"Newly renovated with great self-service check in system, though some details need attention. Overall, I really liked the newly renovated room. The self-service process is seamless, and the message guidelines are very clear—though the video quality could be improved, it was still easy enough to understand. A few things to note: Parking: The underground car park doesn't have a direct link to the main building (likely because it's an older building that was refurbished). Room Details: The bedsheets were worn to the point of pilling ,and the curtain holder fell off during my stay, possibly due to the wall material. Despite these minor maintenance issues, I was satisfied with the renovation details. Everything still feels very fresh and new!"

"I researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”. If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past. Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years. Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel. It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler. Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip! Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet. Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's location is great, and it has its own underground parking with plenty of spaces, which is perfect for guests traveling by car. The breakfast was also good, I liked it. The room was spacious and comfortable. I did notice that the pillowcases hadn't been changed, but after mentioning it to the front desk, they quickly brought us new ones, which was satisfactory."

"Cititel Express - Great Value in a Prime Location! I had a pleasant stay at Cititel Express. While the rooms are not particularly spacious, they are very clean and well-maintained. The staff were courteous, friendly, and genuinely helpful — they even allowed us an early check-in, which was much appreciated. The hotel has a convenience store on-site, which is super handy. Location-wise, it’s excellent! Just a 5-minute walk to Concubine Lane, with plenty of eateries and attractions nearby, including the Han Chin Pet Soo Museum, Ho Yan Hor Museum, and the beautiful 22 Hale Street Heritage Gallery. The Kinta River is right across the road, making for a nice view and easy stroll. The room was equipped with all the essentials: a good fridge, safe, powerful cold air-conditioning, and excellent water pressure in the shower. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Ipoh. Highly recommended!"

"A big corner house with 9 rooms. Spacious hall living room with TV channels. Dining set with tablewares. No stove no utensil for cooking. A fridge, microwave and water dispenser with hot, warm and cold water. Downstairs has a shared toilet too. Clean and nice. Last minute 5pm on the spot booked this unit. Instant confirmation and easy self check in instantly. Fast response from the incharge person. I booked Family room for 5pax on the first floor. 2 bedrooms with a joint toilet. Room8 spacious 1king 1single. Room9 1queen. Very comfy thick beds. TV in the room cannot be used. Old mother need to go downstairs to watch TV at the living hall. Its fine quite convenient and comfy to sit in the living. Greeting many guests coming in and out haha. Very affordable price. Nearby restaurants and attractions. Great stay! Thanks!"

"I truly feel fortunate and lucky to have discovered this HIDDEN JEM of a Hotel! It is Centrally Located in IPOH, Malaysia and Shopping and Restaurants are closeby and within walking distance! The room was spacious, clean and with a very comfortable bed too! The Room rates are quite reasonable and a great overall value. I think what sets this Artistic Hotel apart from others is the 5-Star Service provided by each and every member of the Team! I had the pleasure to meet the General Manager, Front Desk staff and Room Attendenta and each and everyone had a positive attitude and genuinely cared if I was happy at ALL times. I believe they went above and beyond ALL of my expectations to ensure I was 110% SATISFIED with my stay. YES, QUITE FRANKLY, I WAS 110% SATISFIED WITH MY STAY AND HOPEFULLY I'LL BE BACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND WOULD LOVE TO STAY HERE AGAIN! ¡Gracias Amigos! Señor Ricardo"

"Location within 10mins walking distance to tourist spots. Shower water was good enough. Cleanliness needs to be much improved. The bed sheet and blanket were not cleaned and stained. The screen of the television was broken. Roadside parking space was very limited, although a covered “parking garage”provided, the scary and steep narrow entrance need to have a very skilful driving techniques required."

"Overall not bad, bed quite comfortable. But there is not much space in the room. And there is a gym at outside like semi open space so during night is quite dark."

"Although got confused when checking in because it's a self check-in and no front desk, but I contact WA number and chat to ask how, he showed me the way and it's so easy, the place is totally clean and calm, you can find many restaurants around but the hotel is a little far from the main tourist attraction, recommended for those who travel with groups 😉"

"New Homestay establishment, clean and cozy. No housekeeping services for our 3 nights stay, no disposable slippers, no changing of towels... etc Swimming pool and gym at roof top, nice view while working out in the gym."
