"I researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”. If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past. Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years. Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel. It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler. Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip! Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working. It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet. Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is in a great location, but parking is a bit limited. The bed linen had a slight smell, but after I mentioned it, they quickly changed it, which was appreciated. The room cleaning service was excellent. The night staff didn’t seem as welcoming, but the morning staff was much friendlier. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!"

"It is a 7 years old hotel. Located near to town center. Easy and ample parking space in front of the hotel, free of charge. The room is spacious, the mattress is quite comfortable. 3 storey building with 2 lifts, needs to scan key card to your designated floor, even going to ground floor of reception counter, so security is good enough. The cleaning needs to improve, a bit uncomfortable smell upon entering the room."

"Great location across from the Ipoh Padang and right next to the heart of old Ipoh town, within walking distance of food spots at touristic heritage laneways like Concubine and Market Lanes. Good value for what you pay for, the updated rooms are adequately appointed with comfy beds and all necessary standard conveniences are provided. We noticed that the sound-proofing has been good or it could be also attributed maybe to the lower occupancy at our floor. There was enough storage for our clothes at the open-rack style wardrobe, which is expected at this no-frills style accommodation. Nice town view outside our window as well. Worth a returning stay as it has been super convenient!"

"A deposit of RM100 is required upfront before checking in the hotel, and they only accept cash or card. If it's paid by card, they will only return your deposit in 2 week's time, something I find ridiculous. Luckily I paid in cash so it doesn't apply to me. Other than that, I find the facilities to be satisfactory, the complimentary tea and breakfast to be adequate and the hotel staff to be very courteous. The strongest point is actually the location, which is right next to a shopping mall."

"My room had spoiled toilet fan which created loud noises and vibrations. We had to off the toilet lights switch to stop the noise. Beside that our room aircon was noisy as well and the temperature was so hot that even the corridor feel cooler than our room. We had to call the lobby desk for help and that dispatched a guy over but could not fix the issues except for the temperature. The desk staff said that they do not have spare room to exchange so we had to bear with the aircon noise throughout the night. My parents’ room had spoiled toilet shower which kee falling off from the holder. Beside that, the hotel spa was on the same level as our room, when we arrived the level was filled with customers coming for the spa reservation which i feel is kind of uncomfortable due to the overwhelmed crowd. When we checkout, the staff mentioned about giving 50% off on our next stay. But honestly with such quality amenities, i couldnt even considering staying here again."

"Hotel exterior and rooms seems to have some update. Room is quite clean, shower water pressure is good, staff is friendly. Only issue I had was there seems to be some hair oil smell on the pillows, I used a disposable face tower to lay over it to minimize the smell, just a 1 night stay so didn't make a fuss abt it."

"Very convenient, the pre arrival information for guest is accurate, making it’s really easy from self check in to check out. Room is big and clean but voice of passing motorbikes and cars can be annoying some times, even ear plugs are provided. The parking space is quiet limit, and for underground level, entrance and turns are very narrow, required full attention and may not suitable for van or big suv. Many restaurants near by, few open late at night."
