The Fu Hua Guang Dong Hotel is located in the heart of Macau. Nearby is the must-see Three Lamps District, which besides being a top Macau attraction is also site of some of Macau's best Macanese and Southeast Asian dining outlets. This Macau hotel stands in the center of the city’s World Heritage area and is surrounded by historical attractions such as the Ruins of St Paul’s Church, the Fortaleza do Monte, Macao Museum, Na Tcha Temple and the Dr.Sun Yat Sen Memorial House, many within walking distance. With their minimal style, hotel rooms are decorated with modest Chinese-Japanese accoutrements and come with all the usual amenities.

"I was very satisfied with this hotel. It's located in a residential area in the city center, making it super convenient to get to places like St. Paul's Ruins, yet it's still away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Downstairs, there are tons of eateries, and right across the street, you'll find a Lai Lai Pharmacy and a Lai Lai Supermarket. The only downside is that the soundproofing needs improvement; I was woken up by a child next door after 10 PM. I'll definitely book here again next time."

"I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Macau multiple times, and it used to be consistently excellent. I always felt it offered great value for money, primarily because I trust IHG's management, ensuring cleanliness, and the location is incredibly convenient. For someone without overly high demands, it's definitely a recommended choice. However, this stay felt like the hotel has started cutting corners. Many amenities are no longer provided: no cotton swabs, no charging cables, and even the IHG Rewards welcome drink was gone. Plus, I felt a bit misled. It was my mistake for not reading the booking details carefully and selecting a 'random room' type. After a concert, I checked in quite late and asked for a twin room, only to be told none were available. They then offered me ”the best king room in the entire hotel”! What I got was just a room with an extra two-seater sofa 😅😅😅, and a bathroom where you had to step into the tub just to shower. 😂😂😂 I hope the hotel sees picture four and addresses the issues."

The hotel meeting and banquet facilities offer a range of venues and high-tech equipment. The Business Center includes full secretarial services, fax machines and internet access.

"The location is excellent, right across from Grand Lisboa, just a 2-minute walk. I stayed on the 11th floor; the room was very clean and tidy, with no strange smells. The bathroom was well-equipped with soap, a shower cap, and lotion. The bed was comfortable. There was only one UK-style power outlet near the dressing table, and the one by the bed was a USB charging port. The soundproofing could be a bit better. It's super close to the 21A/26A bus stop and the famous Lao Day Beef Offal, and Senado Square is also very nearby. Overall, it's great."

Located at the hottest travel trend area of Macau with convenient traffic network. Entertaining and shopping centers are just around the corner – your first choice for business or leisure trip to Macau. Guest rooms are modernly designed and equipped with temperature control, LCD TV, in room safe deposit box. Looking more to enjoy your stay just like you are at home? A kitchenette with fridge, electrical stove and kettle is the answer.

"I came to Macau again for a concert and decided to stay at a hotel for one night. I did a lot of research before booking this hotel, and it was very convenient for me to take bus number 102 from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Perhaps because I'm not familiar with the routes to the old town, I ended up taking taxis, including to the concert. If you know the area well, you can walk or take the light rail. I want to mention that I arrived at the hotel around 2:35 PM, and the staff were happy to check me in, which was very friendly and ideal! Previously, I've stayed at hotels like the Lisboa and Ponte 16, which only allowed check-in after 3:00 PM, causing long queues in the lobby. The staff at this hotel were much friendlier than those at other hotels! Very welcoming! Also, I was very hungry from the long journey, and the staff at the hotel's restaurant on the first floor were very friendly and even cut my food for me! 👍🏻 The hotel room was well-designed! It had an induction cooker, and the window design allowed for relaxation and enjoying the view! The electric curtains were a huge plus! This is why I would definitely stay at this hotel again!"

The Grand Harbour Hotel was recently renovated in 2023, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Macau. Macau International Airport is located approximately 9km away from this hotel. Guests will find Macao Museum, Na Tcha Temple and Holy House of Mercy just a short distance from the hotel. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"I booked this hotel for a weekend trip to Macau with my parents. The location is a bit out of the way, but Macau is small, and public transport is convenient. It's a 30-minute walk to St. Paul's Ruins, or four bus stops, and getting to the border gates is easy. However, there aren't many dining options near the hotel; after 9 PM, apart from the supermarket right outside, there's nowhere to eat. The lobby on the first floor is tiny, more like a guesthouse. The family room itself was quite spacious, but the furnishings were old and basic. The price was very high for a weekend, over 800 RMB on Ctrip, while it's only around 300 RMB on Sundays and weekdays. A night at a luxurious hotel in Fisherman's Wharf only costs 500-600 RMB. This was the worst hotel we stayed at during our entire trip."

"Hotels in Macau are generally very clean. Initially, I was worried about the prices here and considered booking something near Gongbei Port. But then I saw that the difference in cost was quite small and totally acceptable, so we decided to stay in Macau. This is a great hotel, and it's not too far from the Ruins of St. Paul's. We walked there, stopping for a meal along the way, so it took a bit longer, but it's probably less than a 20-minute walk if you go straight there."

