"This hotel is located just 2 steps away from the railway station. Also, before the train arrives, it is announced. So I thought that would be an issue during the night. Fortunately, I didn't hear anything and I had quiet nights. Apart from the trains, there is a bus stop nearby, which is really convenient. The room is small but comfortable, it has everything you need to rest and sleep. The WiFi upload speed was good. If you don't want your room to be cleaned, you will have a free drink or something else. The public bath (artificial onsen) is OK to try once. The water was around 41°C, which is warm for me, not hot. When I have a shower, the temperature can be higher! But that wasn't an issue for me because I didn't come to the hotel for that. The breakfast was included, so I ate it every morning before departing to another location. The meals are good, you can choose various products. Also, the restaurant is open during the evening, I tried it once, and it was good. If you want to visit the town, it is OK for 1 day (or several hours) and that's all. You may get a feeling that you are in an anime if you walk near the river in the tourist part. So, I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. If I come to that town again, I will definitely choose that hotel."

The Hotel Housen Sawara provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Hotel Housen Sawara offers a pleasant stay in Katori for those traveling for business or leisure. With Sawara Station just 900m away and Narita International Airport only 26km away, transportation is very convenient. Famous local attractions Toyohashi Bridge, Kawagishi Park and Shogon-ji Temple, can all be reached with a short walk. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city.

"It's far from the station, but I thought there was no problem because there seems to be a transfer. There is only one large communal bath and the time for men and women is decided. I'm glad I happened to be in the time from 20:00 to 21:00. There are no shops around, but if you enter by 21 o'clock, there is a simple restaurant in the hotel, so it will be helpful. The room was 😭 that the tile carpet was not dirty. The bath is a three-point unit, so I want to use the large communal bath. The room has a kitchen. Hotel staff feels good"

"We were looking forward to the The Farm stay to end our fiat Japan trip. We were 3 kids below 10 and 2 adults. The best parts of the trip were, 1. Staff - mai and Narumi were very helpful. Mai especially took a lot of trouble to explain everything at the farm by using Google translate. Even the staff at the cafe at breakfast time and reception were all very very nice, though I don’t have their names. 2. Hot springs - was super experience and we loved it. Everything clean and proper and very comfortable, even though we were walking around naked. 3. Rooms- I stayed at Habita. It was good and kids loved it quite a bit. The loft, the futon on top, though the projector didn’t work too well. 4. Strawberry farm trip was amazing. The strawberries were all super nice and melting in the mouth with the right textures and flavours. Even better if? 1. BBQ- we wanted to do a bbq. Habita package didn’t come with free BBQ. The cost to do one was crazy expensive. 3,300 per adult and 2,200 per child just for ‘equipment’ cost. That’s 13,000yen or around USD80, without any meats or anything. Felt really excessive, so we opted out. 2. Board and card games- our family wanted to play some board games and there were plenty of those at the reception. When we asked if we could get a pack of UNO, we were told it was only for the ‘cottage’ occupants. Considering most of the property was empty, it was a bit sad that they did not allow us a pack to play with. 3. Though not the fault of the property, the lack of any public transport and the very taxi costs to outside world for anything was a negative. It would have been even better if they could arrange a couple of more shuttles to narita or to local town etc."

"Undoubtedly one of the best hostels I stayed so far. I went off-season, so there is not much travellers around. But the place is cozy enough to keep you occupied. There are workdesks and also books and manga. The location is near the sawara boat tour so you can just line up without reservation. The place itself also holds seasonal events like workshop and gatherings. Best to check out their website and you can time your visit during those periods."
