The hotel has various baths such as cypress bath on the roof top with nice view and garden open-air bath. Meals are served by the best material in season of Hida. Dinner and breakfast will be served in room.

"Locate in center of Gero town. Near bus stop. There is private onsen that can make reservation with 3,000 yen. Anyway the ***** bath also available. It’s great view on public bath. Onsen in this town is clear water. English speaking staff with Kimono also good. Hotel also provide dinner in your room and breakfast at FL.2."

Our inn makes it a principle to provide all-natural hot spring water flowing straight from the source. We are a perfect inn to enjoy Gero's renowned hot spring.

"It is very close to the JR Takayama Line station. You can put your luggage there before visiting the town of Shimoro. It is a pure Japanese-style hotel with a 24-hour hot spring, which is comfortable. The uncle at the front desk speaks very good Chinese and is enthusiastic. He explains things clearly. The breakfast is Japanese, so you can experience the Japanese lifestyle."

A hot spring inn located on a hill above Gero Onsen. Surrounded by rich nature, the hot spring town is full of life and becomes even more atmospheric after sunset when the lights are lit.

"First, the food was pretty good. You can pre-order an extra menu for dinner; check the hotel's official website for details. Both dinner and breakfast are buffet style, and you can sit anywhere. The hotel's location is a bit inconvenient; the entire walk from Gero is uphill and exhausting. You can book a shuttle bus or take a taxi; it's about a 3-4 minute walk. This time, I chose a room with a private open-air hot spring bath, which was very comfortable. The large public bath on the second floor is also quite spacious. The hotel has a complimentary relaxation area where you can sample plum wine and fruit juice popsicles. There are massage chairs on the first floor for 300 yen for 15 minutes. The lounge on the second floor has complimentary foot massagers."

"Gero Onsen is located in one of Japan's three most famous hot springs and is famous for its high-quality hot spring water and beautiful natural environment. I had a great experience staying at a traditional ryokan in Gero Onsen. First of all, the hotel's architectural style combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comfort facilities, making people feel a strong Japanese style as soon as they step in. The service staff at the hotel were very warm and friendly. They provided me with attentive service in fluent Japanese and some English, making me feel at home. Next is the hot spring experience. The water of Gero Hot Spring is clear and rich in minerals, which has a good nourishing effect on the skin. I particularly like bathing in the open-air hot springs, especially at night. While enjoying the warm spring water and looking up at the stars, the feeling of tranquility and relaxation is indescribable. Dinner is another highlight. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is exquisite and delicious. Each dish is a work of art. It is not only delicious in color, aroma and taste, but also has fresh ingredients, which fully demonstrates the charm of Japanese cuisine. Overall, my stay at Gero Onsen was very good. I was deeply impressed by the hot springs, service and food. It was an unforgettable travel experience."

Gero Onsen is one of Japan's leading hot springs. Please enjoy the beautiful skin in the open-air bath where you can spend a relaxing time in the clear air.

"+ : beautiful, traditional Japanese hotel with nice tatami rooms. The room was spacious and confortable with all necessary amenities. The outdoor onsen was great and almost empty when I went. The breakfast buffet is ok. - : a LOT of stairs in the building (very difficult for elderly and disabled people, but also people with big suitcases!). There is a car that theoretically can pick you up at the train station or drop you off but I couldn’t use it when I arrived because I received no information on it beforehand or when I left because it only starts at 10am. The onsen is not tattoo friendly and you have to pay for the tattoo cover. Staff was kind but most of the time unable to offer solutions Overall, a beautiful ryokan but for the price, you can find better."

"Very memorable experience, the whole process from the start to leave was wonderful, touching service, perfect meal, only a little bit I'm not too used to is there is no shower in the room, it's my personal habit. But it was a very memorable journey and I am very grateful to all the staff of KKR Gero for their care and service, thank you again"

"One of our best stays during my time in Japan! The staff were very friendly. She shared with us where we should go for onsen, dinner and places to visit. Breakfast was simple but very hearty. We are touched that they considered our food restrictions and adjusted accordingly. Very thoughtful! We could also use the yucata and jacket to walk around town. Love this experience very much! The onsen is also lovely. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again. P.s they don't have yamato service if you need to deliver your baggage."

