"I stayed at The Z Hotel Bath for a short city break and was genuinely impressed. The location couldn’t be better—right in the centre of Bath, just minutes from the Roman Baths, shops, and restaurants. Everything was walkable, which made exploring super easy. The room was compact but cleverly designed, clean, and modern. I had a windowless room, which I initially wasn’t sure about, but it turned out to be quiet and great for sleeping. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with a good shower. One of the highlights was the complimentary cheese and wine served in the evening—such a lovely touch and not something you’d expect at this price point. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel really welcoming. If you’re looking for a stylish, no-fuss place to stay in Bath with a great central location and thoughtful extras, I highly recommend The Z Hotel. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in town!"

"The service at this hotel was excellent. Due to an unexpected change in our travel plans, we had to modify our original two-day stay, changing both the dates and duration. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and kindly waived any change or cancellation fees. For parking, you need to get a discount code from the front desk, which brings the cost down to £17.5. Otherwise, it's £50 for 24 hours. PS: A few days after we checked out, an unpleasant incident happened. We had definitely paid for parking when we left, but a few days later, the hotel emailed us, claiming we hadn't paid and threatening a £35 fine. My advice to anyone renting a car in the UK is to always keep your receipts for parking fees and any other similar expenses."

"The hotel room is small, the hotel waiter is bad. When we checked in at night, we told him that we wanted to add two breakfasts, and he said that we could pay for them tomorrow. We were worried that the price would be different if we paid at night and the next morning. The male waiter kept saying no, and insisted that I pay tomorrow. He said it was the same price, but the next morning, a female waiter changed and charged 3 pounds more per person. Travelers who book hotels in the future should pay attention to avoid scams. The small bridge leading into the village will stop a car and charge one pound."

"Central location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is."

"The hygiene was acceptable, but the view wasn't great, even though I booked a room with a view. The staff was very good; one even helped me with my luggage to the room because the elevator doesn't go to the third floor, so there's one flight of stairs to climb. We had a bit of a language barrier – I couldn't understand him, and I'm sure he had trouble understanding me. Plus, the fire alarm went off during check-in, which caused a long delay before I could get to my room."

"Excellent stay at a beautiful Georgian home. Room was clean and warm. Tea/ coffee hot chocolate in the room. A very lovely and central place to explore the city of Bath. Hosts were very attentive and helpful. Great choice of food for breakfast. A very lovely stay"

"Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. "The location is far away, but there are buses leaving the center within a few minutes' walk. The room is quite big and unique. There is also a living room with a sofa. The receptionist was nice. After a night out, I called an uber on my way back."
