"Best choice for me! I wish I had stayed here the whole time! Perfect location! Easy check-in and check-out process. There's even a luggage storage for when you arrive early before check-in or leave late after check-out. You can use your transpo card for it. The room is new and neat, keycard access! Bed is comfy, bathroom is well maintained. Free breakfast for guests. It's near the Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and Nakamise Shopping Street. There's a Don Quijote nearby for some discounted items, tax-free option as well. Train stations are walking distance away. There are many restaurants in the area, and can never go wrong with Lawson and Family Mart for when you go hungry at odd hours. I loved it! Will definitely stay here again!"

"Near to subway Kayabacho station, must exit 3, then turm let and walk abt 300 to reach hotel. I want to special mention a male receptionist named Terashima, despite our language barrier between both of us, he was still trying to help to check in and keep my bags at a safe place. hotel room is too small, aircond is powerful and water pressure at the bathroom is superb. will come back and stay again"

"An extremely satisfying stay. Despite the room's compact size, a huge plus was its ability to comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. This is particularly valuable in Tokyo, where guests aged 15 and over are considered adults – many other hotels explicitly prohibit this, often requiring you to book an additional room.
The location is superb; there's a 7-Eleven conveniently located on the ground floor, and plenty of cafes and restaurants are right around the corner. Ikebukuro subway station and several major shopping malls are all within a 10-minute walk. "The E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku in Tokyo proved to be a fantastic choice for my recent stay! Its location couldn't be more convenient, being right next to the metro station made exploring Shinjuku and the rest of Tokyo incredibly easy.
I was thoroughly impressed with the excellent room service – prompt and efficient. The information staff were also incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with any questions.
The only minor drawback, and this is quite common in Tokyo, was the size of the room. It was on the smaller side, but it was impeccably clean, well-designed to maximize space, and perfectly adequate for my needs.
Overall, the E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku's prime location, outstanding service, and friendly staff more than compensated for the compact room size. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable base in the heart of Shinjuku."

"The hotel service was excellent, and the rooms were decent. The surrounding area offers plenty of supermarkets and dining options, making it very convenient. Getting back from Disneyland was also a breeze, as it's just one bus stop away by bus. However, there was a notable issue: at night, women involved in solicitation were loitering outside the Family Mart right next to the hotel, and men were actively approaching tourists. This situation was quite bothersome."

GGuest UserI stayed in this hotel for just one night in Tokyo and found that this hotel's location is very good, which is just about 2 minutes walk from the subway to the hotel. Its room size is reasonable, though it's not big, but the 2 baggage were able to be opened at the same time. I will pick this hotel again if I travel to Tokyo next time.

AAnonymous UserGreat location just 2mins walk from station. A nice touch in providing light snacks/drinks for teatime, cocktails/sparkling wine from 5-7pm happy hour and ochazuke for supper. The single room is of a comfortable size allowing me to pack and unpack a medium size luggage. There is daily housekeeping which is becoming uncommon in my stays this trip. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful and speaks good English.
Only area of improvement is the toilet bowl emitting a sewage odour when flushed. I am unsure if this is isolated to the room I stayed.

Ssummer2018Everything was excellent, aside from the room being a bit on the small side. It's incredibly close to Senso-ji Temple, just a 3-5 minute walk away. The subway station is a little further, but still manageable. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store conveniently located nearby. The front desk thoughtfully provided DHC facial cleanser and basic skincare items, and we received complimentary bottled water daily. Our first day's check-in was self-service. On the day of our departure, there was a staff member at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which was very helpful. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

GGuest UserThe overall location is quite good, just a 2-minute walk from Akihabara JR Station. There’s a Family Mart, Denny’s, and McDonald’s downstairs, so it’s very convenient to grab food quickly at any time.
Although the room isn’t large, which I believe is a characteristic of Tokyo, it is clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The entire journey would have ended pleasantly until we encountered a bald, tall male front desk clerk in the lobby. He did two things that made guests’ impressions of the hotel plummet.
If you can’t recognize him from my description of his appearance, there’s another way—he is the most passive-aggressive service staff member I’ve encountered in all of Japan.
First: We lost a room key. We admitted it directly at checkout and were willing to accept any form of compensation. He stated that we needed to pay 2000 Yen, and while we were taking out the money, he couldn’t resist making a few passive-aggressive remarks. It was as if guests coming for a vacation needed to accept his accusations and moral judgments.
The second incident: We checked out on the morning of the 5th and indicated that we would be checking in again on the 6th (we went to Fuji that night). The hotel staff saw our reservation for the 6th in the system and directed us to store our luggage in the storage room next to the elevator. When we checked in on the afternoon of the 6th, we suddenly found that our luggage was missing. At that point, we encountered the bald clerk again. He said to us: “Why didn’t you tell us you were storing your luggage for more than one day?”
We expressed our confusion and explained it kindly. I’m not sure if he had a comprehension issue or just wasn’t thinking clearly, but he kept insisting, “You should have told us in advance next time.” This request seemed to suggest to the guests: “Yes, we’re unprofessional, but so what? You could remind us. Since you didn’t remind us, it’s your fault. Please remind me next time that I’m unprofessional!”
I don’t understand why the hotel system has information displayed yet the hotel still makes mistakes. Guests check into hotels for vacation, not to endure his moral judgments and accusations. It seems like making people feel miserable is the goal and attitude of his work.
This otherwise nice hotel loses significant points because of this employee, which is really unfortunate.