"Stayed there for two nights. In-room onsen was good, staff at reception excellent. Food was simply terrible. Rice was cold (personally it’s simply unacceptable in any Japanese restaurant except for sushi may be?), the chef seems to enjoy making fusion dishes (and except that they were unappetising). To name but a few, we had strawberry mousse for starter, tofu (which was bitter) and pickles with miso for mains, and who’d put diced apple in an apple sorbet?? (Felt as though I was biting into ice cubes). The waitress was also extremely impatient and rushed us through our meals (we finished our dinners within 35 minutes, breakfasts 20). I honestly cannot recommend this hotel. Sorry, but no."

"The service was excellent, however, the hotel breakfast was quite mediocre. The price is reasonable for Gero, and it's conveniently located very close to the JR station. Overall, it's an excellent value-for-money option, and the open-air bath was also very pleasant."

Gero Hongyekan Wanboting is really great! In Japan's three famous springs, Geroizumi, the service is very good. There is an open-air bath on the roof of a sister hotel, and there is a car to pick up and drop off at any time from 9 to 12 in the evening, which is very convenient. The water quality is so good, the sun that soaks up the skin will slide down when it falls on it. A wonderful hotel experience! The beauty at the front desk drove me out to buy urgently needed products when I was in an emergency. Every detail was great. The Japanese-style room was also spacious. I really like this place. I will definitely go again if I have a chance, and I will definitely stay here again. hotel. Breakfast is included, and the environment and ceremony are very beautiful! The hotel itself has indoor and outdoor hot springs. When it snows, get up early in the morning to soak in that outdoor hot spring, which is quiet and beautiful! Its sister pavilion has a very strange inclined elevator, and the hot spring water is the smoothest I have ever soaked in.

JJungseokExperienced the best satisfaction at a ryokan and not expensive price. The building is old and old, but it was well maintained and clean, and unlike the appearance, the interior was quite spacious. The owner's family were very friendly and provided the best service and meals. The hot springs are small too, but the water is very good, clean. It's a place I definitely want to visit again later. Thank you! :)

SSHENGXUANThe location of the hotel is very partial, not in Gero, it is at Hida osaka station. It takes about half an hour by JR from Takayama to arrive. It is a very, very small platform. After getting off the train, there are no people in a radius of 10 kilometers. All shops are closed. If you don’t make it in advance Raiders will probably cry out at the station because of helplessness. We took the address and took the bus. This is an original hot spring hotel with a century of history, full of human touch and warmth. Most of them are Japanese locals who come to soak in the hot springs by themselves. The hotel owner and staff do not speak English at all. They rely on the lame translation machine➕sign language to communicate. When entering the store, they will first make an appointment for the bath time, which is only 40 minutes. It seems that there is no need to make an appointment outside. For breakfast, all Japanese-style home cooking is exquisite and there are many types. After taking you to the room, Obasan was very polite. He felt sorry for us because the room was still cold. There were two hot water bottles in the bed. Quanyuekan is named for the high concentration of carbonated springs. The two pools have a lower temperature inside and a higher temperature outside. There is hot spring water at the entrance of the male bath that you can drink directly. It is soda water. The mask paper is provided, you can go directly in to get the hot spring water to apply, or you can feel the bubbling under the bottom, and the skin will be slippery after soaking. Inadequate: the location is really biased! Although the dinner and breakfast provided are very rich, it is inevitable that you will be lonely in this wilderness! You need to bring your own dry food! There are no other activities except bathing, the hotel is very, very quiet! Compare

YYuzuojianThe shaking of the elevator 🛗 spills the cup of coffee. I felt very dangerous. Welcome drinks were very good. The service of Oden 🍢 and Ramen 🍜 is the best. The private open-air bath was not good, but the underground bath was good. For dinner, grilled meat on a pottery plate 🥩 Hobamiso is delicious. Free alcohol drinks were also good. The water splitting of the sub-flowing water in Hida was the most fun. At breakfast, Orange 🍊 was very sweet and delicious. I wish I had ice cream. In terms of price, I will give you a passing score. In addition, please provide customer service. I would like to use it again. Fireworks 🎇 also looked a little!
