"They communicated in advance to confirm the arrival time and even had someone waiting for us at the JR gate – a truly considerate gesture. We escorted us directly to our room (which is essentially a standalone building) for check-in. After introducing the room facilities, we arranged the breakfast delivery and station drop-off time for the next day, so there was absolutely no need to worry about transportation. The bus ride from the hotel to the station was only 5 minutes.
The room was fully equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, and safe. Sockets and USB charging ports were conveniently located on both sides of the bed. There were two bathrooms; the showerhead had strong water pressure, and there was a huge soaking tub. The only downside was the shower gel – the formula contained rice, grapefruit, etc., and it smelled rather unpleasant. The air conditioning and underfloor heating worked well; it was below freezing outside, but above 20 degrees Celsius inside.
Breakfast arrived on time, featuring local ingredients – simple yet delicious."

"A hot spring with the highest acidity that can be reached by bus or rental car. The inn itself is a bit old, but the rice and bath were good. I want to relax again."

"As luxurious as one can expect. Beautiful place in a secluded natural environment with lavish service and delicious food. The bath are very well prepared and the staff is extremely kind and attentive.
It is a hard ask but it would be nice to have some western options at breakfast. But of course this is a Japanese traditional inn yet these options would feel even more luxurious.
Some of the decoration feels a bit either dated, kitsch or not being harmonious, I think they need a redesign of the furnitures are it looks more like an assemblage than a harmonious selection of decoration and furnitures. It’s a little on the weird side even sometimes!
But the bedding is exceptional. You will have a great sleep at this stay!"

"All the employees were friendly and enjoyed. I was surprised at the deliciousness of the rice in the morning and evening, and I was impressed with the Akita rice.
I think he's good at cooking. However, I thought it would be best if the location of the inn was along the street and there was a little more mountain side or greenery.
I wanted to stay again."

"This was my first time staying at Shin-Tamagawa Onsen. The lobby was spacious and clean. My room was a twin, and the bed was spacious.
The hot springs exceeded my expectations, and my body felt a bit tingly, but I later learned that there was a waiting list. The second time, I made sure to start with the weak acidity bath, so it was fine. The food was buffet-style, and included many dishes not available at other hotels, and was very delicious. It's a hotel I'd like to return to many times."
A panoramic sunset view of Lake Tazawa from the inn Enjoy the milky outdoor hor spring
"Self-driving visit Tianze Lake, enjoy the good choice of soup!

Thank you for the warm hospitality of the owner and his wife. Breakfast and dinner are all local seasonal ingredients. You can also experience the farmwork by the way. I hope to visit again in different seasons.
The location is decent. You can take the Nyuto Line bus from Lake Tazawa to the resort center station. You can either arrange for the hotel to pick you up or walk for 15-20 minutes (though it's a bit tough with luggage due to an uphill section).
The main draw of this hotel is the complimentary shuttle to Tsuru-no-Yu for an hour of hot spring bathing at 8 PM.
Dinner and breakfast are included and the food is pretty good.
The hotel service is excellent. With only a few guest rooms, it feels very private and is perfect for a relaxing stay of 1-2 nights.
If you have time to go to Tianze Lake, it is recommended to choose this one. The location is right by the lake. The windows of the lake room are very large. You can see the whole lake view and enter the eye. Don't want the beauty. It is just that the traffic is slightly inconvenient and you need to take the round-the-hu bus at Tamako JR Station to get there, but the beauty of the lake view can offset all the inconvenience. The French cuisine for dinner is very delicious and exquisite.
The hotel is new and clean. Although the room is small and there is no breakfast restaurant, the service staff are enthusiastic and friendly.
The location is excellent, in the center of Kakunodate, near Samurai House, Hinoki Uchigawa and local specialty restaurants. It was a pleasant stay experience!
Great location, but the rooms are a bit dusty.
The girl at the reception in not the most friendly/smiley, but they were nice as they kept my bag for 1 night and when I mistakenly booked for 2pax they agreed to make me pay for 1pax (after I asked).
Overall ok.
The room can put up to four floors. The area is still very good. The wet and dry separation. The hot spring is separated by men and women. You can also come to the room at night. The room is also very clean.