房间虽然不大，我相信这是东京特色了，但是整体干净整洁、设备齐全。
本身整个journey都会愉快的结束，直到我们遇到了大堂一位光头、身高较高的男性前台服务员。他干了两件事情让客人给这个酒店的印象跌入谷底。
如果你没有通过我对他外观的表述辨认他，还有一个方式——他是整个日本说话最passive aggresive的服务生了
第一：我们弄丢了一张房卡。我们直接在退房时承认并愿意接受任何形式的赔偿。他表述需要支付2000 Yen，我们在掏钱的时候，他也不忘passive aggressive的说上几句风凉话。仿佛客人来度假入住是需要来接受他的指责与道德审判。
第二件事：我们在5th早晨退房，并表明将会在6th再次入住（我们5th当晚去fuji游玩了）。该酒店的服务人员从电脑system中看到了我们6th的订单，并指引我们把行李寄存在电梯旁边的storage room。当我们6th下午办理入住时，缺猛然发现我们的行李不见了。这时，我们再次遇到了这名光头服务员。他对我们说：你们为什么不告诉我们你们要寄存more than 1 day
我们表示不解，并友好解释，他不知道是理解能力有问题还是就是脑子不清醒，一直说：你们下次要提前和我们说。这个要求仿佛是在对客人说：没错，我们工作不专业，那又如何，你们可以提醒我们呀。既然你们没有提醒我们，那你们有问题，下次请提醒不专业的我哦！
我不明白酒店系统都有显示的信息，为何酒店还会犯错。并且客人来酒店入住是度假，并不是来接受他道德的审判与指责的。把人的心情弄得很糟糕大概是他工作的目的与态度把。
这个整体不错的酒店，因为有这个员工而大大扣分，实在是可惜

GGuest UserThe hotel seemed to be popular (there were problems finding a seat at breakfast even in the early hours) and uninviting/soulless. The wait for the elevator was extremely long; there are two, which is not enough for the number of rooms.
The audibility is too good and when guests are checking out at night, you can hear all the commotion in the hallway and behind the wall.
The room itself is very small, which is typical for Japan. Cleanliness is very important to me, but there were some stains on the bed linen and the carpet was a bit dirty. The bathroom was also small, but everything was acceptable.
I liked that there was always access to water on the second floor and that the dining area was periodically transformed into a public library.
This hotel is fine for a day or two, but not a particularly enjoyable one. We found it more convenient to stay in the Asakusa area, where getting around is easier.

__WeChat264691****The hotel boasts an excellent location. With a subway exit right outside, it's incredibly convenient for getting around. The Ginza shopping district is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby – everything you could need! While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are spotlessly clean. A major plus is the onsen (hot spring) facility, and they even provide a high-quality Refa hairdryer. Highly recommend!

Ssulee17Dormy Inn Ueno-Okachimachi boasts an excellent location, being just the shortest walk from Ueno Station. On our way, we even spotted a Torikizoku sign, and we ended up dining there one evening. Of course, with so many restaurants right across from the hotel and in the surrounding area, my 'choice paralysis' definitely kicked in!
The main reason we chose Dormy Inn was for its large public bath, complete with complimentary popsicles and Yakult after a relaxing soak. Breakfast was also fantastic; the fried shrimp in the morning was absolutely divine. The breakfast was so substantial that we stayed full throughout our two-day stay, meaning we even skipped their complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night ramen) in the evenings.
The hotel only has one elevator, so there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. From our room, we had a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Despite being right next to the Shuto Expressway, there was absolutely no traffic noise, which speaks volumes about their excellent soundproofing.

It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but thankfully there are plenty of restaurants and shops along the way. The amenities and services were great; they provided fresh towels and water daily. The breakfast was especially good and plentiful.

GGuest UserIt’s our first time in Tokyo. My family and I stayed in standard double bedrooms which have windows. We are really impressed with the hotel’s service. They have luggage deposit service for free. You can deposit your luggage before you check in and after you check out. They adjusted the direction of the escalator for us. The overall of rooms’ size and hotel is quite small, but it doesn’t bother that much. The location is so great that you can visit many famous shops like Uniqlo, Donki, GU near the place. And, it’s near a market and the train station including KS line. The restaurants near here are nice. The food tasted so delicious, even if we just randomly chose to eat. However, Ueno has a lot of clubs, so at night there’re several girls standing alongside the street with their guards. It may seem dangerous for someone.
