Find 2-Star Hotels in Chicago

"A classic Hi USA hostel. For 400 RMB, getting a bunk in the South Loop is something to be grateful for. The location is excellent: a bus stop is just across the street to the south, a metro station to the north, and Grant Park to the east. Most major attractions are even within a 20-minute walk. The water dispenser is only on the second floor, which is quite inconvenient. Having to go downstairs every time to get water is a bit of a hassle. The downsides are clear: the decor is a bit dated, and there are no bed curtains. Plus, it's right next to the elevated Loop 'L' train tracks, so the noise is noticeable. Those with poor sleep quality will have a tough time. Personally, I don't mind; it's part of Chicago's character. There are lockers in the room for your belongings, just remember to bring your own lock. Each room has a sink outside the door, with separate bathrooms and toilets. The bathrooms are equipped with shower gel and shampoo, and amenities are restocked promptly. However, the shower water pressure in the room is insufficient. I also tried the communal showers, and the water pressure there was much better than in the room, making for a much more comfortable wash. The cleaning staff are efficient, promptly removing dirty towels and emptying trash cans. The front desk staff are very friendly, and you can ask them for fresh towels even late at night. In summary: For 400 RMB, what more can you ask for from a bunk bed within the Loop?"

"Hampton is truly deserving of a 5-star rating. The breakfast was great, with a variety of foods to choose from. The cleanliness of the room, towels, and amenities was excellent. The ice and water dispensers were very convenient and a nice touch. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for all of us."

"They are cool about checking in earlier than 3pm from my experience, but you'll be gambling with a clean room or not. You might get a room that isn't infested with bed bugs, but if you do get one that has bed bugs, that's only one issue that you have to take care of yourself. The air conditioning is super basic, it's one of those old vent ones through the wall, not a unit or anything. It barely works and when it's humid it won't do you much good. They gave a box fan which is better than nothing, but you'll be stuck here with basic amenities and you gotta make due somehow. What I recommend, buy an electric stove top for cooking. Hand wash your clothes and hang them whenever is most ideal. The location is great, sometimes ghetto people come in and are loud, but the area itself is nice and you won't have to worry about crimes happening here. There's a lot of nearby stores and even gyms."

"Very good value for the price, stuff is very welcoming. They checked in me earlier, because the room was ready. Hotel is in 15 minutes walk from city center. You can easily get from/to the airport to the hotel by metro"

"A motel like this is great in downtown Chicago with no parking spaces. It takes 15 minutes to walk from Cloud Gate. It was cold and windy when we went there, so it was quite a long journey. But if you can travel by car, it's great to come back without worrying about the parking space! The hotel is very clean, all the staff are of Mexican descent, but the attitude is generally friendly, that is, the front desk calls me every evening, once saying that the car is not correct, once saying that there is no parking coupon, because the phone really does not understand, I have to run The front desk used translation software to figure it out. There is a huge McDonald's nearby, as well as a small grocery store, so you don't have to worry about eating and drinking. The nearby hotels are also very popular, and there are also resident performances, and the level is also very high."

"Tiny but clean rooms! The customer service is all through a chat feature, no in person or phone calls, which isn’t my favorite but they were very responsive when we had issues with our code. It felt very safe and a great location to our events that weekend."

"So the sheets smelled like they weren’t washed and their was no fridge. But everything else was good. Room Service, location, and staff were all friendly and helpful."

"The room is very large, go out to the gorgeous mile, the old Navy Pier, Millennium Park can be walked, very close. But a little night was too noisy, I don't know why there was a roar of machines, but the hotel is equipped with earplugs, if you can adapt is a great choice."

"Another beautiful flower in the world; daffodils. Clean and tidy; the favorite restaurant of normal people is here. You can do your own thing quietly, without worrying about strange noises or noisy crowds coming and going. Don't worry about accidentally breaking the hotel's items, how much to lose, etc. The minimalist education is most pleasing."
