough if you had a suitcase. I didn't use the hotel shower since I bathed after my body scrub, but it's integrated with the toilet, so again, that might be an issue for some. However, the hotel is right next to the station! The bus stop is also close, and there were cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, which was really convenient!"

Alternatively, take Bus No. 2233 from Exit 3 of Janghanpyeong Station and get off at the Sherbill Apartment stop. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the stop. "An Extremely Pleasant Stay in Seoul This hotel surprised us a lot, and yes, in a good way! Check-in was seamless. Just hand in your passport for processing and you got the room key. Very fast and convenient. There was an area where we could place our baggage before checking in so that we could go and explore the city with ease. The room was spectacular. The bed was cloud-like, the linens were crisp and luxurious, and the bathroom featured a toilet with an automatic bidet which was great and exceeded our expectations. We asked for room cleaning only once during our 7-day stay. Breakfast was okay. A self-service counter in a separate compartment/room with tables. Just typical breakfast: bread, yam, cereal, milk, and orange juice. Free mini-ramyon was also available in limited quantities. Oh and the cereal and milk were available 24 hours until depleted. We came back one evening, exhausted and thank god there was food (even if it’s just cereal). The pantry was also equipped with a microwave and toaster. Free plastic cutlery was also provided. The hotel location couldn't have been better, just steps away from renowned shopping stores (Olive Young, Daiso), incredible restaurants, and public transportation to explore Seoul. In the elevator, we could even see the airport bus information (Bus No. 6013) with a ticket price indicated (cash or T-money card accepted), which was an absolute godsend. We no longer needed to take the metro or public bus to the airport because of this. Thank you, Bellus! What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the staff and strategic location where we could easily find a bus stop and a place to eat. This was hands down one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had in Seoul. The city has already stolen our hearts, and this affordable hotel was a huge part of the reason why. If we have a chance, we will absolutely be back. Traveled with a colleague/friend – April 2026"

"Really love the cleanliness of the rooms and the hospitality given by the employees there. Breakfast was simple yet filling!! The location is really central to two subway stations (myeongdong and euljiro-1). I think clearer instructions could be given for using the washing machines and dryer. The price of it could be slightly lowered if possible."

"The room was extremely small — like, no space to even open a suitcase. As soon as you walk in, it’s basically just the bed, and then the bathroom. Overall, it didn’t feel very clean. The bathroom had a musty smell, and it honestly felt like they tried to cover it up by spraying a lot of bleach. Amenities were very minimal — just water and a hair dryer. The hair dryer kept turning on and off, so it was pretty frustrating to use. The location, though, was the best part. I booked it because I had an early KTX train, and it’s right in front of Seoul Station Exit 10, which was super convenient. But for the price, the value is really poor. I definitely wouldn’t book it again. Especially if you have luggage — I strongly don’t recommend it because there’s literally no space to put a suitcase. I was lucky I only had a backpack for a short trip."

"Pros: It's clean. Whether it's truly spotless or just gives off that vibe, it feels clean enough that you'd be comfortable walking barefoot on the floor. The location is super convenient, close to the light rail and bus stops, with tons of cafes and restaurants nearby. Plus, it's quite spacious, bigger than I expected. The previous nights in Seoul I stayed in a similarly priced place that was tiny in comparison, so this one feels positively 'expansive'! Cons: The only downside is that it's street-facing. If you can, try to request a room away from the street side. Even with double-glazed windows for soundproofing, it can still be noisy because it's right by a main road. (It's not unbearable, but might be an issue for light sleepers.)"

With a stay at The Road in Seoul (Myeong-dong), you'll be a 5-minute walk from Namsan Mountain Park and 6 minutes by foot from Myeongdong Street. "This is more of a small guesthouse, and you'll be responsible for looking after your own room. The room has its own fridge. The lights, TV, and air conditioning are all controlled by one remote. The room itself is small. The window was a bit disappointing; it opened onto a door under a transparent roof. While some daylight did get in, you couldn't tell what the weather was like outside. But it did help air out the room and let in fresh air—and mosquitoes! My shower was under the stairs, so anyone over 165 cm tall would find it uncomfortable to use. The soundproofing is poor; you can hear people in the hallway. I can't comment on noise from neighbors, as my room was between an exterior wall and the stairs. On the 3rd floor, there's a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, pots, plates, cups, and a free coffee machine. You'll also find trash bins there for sorting your own recycling, along with clean towels, napkins, etc. The location is excellent. All the main attractions are within a 2 km radius. It's about a 20-minute walk from the train station, which is convenient if you're planning day trips to nearby towns with late returns. There's a hypermarket at the train station that's open until midnight."

