"An honest review, straight to the point 👇 The hotel is very small and mainly suitable just for sleeping, with no real comfort. The services are extremely limited: there is only a kettle for hot water. There is no microwave, no stove, and the fridge is very small and shared by the entire hostel, not private to the room, which is inconvenient especially for longer stays. In terms of comfort, the place is very basic and not suitable for anyone looking for proper facilities, cooking options, or a comfortable stay. That said, the one strong point is the location: it’s excellent and very close to markets and public transportation, which saves a lot of time and effort. Bottom line: If you’re on a tight budget and mainly care about location, it can work. If you want space, comfort, or real services, it’s better to look for another option."

"The best hotel I have stayed in Tokyo! The location is a stone throw from Shibuya station, the room is amazingly big to open up 2 large luggages and 1 medium luggage at the same time, there is also complimentary snacks for hotel guests from 6.30pm to 10pm. The only downside seems to be there is no heater in the room for winter season (or maybe its just me that doesnt know how to operate 😆). I strongly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!"

"The room was very compact, which is fairly normal for Tokyo, but keeping luggage open was definitely a challenge. I wouldn’t recommend the queen bed for two plus-size guests, as space is quite limited. The location is great, away from the busy city center but still close and convenient to get into Tokyo. One downside was the lack of full room cleaning; only towel changes were offered, which felt a bit letdown for a multi-night stay. Amenities were decent and what you’d expect from a business hotel. There’s also a common coin laundry just a block away, which is convenient since the hotel doesn’t provide one. Overall, it was good value for the price, and staying here is a great way to be more budget friendly while remaining close to central Tokyo."

Hotel near Shinbashi,Tokyo
A 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station. Close to the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Station, Ginza, and more, this hotel is extremely convenient for sightseeing in Tokyo. It's also close to Tokyo Tower and located along the JR Yamanote Line, making travel very easy. The room type is a mixed-gender dormitory room.

"For the last two days of my trip to Japan, I returned to Tokyo and booked a different capsule hotel this time. The Shinbashi KON Hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, which provides you with a password. It's available 24/7 and very introvert-friendly! The hotel has a total of 3 floors. B1 houses the lounge, laundry room, and showers, while floors 1 and 2 are dedicated to capsule rooms, which are co-ed. Starting with B1, the lounge has reading lights at every seat, plus a fridge, microwave, and sink for simple food preparation. The shower room has over 10 cubicles and 7-8 vanity areas, each equipped with a hairdryer. There's also an abundance of towels available at the entrance. Overall, it's very convenient and offers a good experience. Now, regarding the capsule rooms: each floor's restroom has 4 cubicles, one of which is for men only and contains only urinals. This design seems to maximize efficiency. The hotel's attention to detail is commendable. For instance, the co-ed restrooms are stocked with feminine hygiene products for emergencies, and earplugs are provided in every capsule. These are the strong points of this capsule hotel. However, compared to the other one I stayed at, its drawbacks are also quite noticeable. Firstly, there's no elevator, so climbing stairs repeatedly can be a pain, especially if you have a large suitcase. Secondly, the capsule facilities are quite basic, with just one light and one power outlet. The capsule height is a bit low; my long winter coat, which could hang freely in the other capsule hotel, couldn't here. Finally, each person only gets a very small locker, roughly big enough for a shoulder bag. Neither a backpack nor a suitcase will fit, so everyone's luggage ends up piled in the hallway."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! For just 260, it had everything I needed. I was only staying in Tokyo for one night before heading to Disneyland the next day. I arrived at Narita T1 in the evening and followed the signs to take the shuttle bus, which got me to the hotel very quickly. Self-check-in was a breeze. The room was standard and there was no noise at night. You can scan the QR code in image 3 to learn more about the hotel. The best part? For 260, you also get a self-service breakfast, and it was all delicious! Talk about great value! There's a 24-hour Lawson convenience store right downstairs. The next morning, I took the bus back to the terminal and then caught the direct Disneyland bus from there (you can store your luggage at the terminal first). This route was super easy and convenient! Seriously, fantastic value for money!"

"Very convenient right next to the train station to HND or NRT and big shopping malls footstep from hotel. However, the hygiene is really not up to standard. Found a lot of hairs on bathroom wall on the first night. And also the bed linen was also dirty and dusty. The breakfast was even worse, with so little options and things were cold. If you have requirement on breakfast, I would suggest you not to buy the breakfast!"

