"The renovated hotel is fantastic. This time I stayed in a room with a private hot spring bath, and soaking in the hot spring with a direct view of the snow was amazing. The only downside was that while the food was exquisite, the portions were small; it would be even better if that could be improved."

"The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but the service attitude is very good. The rooms all have large views and are facing the river. The rooms have bathrooms and toilets so you don’t have to go out. The hotel has a car to take you to Nipple Hot Spring and a free car to the station. The surrounding environment of the hotel is good. Beautiful snow scenery and waterfalls, the whole thing is fine."

"The location is decent. You can take the Nyuto Line bus from Lake Tazawa to the resort center station. You can either arrange for the hotel to pick you up or walk for 15-20 minutes (though it's a bit tough with luggage due to an uphill section). The main draw of this hotel is the complimentary shuttle to Tsuru-no-Yu for an hour of hot spring bathing at 8 PM. Dinner and breakfast are included and the food is pretty good. The hotel service is excellent. With only a few guest rooms, it feels very private and is perfect for a relaxing stay of 1-2 nights."

"High-class accommodation with free parking and complimentary onsen bath (hot spring bath) available for reservation. The onsen bath is comfortable, the rooms are large, and the beds are comfortable. Located halfway up the mountain, it's an 8-minute drive from Lake Tazawa. Perfect for a swim followed by a shower. The food included with the two meals provided for one night's stay was excellent. The staff were friendly, and each dish was served separately, making for a very pleasant dining experience."

"This was my first time staying at Shin-Tamagawa Onsen. The lobby was spacious and clean. My room was a twin, and the bed was spacious. The hot springs exceeded my expectations, and my body felt a bit tingly, but I later learned that there was a waiting list. The second time, I made sure to start with the weak acidity bath, so it was fine. The food was buffet-style, and included many dishes not available at other hotels, and was very delicious. It's a hotel I'd like to return to many times."