"Everything was simply excellent! For breakfast, they had cereal, yogurt, and toast – perfect! The staff were incredibly responsive; they always helped with everything and explained anything unclear, or resolved any issues. For 9 days, this felt like home, and I'm very happy about that! I highly recommend it. The shower and toilet were clean. You can tell the hostel recently opened because everything is brand new. It's an excellent option for solo travelers looking for value for money. Each capsule has an outlet, so if you don't feel like leaving your capsule, you're all set (for isolation, that is). The location is fantastic, right on 'Youth Street' – you step out and you're immediately in a pedestrian area, the very center of Seoul. The subway and buses are very close by. The soundproofing in the capsules is decent, but I was lucky with my neighbors; they were quiet people. Overall, I made the right choice, so I'm happy to write this review, even though I rarely do."

GGuest UserExtremely well located, and despite its central location in the heart of Myeongdong and being close to the subway, it was very quiet at night. Check in took a while as the reception takes every guest personally to their own rooms to give a thorough explanation of services and amenities. I was worried I’d be cold in the room but the heating is excellent - quiet and efficient. Breakfast is self serve - you cook your own eggs and make your own toast and cereal. The microwave and pantry was greet for late night noodles and snacks! Lots of convenience stores, restaurants and shops nearby - you can eat and shop till you drop! A great stay and I will definitely be back again. Thank you Ara125!

AAnonymous UserThe location is very nice. You can easily walk to Myeongdong, Namsan Tower, and many restaurants, and transportation is convenient. The staff were very kind and helpful. However, it’s difficult for me to say this was a good stay overall. Here are the reasons why: • Elevator – The elevator is only for luggage, not for guests. This should be clearly stated before booking. As in here it’s show as the property has an elevator without explaining that it is a cargo elevator, it is misleading. • Security – The room password was simply the room number with an additional “1” added to it. I didn’t leave valuables in the room, so I wasn’t too worried, but it still felt like a weak security system. • Room Door – There is no additional lock on the inside of the room. While the digital lock can be activated, I never felt completely confident that the door was fully secured. • Soft Opening Without Notice – When I booked, there was no mention that the property was still in a soft-opening stage. I expected the hotel to be fully operational. Instead, there were unfinished areas, items left around the property, and staff frequently entering rooms after check-in to inspect or photograph things without being asked. Had I known the hotel was not fully ready, I would have considered other options before booking. • Poor Room Layout – My room was 405, located at the end of the hallway. The neighboring room (404) had a door positioned in a way that it would hit my door whenever opened carelessly. During my four-night stay, the guests next door banged their door into mine repeatedly. Eventually, at around 1 a.m. one night, I had to contact the staff and ask them to address the issue. • Cleanliness Concerns – The property appears to use the same type of towel for everything. When I asked about a bathroom mat, I was told to use a towel instead. This gave me the impression that the towels were being used for multiple purposes, including drying floors. On top of that, the towels shed lint and left fibers on my skin after use. • Very Small Bathroom – Please be aware that the bathroom is extremely small. The shower is positioned directly over the toilet, and there is barely enough room to stand while showering. In practice, you almost need to sit on the toilet to shower comfortably. After two nights, I seriously considered moving to another hotel. The only reason I stayed was because my mother didn’t want to move all of our belongings again. To be fair, one of the staff members (possibly the owner) sincerely apologized and explained that they were trying their best. I do believe they genuinely care and are making an effort. However, there is still a long way to go before this property is ready to provide a comfortable hotel experience.

MMisa93The location is good if you want peace, since it's close to Bukhansan National Park and not city centre. The room is very spacious, but the cleanliness was so-so. I found someone's hair on the bedside table, and the tiles in the bathroom weren't very clean. I guess it's what you get for the price. If you're a budget traveller, it's a good choice, if you want something more, look for other places. But the view was amazing.