"The room was bigger than I expected, with enough space for a 28-inch suitcase, perfect for a solo trip. The only downside was the soundproofing, so I'd recommend going to the common area on the first floor for phone calls. The hygiene was excellent; everything was very clean, and there were no strange odors in the common areas. As for the environment, it's conveniently located near Minami-Senju Station, with easy access to both JR and subway lines, just a few minutes' walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants near the subway station."

Stay in one of 151 guestrooms featuring LCD televisions. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature deep soaking bathtubs and complimentary toiletries. Conveniences include phones, as well as laptop-compatible safes and desks.

"Quite hard to find, even though it is near Akebonobashi station (exit A2), which is an exit without the escalator. There are lots of convenience store around, so it's good for midnight snack. One can walk to the Shinjuku Gyoen park, so that's very good location. The lighting in the room is rather confusing to manage (the first hotel with this remote-controlled only lighting, no switch!), took me 5-10 minute to figure out how to turn off the light without taking out the central card! It should have been made more obvious during check in (yes, there is an instruction book, but no one would flip it in the middle of the night to find out how to turn off the main light!)"

SSuSinWCZFirst time staying at Tokyo and not very familiar with Tokyo hotel room size. The room has a queen size bed and still has space to open luggage wide. If you booking 2 x double room, please do expect your room will be at separate floor as staff told us they only have 1 double room at each floor. Location cannot be better with 7-11 and Ichiran right beside the hotel, Mcd and many drug stores and eateries nearby within 5 mins walk. Personally I think is very suitable for family with elderly and young children. So for whoever are tired wanted to go back to hotel first, it’s very convenient.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right outside Akihabara subway station, and breakfast also offers a street view. Check-in was semi-self-service, and while not many words were exchanged, the staff seemed a bit cold, and it was the same at check-out. Cleanliness is impeccable, as is typical in Japan – everything is very clean. Breakfast, as pictured, was neither good nor bad. Overall, I highly recommend it. It's great value for money, and I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Akihabara.

DDazelThe hotel is conveniently located within steps from Kyobashi Station, but also a leisurely 10 min walk to Tokyo Station, making it a good place to set up base. While the room is on the older side, it makes up for it with an all-day lounge with free snacks, happy hour and ochazuke.

GGuest UserReally enjoy my stay here, the location is unbeatable since it's walking distance to many metro lines, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating, the onsen is also very clean, the juice bar in the morning and bar in the evening were also great touches. There is only one elevator but I didn't find it to be a deal breaker, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

MmtmlCleaning is chargeable at 1.5k yen per clean. Otherwise no cleaning whatsoever - but they do give you new towels and a trash bag daily (hung on your door knob). Breakfast is pretty cute and homely - I liked it when I tried it at a different province, so I rebooked dormy inn. They have a luggage scale at level 2, so very convenient if you have been shopping like crazy. The shopping street around the area is pretty interesting, and I love uneo park. However, some pretty strange stuff during my stay: 1. They insisted on entering my room for an ”inspection” but didn't specify why. When I called to ask, they said it was a bedframe inspection. As a solo female traveler my preference is not to let random people into my room, especially if they're not going to clean after these external people enter, but reception said they couldn't wait until my stay was over a few days later. When I came back to the room, my blanket was shifted and untucked entirely from one side, and my electronics were moved around. 2. A bug appeared on my sink mirror, so I gave feedback to the hotel staff as mini bugs means there's more bugs, and suggested that they fumigate. They said ”oh... sorry” suddenly all proceeded to look away from me and pretend I didn't exist, which was super weird treatment, and very rude lol. I didn't even ask them to change my room, the point is that these bugs are likely to have infestations, and if I came back in another trip to this hotel, I would not like to see more. They didn't even bother asking me what floor I was on, so 100% they don't seem to have any intention of dealing with this. Very weird and poor behaviour - I think it was too much to expect Onyado Nono service in Dormy Inn, so I don't think I will come back.

There’s a FamilyMart, AEON, and many delicious and reasonably priced restaurants nearby. You can walk to Tobu Department Store every day for shopping. The hotel offers a welcome drink available anytime, and there is a separate onsen for men and women. In the evening at 6:00 PM, there is a free happy hour with drinks—perfect for alcohol lovers. My husband really loved it. The amenities are also of good quality. If I visit Japan again, I would definitely choose to stay here—the price is very reasonable too.

PPrincessPattingThe room was perfect for our family since everyone had their own bed. The beds were comfortable, which made resting after long days of sightseeing easy. The only downside was limited space if you’re traveling with large luggage. The hotel’s location is very convenient it’s close to the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. There’s also a grocery store and a FamilyMart right outside the hotel, which was very helpful. The laundry area was another nice bonus for families traveling longer.
