The bathroom was always clean, the floors were well-maintained, and toiletries were fully stocked. The towels provided were clean and regularly changed by housekeeping. I also found common areas like the lobby, corridors, and elevators to be consistently neat and well-maintained. Regarding food, the breakfast provided had a fairly diverse selection. There were local and international dishes suitable for various tastes. Food was always replenished, and the restaurant staff consistently ensured the dining area was clean. The food taste was also satisfying and of good quality. Although there were some menu items that could be improved, overall, the dining experience at this hotel was good. Other facilities provided also added value to my stay. The swimming pool was clean and suitable for the whole family. The fitness center was also equipped with sufficient basic equipment for daily workouts. Furthermore, the stable internet access made it easy for me to handle work and connect with family and friends throughout my stay. What I appreciated most was the hotel staff's willingness to help. All my inquiries and requests were handled quickly and professionally. They demonstrated a high level of customer service and always strived to ensure guests felt comfortable throughout their stay. However, there were a few minor things that could be improved. These included somewhat long elevator wait times during peak hours and slightly limited parking options when the hotel was full. Nevertheless, these issues did not significantly impact my overall experience. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The combination of a strategic location, comfortable rooms, high cleanliness standards, good food, and friendly service from the staff makes this hotel an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. "Stayed for the 2nd time. Overall the location of the hotel is a strong advantage. So convenient walking distance to a variety of food options from mamak, nasi bryani, western food to pastry & coffee cafe. Basic toiletries only bottled body wash & shampoo provided. 3D2N stay but no room cleaning service provided eventho ‘please clean room’ sign was displayed. Was disappointing because our 1st stay at this hotel also no room cleaning service provided."

"It is close to the airport. That’s the only positive. Old and in need of maintenance. Air conditioning so noisy you have to turn it off to sleep. Evidence of mould in bathroom and bedroom."

"Fantastic Family Holiday– Great Food and Perfect Location!” ”Our stay at Hotel Pen Mutiara was absolutely wonderful! One of the biggest highlights was the huge room we stayed in—it was incredibly spacious, making it perfect for the family, and remarkably clean from top to bottom. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious; we particularly loved the Ikan siakap tiga rasa, which is a must-try for anyone visiting. After our meal, we spent a relaxing afternoon by the swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained, providing a great escape from the Penang heat. The location is also unbeatable for sightseeing. It is located very near to the Aquarium Tunku Abdul Rahman (Fisheries Department Research Institute), which made our morning outing so convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent local flavors and easy access to nearby attractions!”"

"Nice spacious unit suitable for family of 4. Easy check in check out. Just follow the instructions. Next to kedai Makan Kayu and Arab street corner shop serves tasty kunafe. The team let us keep bags until 2PM which is much appreciated"

"Room is spacious and clean. Located around 20 mins to penang airport. Free parking is provided but registration is needed. Parking floor from 7th floor to 10th floor. Towel, body and hair shampoo is provided. Water pressure is high. Sadly, no extra toilet paper is provided. No water dispenser, may need to buy from outside. *tv might have some technical problems 😶"

"This accommodation is located right in front of Nasi Kandar Penang Kayu which opens 24 hours. Queensbay mall is nearby and only takes around 15 mins to the airport (subject to traffic) so as we only stayed 1 night to catch an early flight, it was convenient - location wise. No wifi provided though. Really have table tennis/ping pong table, dart games and movie (we didnt watch any) as seen on the pictures. The building is a bit outdated though. The tenant contacted us directly via Whatsapp and the explanation about the facility was very very clear and helpful."