The Metropole Hotel Macau is located at the popular commercial and shopping center of Macau, surrounded by numerous major business and tourist attractions, handy to New Yan Han, the largest shopping Center in Macau.

"Fantastic! The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Kyoto Restaurant's double dinner set; it's incredibly good value for money. To be able to have such an amazing meal in Macau for around 100 [currency, assuming MOP or HKD based on context] is unbeatable. I'll definitely be back!"

"The environment was pretty good, but they were renovating when I stayed, so there was some construction noise during the day. The front desk informed me about it beforehand. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay. There are lots of food options near the hotel, like Hee Leen Cafe and Dino Burger. It's also quite close to Rua do Cunha, about a 15-minute walk. Getting to The Venetian by taxi only takes a few minutes. I'd very likely stay here again on my next trip to Macau."

GGuest UserMeeting Selene for the first time, I was immediately struck by the genuine smile in her eyes—it wasn't a professional facade, but pure sincerity. During check-in, she quietly informed me that my room had been complimentary upgraded, as if sharing a delightful little secret. With patience, she circled authentic local eateries on the map: the beef offal hotpot downstairs, a late-night dessert shop, and the alleys near Senado Square, all within walking distance. Every detail conveyed a thoughtful 'I'm treating you like a friend' vibe. What truly impressed me was her gentle demeanor and composure. Even with the phone ringing constantly behind her, she calmly and unhurriedly answered all my questions. Selene truly brought warmth to the hotel. If Art House is Macao's artistic living room, then she is the warmest lamp in that room—making you want to return again and again.

MMengmengda2024The hotel's location is fantastic! There's a bus stop right downstairs with direct routes to the airport, Taipa Ferry Terminal, various hotels in Taipa, and even the Macau Peninsula – super convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, and the bed was nice and soft, which was great for staying with a child. All the toiletries and slippers were provided for free. Plus, there's a whole street of great eateries just downstairs. It's a shame that Yang Zhi Jin Lao, a restaurant downstairs, was under renovation during my stay and I could only order takeout. All in all, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it.

YYuyuyuyuyuyeaGreat location! The bus stop is right downstairs. The hotel is on a small hill, and if you turn left and go up a couple of slopes, you'll reach the fort. The bedding felt a bit damp, but it was acceptable. The cleanliness was very good! It's an older hotel, so it has a very retro vibe! The front desk gave us a free upgrade!

GGuest UserThe hotel room was small, but surprisingly comfortable and cozy. The best part was its fantastic location; we could walk to everything on the Macau Peninsula, and catching the Grand Lisboa shuttle to Taipa Island was incredibly convenient. The only downside was that the breakfast was the same for all four days, with very limited options.

JJillian FayeWe had a wonderful 1-night stay at City Viva Hotel Macau. The location is unbeatable—right in the city center and surrounded by great food establishments. A huge highlight was the complimentary breakfast buffet; it was delicious and really powered me up for the rest of the day! We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back if time permits!

GGuest UserThe staff were quite nice, and when I checked in at noon, the room seemed pretty good in all aspects. But then, after I came back from exploring in the evening, the nightmare began! As soon as I entered the room, there was a faint smell of smoke, but I wasn't sure where it was coming from, so I just assumed it was wafting in from outside the window (not asking to check or change rooms at that point was a big mistake). Then, around 11 or 12 o'clock, when I was getting ready for bed, the smoke smell became increasingly strong. After searching around for a long time, I finally confirmed it was almost certainly coming through the bathroom's exhaust fan or ventilation system!!! Since I was traveling alone, I didn't dare call someone to follow up in the middle of the night. I just suffered through the night until daylight, had breakfast, and left immediately. Ambiance: Smoke smell! Smoke smell! Smoke smell! Super strong! If you have rhinitis, you absolutely must avoid this place! It was so unbearable, like torture (it must have been the smoke coming from the exhaust fan in the picture 🚬).

MMinorLoganThe facilities are a bit old, and the soundproofing isn't great. Also, because it's so close to the airport, we couldn't open the windows, which led to a slight musty smell in the room. However, the big advantage is that it's just across the road from the airport, and it's super convenient to get to most places by light rail or car. For the price, I'd say it offers pretty good value for money.

AAichiroudeThe front desk was very accommodating and allowed us to check in half an hour early. Our sea-view room had an amazing view with a very open vista. The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff did a great job cleaning it every day. The soundproofing isn't the best; we could hear guests next door talking during the day, but thankfully, everyone was quiet at night. The location is also quite convenient; it's just a 7-8 minute walk across the sky bridge to Galaxy. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Macau.

GGuest UserI brought my child to Macau for a competition and only stayed one night. This room type has one large bed and a sofa bed, which was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. The room was clean and quite spacious. It's very close to the Border Gate and Qingmao Port, just a 13-minute walk away. Across the road downstairs is the Lai Lai Supermarket, and on the second floor of the hotel, there's a Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices, making it very convenient. Both the front desk and room service staff spoke Mandarin and were very friendly.
