Warwick Allerton Chicago

Warwick Allerton Chicago ★★★★

📍 701 N Michigan Ave, Chicago

"The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and its location is excellent, making it very convenient to get anywhere. Many attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is like an apartment, and while the room doesn't have much of a view, it's spacious enough and quite good."

Hilton Chicago
8.7 (195 reviews)

Hilton Chicago ★★★★

📍 720 S Michigan Ave, Chicago

"Cozy rooms, hotel breakfast spread was extremely good. Highly recommend to get the breakfast. However, rooms were a bit dated and there is a slight musk, but as to be expected with the age of the hotel. Being picky with this, but would still consider this a 5 star hotel nonetheless."

HI Chicago Hostel
9.0 (95 reviews)

HI Chicago Hostel

📍 24 E Congress Pkwy, Chicago

"A classic Hi USA hostel. For 400 RMB, getting a bunk in the South Loop is something to be grateful for. The location is excellent: a bus stop is just across the street to the south, a metro station to the north, and Grant Park to the east. Most major attractions are even within a 20-minute walk. The water dispenser is only on the second floor, which is quite inconvenient. Having to go downstairs every time to get water is a bit of a hassle. The downsides are clear: the decor is a bit dated, and there are no bed curtains. Plus, it's right next to the elevated Loop 'L' train tracks, so the noise is noticeable. Those with poor sleep quality will have a tough time. Personally, I don't mind; it's part of Chicago's character. There are lockers in the room for your belongings, just remember to bring your own lock. Each room has a sink outside the door, with separate bathrooms and toilets. The bathrooms are equipped with shower gel and shampoo, and amenities are restocked promptly. However, the shower water pressure in the room is insufficient. I also tried the communal showers, and the water pressure there was much better than in the room, making for a much more comfortable wash. The cleaning staff are efficient, promptly removing dirty towels and emptying trash cans. The front desk staff are very friendly, and you can ask them for fresh towels even late at night. In summary: For 400 RMB, what more can you ask for from a bunk bed within the Loop?"

"The breakfast was delicious, served voucher-style at the restaurant on the first floor, and the room condition was clean and nice! The only minor issue was that the bathroom was a bit see-through, but other than that, everything was great."

"The staff were extremely unfriendly and rude. Everyone acted so important. Nobody even tried to help guests with their issues. The rooms are old and everything is just run down, especially the bathroom which was filthy."

Hilton Chicago ★★★★
"While the other things were excellent, it was tainted with the very low level of check-in services I ever experienced in my many year international travellings. The check-in attendant had no smiles and gave my key card with eyes looking somewhere else as if I had not been in front of her. If I had been in a motel out og nowhere, I could understand it. But, this was HILTON in CHICAGO, and I am a Hlton Gold member. HILTON really has to train their front liners with standard higher level of services."

HI Chicago Hostel ★
"Amazing hostel. Literally the best hostel I’ve ever visited (I tried 5). The location is amazing. Theres no deposit. They provide 2 rltowels, 2 sheets, warm blanket. Im 162 tall and there was enough space for me. There’re shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Room for 10 girls was spacious! The kitchen has fridge and freezer. Also, there’s a water fountain for a clean water. They also have wending machines. They also can receive a package for you for an additional charge. Another cool thing is that they can keep docs and money safe in the lobby. No breakfasts. Hostel offers so many activities. I felt really comfy to travel as girl. There’re some homeless dudes sleeping not far from the hotel, but they don’t bother others. I walked once at 8 pm and I wouldn’t recommend to repeat such experience. District is good, like it’s literally the city center, but it comes dark, there’re very weird dudes on the street."

Best Western Grant Park Hotel ★★★
"Overall, my experience was just average. The price was quite high, over 2000 per night, likely due to a trade show, and breakfast wasn't included. The room was a standard size. Don't expect too much from this place. A major downside was the noise from outside at night."

"I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was in a great location. I ubered and walked to anything I did. My most expensive uber was $29 and that’s because I went 30 miles away from the hotel. It was very clean and I felt safe as a woman staying by myself. Well stay again."

SpringHill Suites Chicago O'Hare ★★★
"Overall a good budget suite style hotel to stay at after getting off a long flight. Everything is pretty standard. Interior has typical but dated decoration of that late 90s early 2000s style. The thermostat in the room is probably older than I am (millennial), and its settings were limited with no indication of commanded temperature- just hot or cold. Hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful even when checking in at almost 10pm. And there’s an attached Outback Steakhouse which was a plus when checking in so late and not wanting to go out to get food. I would definitely stay again."
