"Perfect stay for a simple trip. Stayed at the single bed room. The room is small but just enough for my short stay.
Room was clean & it has everything you expected for a budget hotel: Tea/coffee, milk on the fridge and toileteries.
Wifi speed is good for browsing (Approx 40-50Mbps)
The only downside is: Their hotel key is using old technology and easily demagnetised. I happen to put it next to my Airpods and it loses the magnetism."
"This is an incredibly hip Hyatt-affiliated boutique hotel located in Fitzroy. It blends in perfectly with the local vibe and offers a different feel from Andaz, another Hyatt boutique brand. While check-in is a bit late at 3 PM compared to other hotels, the 12 PM check-out time was actually a plus. The room wasn't huge, but it was fine for one person. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby. All the furniture, decor, and amenities were excellent, and the common areas like the lobby, cafe, and rooftop bar were all stylish and impressive spaces. There's no gym in the hotel itself, but they have a partnership with Snap Fitness in Fitzroy's city center, which was actually better as it had more equipment."

"This was a clean and comfortable hotel! They had all the basic amenities like towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo, plus tea and coffee. The location was incredibly convenient; it was great to be able to walk back in just 5-10 minutes after shopping or spending time at a cafe. The reception staff were very kind; in my case, even though it was before the official check-in time, they let me into my room because it was ready. I felt they offered excellent service for the price in Melbourne. I'd definitely want to stay here again if I come back to Melbourne!"

"The apartment matched the pictures online almost perfectly, 99% accurate! Even though the hotel has been open for years, the rooms and facilities were spotlessly clean. No water stains on the walls, and the bathroom was completely free of mold or black spots in any corners. The drains worked perfectly with no unpleasant odors. I stayed for 6 days, and whenever I hung the cleaning card, they came to clean promptly. The front desk service was excellent. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely book here again in the future."

"Location - In the ”Little Italy” neighborhood, so many pizzerias and gelato spots are nearby. There's also a 7/11 across the street. The hotel is right on the outskirts of the CBD (so not too far), and there's a bus stop across the street that goes to the CBD. The location is good.
Room - Spacious, clean, and the wifi speed was good. The balcony in my room faced another building, but that wasn't a big issue for me- I don't use balconies that much. Lastly, I had my room cleaned each day.
Good value hotel."

"It's quite a long walk from Southern Cross Station, and some of the paths are narrow, making it difficult to pull luggage. The front desk is on the second floor, and self-check-in is available. Since I arrived early and wanted to check in sooner, I paid an extra $25 per night to upgrade to a queen room with a desk. The deposit was $100. The room facilities were complete, though the shower head in the bathroom was fixed overhead and only allowed for direction adjustment. There were plenty of TV channels, including Phoenix TV for Chinese viewers. The staff on the ground floor were very friendly."

"Room was clean and comfortable. Pleased that our room and bed sizes got upgraded as there was one available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great and very close to the station, restaurants and shopping mall.
Little gym has the essentials for fitness which I was able to make use of. Only complaint was the buffet breakfast - very average if not poor quality. Fruit salad didn’t look fresh, hash browns looked over cooked and dry. Most food seemed as it had simply been taken out of packets or the fridge and served straight away, with no preparation behind it.
However for what was paid, we did get our money’s worth."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the town hall, making it easy to walk to anywhere in the city center. Although it's a 3-star hotel in an old building, the facilities are very new, the bed is soft, and there's a mini-fridge. The only downside is that the internet can be a bit slow when there are a lot of people, but that doesn't affect my overall rating!"

"At first, they gave me the room at the corner and which had high frequency noise from air conditioning. The front desk staff was very nice, he helped me to change another room at once. Even that the room was smaller than the old one, but brighter, feel more comfortable and more quiet. I can’t imagine if I need to sleep in the old room for 6 night.
This hotel is very convenience which place at the free tr zone in the city centre."