LLeonardDA very good option for staying for a week. Spacious rooms, an elevator, good in-room amenities, and pleasant staff. First of all, the area is excellent. It’s a lively, authentic Seoul, and just outside the neighborhood you’ll find postcard-worthy spots and major tourist attractions. Staying here allows you to experience the rhythm of daily life alongside local Seoul residents and really feel the city from the inside. Plus there's also many convenient metro stations nearby. As for the hotel itself, there are both positives and negatives. Starting with the downsides: maybe I was just unlucky, but the shower head was in very poor condition and barely worked. Hopefully, this will be fixed. There’s also no option to open the window for some reason — it has a strange four-layer window system, which is… okay. The tap water is quite hard, but as far as I understand, that’s common across most of Seoul. The room keys don’t look very secure, and the key fob is huge — about the size and weight of a solid, heavy iPhone. It’s easier to leave the key at reception when you go out and pick it up again when you return. Another downside is the poor sound insulation from the corridor. When the Korean and Russian cleaning staff start chatting in the morning, it works better than any alarm clock. In some places, you can see signs of the hotel’s “age” and wear over time, but it’s not too serious. On the plus side, in addition to the usual amenities like toothbrushes and basic hygiene kits, each room has large bottles of body lotion, cream, and something else I didn’t even have time to figure out. That’s a definite bonus. Next, despite the inability to open the window, the rooms aren’t stuffy at all — on the contrary, they’re comfortably warm. There’s also heated flooring. All the staff are pleasant, friendly Koreans who are always willing to help if needed. A solid 4 out of 5.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is truly excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the MRT station, and there are plenty of food options and convenience stores nearby. However, the air conditioning unit in the room couldn't provide heating. In spring, when the weather fluctuates so much, heating is actually quite necessary. Also, both the duvet and sheets had stains on them. I hope they check them after washing before making the bed, as the stains were very obvious.

TTianyixiaonvhaiHonestly, the location was a bit hard to find! It's tucked away deep inside, and the pictures on Trip.com weren't very accurate. I had to rely on asking people for directions and guesswork! This place seems to only accommodate female guests, and I'm a solo female traveler visiting Seoul for the first time! The biggest plus is its excellent location, right next to the dermatology clinic I visited. The downsides are poor ventilation and the front desk staff's mediocre attitude, plus they require a deposit. The front desk is quite far from the rooms, and check-in is entirely by a key code. If you lose the paper with the code, you're out of luck!

GGuest UserWe were able to locate the guest house easily using Naver Map. However, our first struggle was how to reach the destination itself. The guesthouse is located in an uphill area, almost near Namsan Cable Car (600km/20min walk). A great tip we discovered (after struggling of walking uphill for 2 days 😂) was using the escalators/elevators near the Ihoeyeong Memorial Hall. Go straight from there and you’ll find a 7-Eleven convenience store upon crossing the street. Go left then right at the first wide alley way you see, it should be uphill. Keep on walking until you see a signage of mama guest house on your right side. We booked a day before our arrival so we could immediately check-in in our rooms. A note welcomed us and our keys were found at the reception area. Pls don’t forget to remove your shoes and change into the slippers they provide found in the shoe cabinet at the left side of the entrance. Our rooms were next to each other, but differ in size. Bathroom was okay, but I hope they’ll fix the sink’s pipe problem in room 104 since it leaks on the floor upon using. I suggest buying shower filters (5,000 Won) since the water in SK is quite harsh. I suggest to test how you’ll adjust the temperature when showering. There were no bidets in our bathrooms. Always bring your keycard with you whenever you go out. They don’t go into your rooms like hotels would. If you have any requests, just leave a note on their desk (ie. New towels, tissue, etc.) They also don’t have laundry machines. Do not eat inside the rooms, only in the kitchen which is in the basement. If you feel like your trash bins are getting full, trash bins are found in the lobby and segregate everything according to their waste category. Just think of it as you’re staying on your own room. Walls are thin, made of light wood materials so I wouldn’t suggest talking nor listening to your phone loudly. Breakfast menu were cereals with milk, bread and flavored jam, and instant noodles. You can only consume what’s inside the fridge unless there’s a note that a room guest owns it. You can cook and buy your own food, just make sure you clean up after. You can also fill-up your water bottles here. Going to different areas are easy too since it’s near Myeongdong Station exit 1. If you’re planning to go shopping in Myeongdong, just go straight after exit 1 and you should see E-Mart across the street then cross on the first crosswalk you see. If you want to enter the “main” street, go left until you see the bug HBAF building. Overall, I think our stay was a good since the staff we get see was very accommodating to our requests. I just hope they’ll fix some of their bathroom leakage.

Mmoo257It's only two minutes' walk from the nearest station and has excellent access. There is a convenience store right next to the hotel, and there are 24-hour restaurants nearby, so it's convenient. A refrigerator, dryer, and smartphone charger are provided in the room.(i-phone&type-c only) If there is no staff at the front desk when you check in, you will need to obtain your room number using sns. As others have written, the cleaning situation leaves room for improvement. However, you will be able to stay at a very reasonable price, so I think it would be a good idea to bring slippers and other things to make up for the parts of the floor that are not well cleaned.