Great
SSRuss83I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel.
One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself.
Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1.
My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles.
THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :)
I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.
GGuest UserThe hotel rooms are just a row of simple ground-floor units, incredibly small. There's barely enough space to move once you put down a suitcase. The room amenities are very basic and poor quality, yet it cost nearly 800 yuan. The front desk service was even worse; they told us that our two-person reservation was only for one person and tried to make us pay for an upgrade. I told them I booked a double room, and for the upgrade price, I could stay at the Holiday Inn at the airport. Plus, the taxi ride here was quite expensive. I also thought the shuttle bus was available anytime, but it turns out it only runs every half hour, and now I have to wake up early tomorrow morning. I truly regret booking this hotel. It's expensive, unhelpful, and inconvenient.

Great
KKayyyaIt was more like a well-managed, very clean hostel, which left a great impression. The breakfast was excellent, and although I didn’t use the kitchen facilities, everything I might have needed was there.
The view from the breakfast area was also beautiful.

Very Good
GGuest UserOur stay was fine. Staff polite. Food on site was ok. Wanted to store our luggage before able to check in but the area available had a shutter door which didn’t lock.
Some rooms over look boarding kennels. Nothing in the area apart from URBNSURF great place to have food and watch the surfing. Three little Ducks food excellent definitely recommend here .
GGuest UserThe receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Easy check in. Plenty of parking space. Room was basic but clean. Insulation of the room was not good. It was cold as we can feel the cold air entering the room from the window and door edges. Heater wasn’t functioning.
Easy check out. Location ok.
Not worth for the price we paid.
11100126445Because this was the only hotel within walking distance from my friend's house, we stayed for a total of 4 nights and booked a 2+1+1 deal. Before checking in on the first day, the room fee and a deposit of 100 Australian dollars were charged to my credit card. On the fourth day, I went to the front desk to renew the room card (I couldn't open the door without renewing it). The front desk already knew that this was a prepaid order and asked if the payment would be deducted from the original credit card (I changed the name of the booker on the fourth night but didn't change the room and noted ”extend stay” in the order). I thought that after the prepaid order, the hotel might have to charge a deposit again because the name of the booker had changed, so I replied ”yes”. As a result, not long after, the front desk deducted 157 Australian dollars from the credit card again. I returned to the hotel in the evening and called the front desk. The front desk said it might be the deposit and asked me to talk to the manager tomorrow. I checked out very early the next day and the front desk was not at work. I negotiated with the hotel through text messages. The hotel said that I booked the room twice, once at the front desk and then again on Ctrip two hours later. They were so shameless. I booked the room on Ctrip one night in advance, but I didn't go to the front desk to renew the room card until after 9 o'clock the next day. After the communication failed, I had to contact Ctrip. If the negotiation with Ctrip failed, I would post a complaint on the hotel's official website. After repeated communication with Ctrip, the hotel agreed to refund the money, saying it was a ”communication misunderstanding”. I suggest that compatriots should check their credit card information more often when they go out, and safeguard their legal rights and interests in a timely and resolute manner, so that the chickens and dogs of T can't hide.
GGuest UserThe location is good but other than that I would not call it a pleasant stay. Rooms and bathrooms are pretty dirty. They clean regularly but apparently not thoroughly. Power on my bunk did not work. The room has a 'temporary' AC which has collected dust like it has been there for a while already and it is unbearably loud. The exhaust air of this is routed to a closed window, therefore all the air stays in the room. Luckily I figured that out and opened the window the 2nd night but the AC still was loud.
For $80 a night I do expect more.
GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed by its grandeur. The staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, and check-in was super quick with no complicated procedures. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the bed was so soft and comfortable, it made me want to fall asleep as soon as I lay down. The in-room amenities were also excellent; the TV, air conditioning, and kettle all worked perfectly. Plus, the bathroom was spotless and completely odor-free. The hotel's location is great too, with convenient transportation and plenty of delicious food and fun places nearby. I'll definitely be back to stay here again if I have the chance!

CCasie_CasieI usually stay here and the room is good for the price. I can’t expect more at this rate. However, this time the room had a bad smell and there were bugs. I informed the reception and asked to change rooms, but they ignored my request and said the hotel was fully booked. I was quite disappointed with this experience.
